When looking at HSreplay statistics, these 2 statistics are usually dramatically different depending on the card. What stat do you guys see as more important when trying to make deck changes or tech choices?

It depends on the card. A lot of people parrot back stats (like the guy who said DK Rexxar is a bad card) without putting them in context.
For example, in Freeze Mage, Pyroblast had an incredibly high played w/r. But that's because you're playing it when you win the game.
By contrast, you include some cards to give you different types of game in different situations. DK Rexxar is like 46% played w/r in Spell Hunter. It looks like a bad card if that's all the thought you give it. But it's played to give you a coinflip win in certain otherwise unwinnable matchups. Sometimes, you will still lose those games, but I'd take a 50/50 shot to win over a 100% loss.
tl;dr They're both important. You need to use both and context to fully paint the picture of how good the card is.
Ticking abomination has a crazy played winrate, because its only played at the end of the game to secure the victory. The drawn winrate is waaaaay lower. Mechathun has the worst played winrate because its not meant to be played, the drawn winrate is way higher offcourse.
It really depends on the card (is it a comeback card, a combo piece, a value card, etc...) and on the deck (are you aggro, midrange, control, OTK?). Good luck on your HS endeavours!
