Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
Switch over to Wild, log in one of the viable aggro decks there (for example Pirate Warrior) and have fun! :)
At least there real aggro decks still exist. In Standard the best we can get are tempo decks.
As said before: Wild is your destination: yes, there exist some really slow decks, but we also have some very strong aggro: Odd Rogue, Pirate Warrior and Mech Hunter: quite fast decks; winrate is for me at least positive; not as high as other decks, but it is fast. You know on turn 6 if you lose or not, and if you lose, give up, next game.
If you want real aggro or faster meta, Wild is your destination. Just be careful of really slow decks; but if there are too many of them, switch to Mill-Rogue and destroy them.
I mean,I was playing priest vs odd hunter earlier, he got destroyed super early and by turn 6/7 i was super far ahead on the board and almost full health while he had no cards in hand,so I did what every sadistic Little fuck such as myself would have done,i didn't attack his face EVER,I only traded with his board and healed my face, eventually he conceded(After a surprising amounts of turns)
I was wondering if I had been too mean but After Reading your post i want to go back in time and play that particular game on a loop Forever (btw why are u bothered,if you want fast games just go play an aggro or face deck and win or lose on the flip of a coin in the First 6-10 turns)
Yes the game it not decided enough by draw RNG, let us have more of that! and don't let players see more than 10 cards from a 30 card deck - great idear... haha.
Playing a lot of Control Warrior and Control Warlock right now. Most of my games go to Fatigue and I like it that way. At the moment.
I have an Odd Paladin in the wings in case I get bored... 🤔
can I see the code for your control lock please? just wondering what your draft looks like. I know they have stayed the same for a long time now, but it's cool to see what slight differences there are, as there's always a couple of cards that are different. you playing rin still? what about skull/lackies etc?
Is your odd pally a mech one? I built one of those on the first day of Boomsday. just changing it up a bit now and going to test drive it.
Do you think kangors endless army is too slow?
u can use this list if u like controllock that much:
If u like odd pala use this:
looks pretty similar to what I'd run for warlock, minus the zilliax and corpse takers (although zilliax might be beneficial on it's own)
I got two odd paladins right now. one is a mech deck and the other is like yours, but it has liam and cauldron in it for fun. it does well unless it doesn't. ha ha. I imagine the standard one you listed probably has a much higher winrate.
when you get to use liam though it can be great to get some extra value from the 1 drops later in the game. if you get something good from cauldron like a buff it can win you the game as well.
ofc relying on 2 cards to win is a bad idea, but I don't think it does any damage to the basic deck to facilitate these 2 cards so might as well. it does mean I don't have the draw from divine favour, but if I feel I need this I will work it in somehow. (I have -1 divine favour -1 stormwind champion, + prince liam +1 cauldron)
I play fatigue priest. Avg about 15-20 mins per game, provided my opponent is not slow af
the fact that fatigue priest is a thing in standard proves my point.
Fatigue priest is standard ? lol. Are you even playing the same game ?
play vs a mechathun…. they pull out the mechathun and then it gets destroyed same turn, no counter to it
Even in standard this is really only the case against Mecha'Thun Lock (and even then some counters can still hit it).
Mana Wraith is a legit counter to Mecha'Thun Priest if you wait til their hand size is down to the appropriate level, rendering the combo unplayable. Same goes for Mecha'Thun Druid. The only thing that would stop this from working is if they were sitting on a 0 mana Pounce or Silence (which honestly they usually wouldn't do because this is not a common tech used against them). As warlock you should also always win against these two Mecha'Thun decks as control. Simply sit on Demonic Project and instantly win the game. If the Mecha'Thun Priest hemets and you play Gnomeferatu and you have drawn it you can also instantly win the game if you don't hit something like a Psychic Scream.
I'm fine with games being longer most of the time. If you have fast metas then you just run into the whole aggro/burn Yu-Gi-Oh metas where you end up not seeing almost any meaningful percentage of the released cards seeing play.If control or combo decks never live to produce a long game then you might as well not even release higher cost cards since they end up as wasted space. And as many have already mentioned fast games even more heavily turns the game into a giant coin flip that is even easier to predict the outcome of a game based on the mulligan you receive.
Id honestly be fine with meta if they cut the damn turn timers into a quarter of what they are currently
Ok - I can get on board with that. Nothing annoys me more than when someone takes almost the full rope time on turns 1-3...your options are limited, just make a decision!
Is it? I was seeing tons of midrange hunters, odd rogue, secret hunters, even paladin yesterday on the ladder. If you're seeing a lot of slow decks play things that punish it, either with super fast start or late game win condition. The only slow deck i've been seeing consistently is bore-ior.
Wtf, I dont get it how people can enjoy playing brainless odd paladin or tempo rogue instead of control and combo decks. Its waay more interesting than just hitting face...

It sounds like you just need to find the right deck. There are several competitive decks whose average game length right now is around 6 minutes.
play norzdamu or whatever it's called? the one that cuts the time in half.

i still remember back in 2017 when everyone was asking for a control meta... and now in the hunter meta people are complaining that it is to slow...
i will never understand the hearthstone community.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Can we all just admit that the game just isnt as fun as it used to be overall?
legit remember this. ha ha. I was praying for control warlock to be great again pre K&C. I got my wishes :D

its not half, its like 20%

Perfect example of a player who plays to win rather than play to have fun. You guys are what will eventually destroy the game.
By what and deck list please?
