It's not a coinflip, I win most matchups against Hunter. Although many think it's a braindead deck, people actually misplay enough for you to win the game. I've won so many matchups doing the trades while other people just went face like idiots and lost the game because of it.
I'm playing Hunter because I have all the cards and it's my only class below 200 ranked wins (mostly using it as tournament class only). It's coin-flip in terms of "rock-paper-scissors", because there're at least three tier1 Hunter decks atm - Secret, Spells and Deathrattles and outcome depends mostly of what Hunter you're facing with what Hunter, that's what I mean.
Yes, immediately after the nerf, 90% was Deathrattle Hunter (including myself, don't have the required legendaries for the other meta decks yet). The other 10% was zoolock, and one Shudderwock, who rained 1000 saronites on me after it was played. He still lost, lol.
Imagine you learned how to play well. Your “coin flips” would turn into 60-40’s. Your favorable matchups (say 60-40’s) would become better (70-30). Your unfavorable matchups (say 35-65) would become closer (45-55). You would be able to climb.
I just started and played against 5 Hunters in a row hahahahahahaha its so saaaaaaaaaaaaaaad but i won 4/5 with my Dragon Warrior and that deck is still in beta
I can see that. Dragon warrior has some very nice clears and can bring on the supporting pressure. Not quite sure how it'll handle the death knight thouigh but MAYYBEE you can tool the deck to be midrange and, thus, kill the hunter before that gets too strong? Or perhaps it's better as a tempo deck.
We RealLY need to be playing with that deck more. It's not really tested yet.
Ok so I decided to play with a Secret Hunter a bit today - first three decks were two Hunters with Flare on turn 3-4 and then Rush Warrior with Chief Inspector on turn 4 coin. Nice.
Just got to legend tonight with a way fun discard version of heal zoo. I crafted High Priestess Jeklik on Sunday (I was rank 5) and today (Thursday) it took me to legend. It was fun to play a competitive deck that I’ve never seen anyone else play. It handles hunters (all of them), priests, druids, and OTK paladin all really well. Struggles against big odd mage. I’m not posting this for any self promotion (in fact I have never made a deck on hearthpwn before this one) but this deck was just so fun I wanted to post it. So if you’re looking for a fun zoolock deck check out my link!
...but couldn't, because 9 of 10 my opponents were Hunters too and it's coin-flip only. Nice nerfs btw haHAA.

Secret Hunter is so Dec 20th. The Meta keeps on changing. Adapt or die.
Forum logic #1: To climb you need to stick to one deck all the time and play it to perfection.
Forum logic #2: Meta is changing, you need to switch decks and adapt every day.
Pick one.
