People would get to experiment, and a cool meta would evolve. People now don't have the cards to try different things. Now, they just craft the best meta deck they can afford and play that.
People would try new things, and then more creative decks would be out there. Also, people would get to see what cards actually work and craft based on that, rather than crafting whatever has the most upvotes because they can't try anything else.
People would still buy/craft after because they'd find the things that they wanted after the 3 days passed.
What would happen is that people wpuld experiment for half a day, like every time during the launch, figure out the best decks and play those all the time. Basically npthing would change. Lack of collection is not what is preventing players from experimenting. People want to play the best decks, not some experimental wood tier garbagefire
. People would probably also play more fun decks and there would be less "tryhards".
i can tell you that's not the case, if you dont believe me, i DARE you, download yugioproh and go to ranked or casual matches, whichever you prefer, in ygoproh you have access to every single damn card that's ever been released and when you try to play any mode, it's people always playing the same 2-3 meta decks DESPITE having access to every single card on the game, go ahead try it yourself, acces to all the cards actually makes people try hard more..

So, you’re saying the Hearthstone community is like Yu-Gi-Oh’s? I mean yeah our community isn’t one of the bests but c’mon.
Oh this couldn't possibly go wrong within 12 hours.
Love the enthusiasm, but this would become a shit show in 12 hours, at most. Everyone would end up net-decking for the best decks possible and ladder would be an absolute mess.
God, I'm having flashbacks to DuelingNetwork, fun system, but when you're given access to every card, ranked becomes nothing but meta decks.
. People would probably also play more fun decks and there would be less "tryhards".

Really? Even in casual? I didn't expect that. But after all we do live in a competition plagued culture. I still would prefer that all cards are available for everyone just because it can be so hard to make a specific fun meme deck if you only have some of the cards. Although there is the amazing deck sharing feature in friendly games. And one big advantage over other modes is that you can talk to the other person. So maybe it wouldn't actually change much and wouldn't improve the game much. It's just that I think a lot of people play Ranked only to get the rewards even though they might enjoy fun meme games more, but they just don't have the cards for it and are "forced" to play Ranked just to get what they really want. But maybe that's just a minority. Nonetheless having more access is always better than less. But unfortunately in a competitive environment that means more competition. So I understand what you mean. It... really... sucks.
well i was kind of hoping you to download the program and see it for yourself ( and to some extent get excited for having a program where you own all the cards) , but i'm serious with it, even in a game where you dont play for rewards because you have everything avaliable to you from the start people are just playing the top Metadecks despite not getting anything for winning.
I do think all this would do is lead to the "best decks", but I do think they would be different. Reluctance to craft certain new cards can limit their testing. If everyone could be encouraged to test out the new cards I think their integration would be faster and different. It is my opinion that the "best decks" right now are not the best. They are simply what seems reliable in comparison to what others are playing. It will only take a couple decks that also seem good to start shifting the meta. I believe they are already in the cards. They just need to be found. The problem right now is that meta is defined by how much leverage the pilot has. That ultimately is what makes win rate high. Yes how good the deck is, but mostly how good the deck is if you are piloting it in a suboptimal way. Not just a deck playing itself. This is a little different, although it has been worse in the past.
How would this change anything in the competitive environment exactly? If you care more about winning, and you find that fun, than how is letting other players unlock everything going to suddenly make the meta more explorative/experimental?
. People would probably also play more fun decks and there would be less "tryhards".

Well neither of Ygo or Hearthstone's community is in the nuclear warzone level of lol's community so the comparison might be fair.

I think I even tried it a few years ago (or maybe a similar program), but it was rather boring for me in the end. Although I didn't go too deep into it, but it just seemed too much "focus on winning" and not much else you can really do. What I really love about HS is that it doesn't take itself too seriously and we get all kinds of RNG cards to have fun with. In games like YuGiOh or Magic you don't see cards like Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, Marin the Fox, or Witch's Cauldron. Although something like this couldn't be easily implemented in a physical card game and that's still very relevant for those games. So that's probably also a reason why with a game like YuGiOh people are still "tryharding" - the game has too many "win-oriented" cards or at least not enough "fun/meme" cards. If I just think about it... Before HS I also played a bit of Magic, but everything is so boring and "linear" looking at it now in comparison with HS. How did I ever enjoy that? So yeah, I won't get excited anymore for something so "tryhardy" as YuGiOh or Magic.
U realy cannot make card like Yogg for YGO cuz it would have to have pool of cards and you would have to own it ( mainly talking about TCG which is a focus of this game). U do still have some degree of radom in this game but u woudnt want to put in in your deck Cards like Dice jar or Sand gambler or Zorc althou its fun thing to pull it off. As for YGO both TCG and OCG there are a LOT viable deck atm. At my regionals people were playing around 20 diferent decks not just variations of same stuff. And yea they are optimised around their respective archetypes which i cant realy say about HS. As for YGOpro people like to play from burning abys (to some stuf like skystrikers goukis and similar bs) to mill/burn/banish decks a lot. Idk what to teell u exept that guy had some wierd expiriance of him sucking in a childrens card game so he uninstalled game and burned hard drive after he exited the game. YGO is incredibly fast game atm and times when someone could just put a single face down and call it a turn are over.
Hs atm doesent allow "Fun play". At this state. U can have fun with frends at HS as so with any game. People wanna win usualy games. Concede button is there for a reason. Its extremly rare for someone to stay after u have leathal and say lets u play yogg and stuff. Facing hard oponent and outplying them in a game is also part of the fun.
Horrible idea, people would just get to the netdecking instantly, rather than experimenting with what they got. Something like this would be better as a tavern brawl.
The thing with Ygo is that we have somehow buit comunity aound concept of meta and casual. So even on tournaments we have tables where we play rogue strats. I get what are u saying but u realy cant do it without frends that are into same thing.
That could make people expirement a little but not having the cards is not the issue here, they dont expirement because they want to farm wins against new and unconsistant decks
Lack of collection is not what is preventing players from experimenting.
I think you'd be surprised. Sure, there are some players who wouldn't take advantage of it, but there are a whole lot of people who would. I would like to experiment more with stupid decks, but I already spend way too much dust on noncompetitive meme decks as it is.

be kind and considerate
They can even do this in Tavern brawl so that it can not effect ranked.
How would this change anything in the competitive environment exactly? If you care more about winning, and you find that fun, than how is letting other players unlock everything going to suddenly make the meta more explorative/experimental?

maybe just a for tavern brawl

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
I'd say 3 days with other expansions locked in standard game mode. Only classic and the new expansion for 3 days.
I will crush you!
