Just checked my Innkeeper to see what cards I miss and the worst results are
GVG: 146/227
TGT: 189/244
MSG: 179/247
Everything else is over 200 cards (except Rastakhan ofc)
"Well you could craft the cards you want"
Sure I could do that but do I want to use my precious dust for epic and legendaries that will probably fail and are wild only? Cause most of the cards I would like to craft are epics or legendaries. And the fact that I could open a GVG pack with no duplicates is a shit ton better than opening a pack for 40 dust and trying to somehow save up for the epics and legendaries. But I guess some nice things we can't have here, maybe because it probably makes Blizzard more money to keep wild packs unavailable. Don't give me anything of that "new players will accidentally buy the packs/its confusing" shit. Just make 2 tabs. 1 for standard and 1 for wild.
But you don't even have 200+ on Rastakhan, would you really buy wild packs over Rastakhan rn ? And if you did that, you wouldn't have any gold left for new expansions once they come out.
Hell yea boi. I want a wild pack. just 100 gold filled with all the cards that are wild only. good luck getting that legendary you desperately want, but at least this way we aren't limited to crafting only, and dust tbh is more valuable than gold these days.

Really ? So you want all the expansions to be mixed into a single pack rather than making all the sets available ? Your idea would make the ''wild pack'' way too inconsistent, especially for someone who wants rares and epics from a specific set.
I don´t need them, but I would still like it, if Wild packs were again avaible for gold. But this will never happen, because is would be "too confusing for too many players" -.- ...
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
Never happening, blizzard foresaw the fact that wild would eventually grow to be a format that would at least be formidable as an option and in preparation for that they wanted to make sure that anyone who wanted to sustain themselves and wild has to pay actual money. Because whether it's blizzard, riot, or any other game company you can think of apparently it doesn't matter how good your game is or how accessible it can be, all that matters is how much money you can literally squeezed from every single person even if it makes the game unfair for those who can't put it in. :)

Hi i'm Tyler and I play hearthstone and watch anime.
Sometimes i make cards. I'd like to do that for a career one day if ever possible.
Hell yea boi. I want a wild pack. just 100 gold filled with all the cards that are wild only. good luck getting that legendary you desperately want, but at least this way we aren't limited to crafting only, and dust tbh is more valuable than gold these days.

...Never said i'd rather have that? I said a wild pack bc realistically, you can expect blizzard to NEVER make all the old sets available again. It's much more monetizable for them to make a wild pack, where we have to spend even more to hope and get what we want. It would also be less UI cluster for their shop. Again, never said I'd rather have that, but it's just way more realistic considering income for the company, and size of the game.
But you don't even have 200+ on Rastakhan, would you really buy wild packs over Rastakhan rn ? And if you did that, you wouldn't have any gold left for new expansions once they come out.
Regardless of this player's current collection status, I agree that there should be a way to buy Wild packs with gold. I believe Blizzard has said before they don't include them in the in game shop as to not confuse new players. Because they think buying a pack (or packs) that can't then be used in Standard with the rest of your cards, and not realizing it until after the purchase is a bad experience. A friend mentioned there may also be an issue with including that many pack types in the store, specifically for the mobile client.
But even if they only made them available in-game on PC, that would be better than nothing!
I for one am at a point with my RR cards that I'm content, but I like to spend the first couple months using gold on packs. I could continue buying Raven packs for the set I'm furthest along on my pity timer (which I track), or I could just save for next expansion at this point. But if I had an option to buy packs from Wild with gold? I might do that right now! I didn't play a lot during the GvG and TGT time period so I'm missing a ton of cards in those sets, and I don't have a ton of dust right now as I crafted a few new cards I wanted/needed for new decks.
I'm just saying, especially with Adventures now gone from the in-game store, when you click that "Store" button there is a lot of empty space! Could add a "Wild" section that allows users to still buy Wild packs and Adventure wings with gold. If you're worried about new players being confused, throw in a warning from the Innkeeper that cards from this section can only be used in Wild. Again, could be a PC only feature if it's too much for the mobile client as my one friend suggested.

Considering that 99% of wild players are better off just crafting the wild only cards they need instead of buying packs I don't think making money off of wild is their main concern.
Who thinks that Blizzard should do away with the "evergreen" Classic set, and start having a rotating "standard set"?!
In other words, each year you would have a standard core set of 400+ cards (whatever Classic is made up of), but that year's standard set would be comprised of Classic and other various cards from various "wild" sets. That way if a "Classic" card is too limiting in terms of their design space for something they want to do, just don't include it in that standard set. Also, if something ends up being too OP and they didn't foresee it being an issue, just swap it for another card mid-year instead of a nerf. If it continues to be way too OP and oppressive in Wild, sure, maybe then implement a nerf (look into nerf of the new card first before considering nerfing the old card).
Instead of buying Classic packs in game, or getting them as rewards, they would be replaced with "Year of the X" packs, which contain only the cards in that year's Standard core set. Every individual Standard and Wild set would still be available in the Blizzard store, and so would original Classic packs. As for the Welcome Bundle... you could maybe keep that as Classic packs. I imagine that a majority of the core set cards would come from Classic still anyway, with maybe around half being from other sets, depending on the year.
And some cards, when they move to Wild can just stay there permanently. For example, if they want to keep Ragnaros and Sylvanas in Hall of Fame, sure! They can be "Ice Blocked" from Standard that way (unless they come back as a token minion, of course!). Also, some non-Classic cards in Wild could either be moved to HoF or just never be brought back to Standard. For example, if this proposed system was put into place, and cards like Genn and Baku never came back to Standard after moving to Wild, I don't think too many people would complain about that!
I know, I'm way off topic for this thread, and this should all be sent to Blizzard, not here, but I personally think this would be a great idea. What do you guys think?!
But you don't even have 200+ on Rastakhan, would you really buy wild packs over Rastakhan rn ? And if you did that, you wouldn't have any gold left for new expansions once they come out.
When I start playing arena I will have Rastakhan over 200 in a week or 2
I don´t need them, but I would still like it, if Wild packs were again avaible for gold. But this will never happen, because is would be "too confusing for too many players" -.- ...
It is too confusing. People still messed up buying the intended packs when it was just classic packs and GvG packs lmao
Hell yea boi. I want a wild pack. just 100 gold filled with all the cards that are wild only. good luck getting that legendary you desperately want, but at least this way we aren't limited to crafting only, and dust tbh is more valuable than gold these days.

The way you wrote it you made it seem as though it was a good idea or a good thing.. IMO it isn't and would be terrible.
It would be really nice to be able to buy Wild packs. In my case I would really like to play wild but I started playing around Ungoro so I don't have a lot of wild cards, and crafting everything that you need is expensive and you can't afford to craft a lot of things to experiment on wild (Well, I least I can't). There are a lot of cards that would be cool to play with if you unpack them but you wouldn't craft, for example cards to make a meme deck or good cards that don't have a really good deck featuring them. For example I would like to try Sergeant Sally in a Handbuff paladin, or deathrattle paladin with Da undatakah and N'zoth (Wich I also don't have because I would need to craft more wild cards to make it worth it) but I don't have the dust to afford to see if it works (Probably not) when I can craft a staple or something safe that I could use in more decks. Also the next rotation will bring more cards to wild, so if a future player would like to play wild, it will be even more expensive to craft everything to make a wild deck, so having the chance to buy wild packs would encourage more players to join wild.
But you don't even have 200+ on Rastakhan, would you really buy wild packs over Rastakhan rn ? And if you did that, you wouldn't have any gold left for new expansions once they come out.
*Shrugs* due to the nature of wild in general the wild meta changes much more slowly than standard anyway so unless the new expansions come out with major powercreeped cards like the DKs, Mana Wyrm/Tunnel Trogg, etc you are only missing out on playing with fresher & newer shinies as opposed to new cards that are really essential for using in wild. So if you're missing something from an old wild set I see no problem in spending gold/dust in diving deeper into older sets, even if you miss out on some newer stuff.
OP, the sad truth is that HS is the product of a business looking to earn money. This is compounded by the fact that the game follows the F2P model, which means they need micro-transactions to be profitable. The entire excuse about 'New standard-only players getting confused and buying the wrong packs.' was always a terribly weak and fairly transparent excuse to not just come out and say that it goes against their business model. Considering how easy it is to throw in a toggle for buying new packs by stating that it is wild only is very easy to do from a programming stand point and it has been done for crafting wild cards the only thing holding Blizzard back from making them purchasable with gold is that they lose money by doing so.
I would really like to be able to buy the old adventures in Gold. Having started around MSG, I bought Karazhan with gold accross several months (doing dailies and playing arena, while saving gold slowly). And it was a lot of fun, as well as some good card value !
I sometime play the previous adventures again, with new decks, for example the Lich King with Spell Hunter. And I would really like to play the old adventures and mess with them with various decks, but I don't like being stuck behind a paywall, just because I was not there when they first came out... I wouldn't even mind not getting the card rewards, just enjoying this PvE experience would be nice.

Do this on battle net forums not here... this is just some third party forum created by fans... Blizzard read their main forum not hearthpwn...
