Zoolock certainly doesn't have a favorable matchup vs Hunter, be it Spell Hunter or Secrets Hunter. Taunt Druid has by far the most favorable matchup vs these Hunter decks, also Kingsbane Rogue and Odd Mage have favorable matchups.
Zoolock just loses if Hunter Curves out (which is what all Hunters try to do).
Taunt Druid just wins by miles that is not even fun for Hunter, Hunter versus Taunt Druid has to be the most unfun matchup for Hunter.
Big Spell Mage is also not a guaranteed/big chance of winning just because DK Rexxar is soo strong given the right beasts.
But since Hunter is very weak to wide boards naturally Taunt Druid is the best counter to it, you do not even need to test for Hunter Secrets until you have a huge board.
Dragon Priest and Kingsbane rogue beat down most hunter decks (Duskbreaker curves hard against spellstone)
I've been playing a Star Aligner Druid with a 73% win rate and it's best matchups are Druids and Hunters.
Why punish the hunter just because OP suck at game?

Kingsbane seems cool against them.
Ooze will remove weapons and there are a few cards to remove secrets...that would put a dent in their combos...at least a few of them.
I've been playing a Steal/Dragon/MB priest, my win rate vs hunters depends heavily on how fast i reach my MB combo, how good their draw is and how lucky they are with Rexxar (Infinite value with heal/armour beasts is difficult to beat).
The match-up is not easy as the Hunter can fill the board over and over with Spellstones, Animal companions and Call of the Wild. Those are 6 waves you need to take care, and at 4 Attack, not easy to deal with as priest (even more so Misha, with 4 health). And then you have the final fill with Zul'jin. I'm relying hard on the combo Duskbreaker + Seance, and Mass Hysteria to deal with them until i get my combo.
The problem with my deck is draw (which i have none, except discoveries) and two dead cards against Spell hunter - Cloning Device. On the flip side, stealing Zul'jin is amazing with all the spells in the deck, especially Mind Blast.
Against hunters i have 63% winrate. Any suggestion is welcomed.
PS: I do not have Quest nor Archbishop, and i know that would make the deck better. I'm also thinking to drop Princess Talanji and Firetree Witchdoctor as their utility is situational at best, maybe tech into secret removal.

Use Chief Inspector, it could help, even with odd mage.
Kingsbane Rogue works well depending on the opening hand. If i get an aoe/kingsbane in my first three draws i almost always win. The only problem it seems for Kingsbane rogue is a turn 5 Emerald Spell stone. However, having an already buffed kingsbane/vanish always seems to help get past that initial spell stone. After turn six, Hunters simply cannot beat Kingsbane unless they get value from Rexxar but even then its hard for them. Zuljin is good and all but a bladeflurry/vanish instantly clears his board and leaves him no chance :).
I don't see many hunters to be honest, and with maly druid it's a 50/50 matchup.
