Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
Moderators, please give to op the achievement of dumbest post on the site ever.
I assure you, this one doesn't even crack the top 10.
well it isn't a stupid post, because blizz named a banlist as "hall of fame" instead of "banlist" it was a matter of time someone got confused and people won't ever crack the top 180-200 stupid posts because the top 180-200 stupid posts are all occupied by the first 29 pages of this thread.
This thread is one more reason for Blizz to don´t give us a tournament mode. Even the HoF is to confusing for some players -.- ...
The topic is interesting - but I am sure there are allready several thread about this in this forum, so better post there.
Actually, after having used a 'search before you post' site, I don't mind duplicate threads and appreciate that this board doesnt't have that rule. Especially in an ever-changing game, old threads tend to lose relevancy and are not useful for continued discussion.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
U'all are stupid and blind, Im sorry but seriosly look at the cards you are typing. Malygos is never leaving classic, nobody is gonna remove stonetusk boar!
Its gonna be Nourish and Naturalize. I can see a change to Preparation
They are core cards in too many archetypes. Naturalize used to be laughable card in classic-whisperofthegods time. U just couldnt give ur opponent so much carddraw. Now? We ve got many discovery cards, wider combos, better carddraw of our own and most importantly Druid have UI. They dont care if u have 8 cards, they have 10 all the time.
Boar is actually a big problem. Sure the card is weak, but because of its low cost, it likely gets thrust into every design discussion the devs have. New cards you could get are being shitcanned so boar can live. Do you really want boar over new, exciting cards?
Mind Control Tech needs to go for sure, such an annoying card. They really need to look at how they design cards that punish going wide on board. Spreading Plague is the biggest joke of them all, thank god it will rotate in 4 months.
mtc wont go anywhere only deck defining and slot constraining cards go to HoF, ice block, Ice lance, molten giant and oracle went to HoF because as long as they existed freeze mage would always exist in standard with little variation and they were afraind no one would try to play quest mage if there was the possibility of just playing Freeze mage, as for giant they stated that they were bored of seeing handlock and that it was a deck that would stay in standard forever as long as molten giant stayed in standard.
while Sylvannas and Rag went to Hof ebcause when they built decks during playtesting and tried to add an 8 or a 6 drp, those two would lalways come up on top of all of the other contenders, so it was either power creep those slots or sending both to HoF.
MTC isn't neither deck defining nor slot constraining, there's no MTC mage and there's plenty of 3 drops many decks would run over him, and he can be super easily played around.

The card cannot be exciting if 1/1 charge can break it, its that simple. Boar is not the problem, its a good piece of something bigger at best - quest rogue and rexxar. Im actually quite depressed that we are never gonna see any other charge card printed coz of their fear. Argent commander was a great card, hopefuly to be back in hearthstone
tuskboar: this card isn't op team 5 just named it as "limiting design space" i'm not sure why but it assume they can't push make beasts great themes with it around because those themes + a cheap charge minion ends up being too strong
It limits design space for the same reason Master of Disguise did - because any time they design a card they have to keep in mind that there exists a 1-mana neutral Charge minion. Charge is an uninteractive mechanic, and 1 mana is cheap enough to slot into all sorts of combos. Just because there aren't Stonetusk Boar OTKs running around right now, that doesn't mean the card isn't still a problem. Hell, such decks not existing is evidence of the problem - Blizz are having to bend over backwards to ensure they can't possibly exist. It's got absolutely nothing to do with the card being a beast (although that certainly doesn't help when we specifically talk about hunter and druid).
The HS playerbase fear and hatred of OTK decks are misplaced
3 cards: Nourish, Brawl, Shield Slam(maybe?), and .HoF is for Classis btw.
Nourish: Should be put into HoF in 2018, almost every Druid's deck run Nourish and the card itself is just too good to make a spare space to other cards except in Spiteful deck. No one cut Nourish because it is pure ******** when doing so. It used to be used for drawing 3 in most of the time, but with UI, the card become more versatile.
Brawl: Legit every slow Warrior deck runs this card. Before Baku was present, Reckless Flurry had never been used. Designing a removal card for Warrior is kinda meh, when Warrior has Brawl, same happens with Shield Slam. When Brawl and Shield Slam goes wild, we may see different removals used in Warrior, almost every game seeing a Warrior have Brawl and Shield Slam on turn 4, or 5 is extremely boring. The Brawl's value is much higher compare to other board clear such as scream, nether, Lightbomb,....
I feel like there is a misunderstanding of why things go to the HoF. Things don't go there simply because they are class staples (such as your examples of Nourish & Brawl) otherwise every class staple in every deck would deserve to be HoFed. A particular card being used all of the time in a class doesn't mean it is overpowered, but that the class generally follows a particular playstyle and/or theme that was given to them when the game launched.
Problematic, frequently-played, and design-hindering cards in Standard format are moved to the Hall of Fame to remove them from play in Standard format. When cards are moved to the Hall of Fame set, they are removed from their previous sets, and no longer appear in card packs from their former set or be offered as rewards in the Arena, Highest Rank Bonus chest, or Heroic Tavern Brawl.[2] For another reason, cards were also moved to the Hall of Fame to eliminate the Reward and Promo sets.
The developers state that, in the future, they will more likely move problematic Classic cards to the Hall of Fame, whereas problematic cards from other sets will be nerfed instead.[3]
According to Yong Woo, if a metagame largely consists of decks with too similar cores and ideas, the development team will consider making changes to problematic cards found in such decks. Moving problematic cards into the Hall of Fame is one way in which a fresh meta can be ensured; however, it is not something that the designers plan to do on a regular basis.[4]
And I can hardly name a candidate for 2019 HoF. Unlike last years, we don't see the Auctioneer popping up on the ladder (last time I saw him was back in K&C , when he was used in Razakus priest and in jade druid). Imho Malygos is good for the game, because he allows combo archtypes to exist. If ppl are tired of seeing those decks, then they should transform this hatred into a request for techs. As stated above, MCT is only problematic in arena, not in constructed. I personally think, that's perfectly reasonable to be forced to play around certain cards and to be punished, when you overcommit. Spreading plague punishes board flooding decks way too much, but MCT is fine.
The only card I see as a potential candidate is Divine Favor, because the paladin can overcommit on the board and will be able to refill their hand and continue the pressure. Imho shadowstep wouldn't have seen that much play recently, if it wasn't for the Caverns below. Preparation on the other hand could be HoF-ed, in order for rogue to get cheaper spells in the future. Come to think of it, Prep kinda falls into this category - ice block was limiting the design of defensive tools for mage - so I can totally see, if this gets the same treatment.
They are rotating out anyways... They're in KoFT...
I know that but it's more about what cards go to the hall of fame because they deserve it and because you get a full dust refund for them.
that's not the point of Hall of Fame, they just send the cards there to get rid of it from standard. (AKA, Classic\Basic set), expansion cards to go to HoF, they usually wait till rotation or nerf them.
My guess is, Malygos WONT go to HoF, if he goes, OTK decks will take a massive hit, if he goes, Leeroy Jenkins must follow him for the same reason.
The expectation is so hard because they do these things to avoid the HoFamed card from being abused, for example we bid farewell to Sylvanas Windrunner and Ragnaros, Firelord because we got Eternal Servitude and Free From Amber and Twilight's Call.
This js because he is one of the most important characters out of the world of warcraft (a whole expansion dedicated to him)
Not only this, he is also one of the most used legendaries from kotft. Hes in almost all druid decks, even shamen and many more big minion/control decks.
This is because he is in almost every deck nowadays, mostly used by aggro decks like zoo warlock but he also sees play in decks like deathrattle hunter.
What cards do you think that will go to the hall of fame?
Beyond that. not many basic cards I'd really see as "Problematic" Cold Blood and various charge cards could be seen as such but they haven't exactly been standing out as game breaking, Malygos, however has definitely been sticking out, more so because of cards that enable it as a combo/otk, I would imagine it's hard for them to build expansions around Malygos.

OP thought hall of fame is for cool cards
Malygos will rotate without a doubt.. that card is limiting so much in terms of minion cheat and cheap spells
also probably MCT

In 4 month most of you are gonna ask to HoF completely different cards.

This is not how the HOF works.
I think they should strongly consider Preparation and Wild Growth. Nourish doesn't feel as bad because it comes later in the game. Maybe look at Mountain Giant.
I can't really think of any card that could get hall of famed at the moment honestly
I agree. However, he should be removed from Arena at least.
Hall of fame cards are generally from the basic set, cards that are naturally rotated out won't be included in it.
My guess however
Malygos
