We've only had a short amount of time to play around with the new cards, but let's hear your kneejerk first reactions. Mine are the following.
1. Odd Mage is legit. The deck has draw, end game power, DK Jaina, and it's pretty fun too.
2. Paladin Fans will be disappointed. I've played against a few people trying out Heal or Buff decks. I've crushed them badly. There could be a few reasons for this. These decks feel like they will need refined a lot and they will also probably be hard to pilot. It may eventually be OK, but I just don't see this going as well as people hope.
3. Zentimo is awesome. I was lucky and pulled him golden. I had a paladin rage quit after I Zentimo'd into Hex to take out his undertaker and a buffed up prelate. I've also had some great mid-game plays with him and Earth Shock just decimating an opponents board. I don't know if he'll be a tier 1 card but he's good fun.
For me so far, I think Zul'jin is an absolute beast of a card. Was super behind against an odd mage with jaina already out, played Zul'jin after they used all their board clear and they just conceded. Every single time I have played him so far I have won. And I think, in my experience Halazzi is flying under the radar as a pretty good card right now.
I have played against one or two healadins and lost both, the deck looks fun to play, but I don't know how effective it really is. Just kind of countered my decks pretty hard.
I haven't tried too much else out so far though. I want to craft stuff, but at the same time I don't, because I don't want to waste dust. But I also want to have fun. . . I've only crafted Zul'jin thus far, and I do not regret that.
So far I've only played two decks, a Gonk druid (which is my signature, shameless plug >_>) and a control paladin running Shirvallah and Holy Wrath as a finisher. Both decks felt really good, but it might just be that people are running trashy decks and I've been able to capitalize on it.
Aside from that, I feel like any midrange paladin decks can easily shove in the Bellringer Sentry package (2 bellringers, 2 autodefense matrix, 2 hidden wisdom and 1 noble sacrifice, or atleast that is what I've been using) to some extent. These secrets still just have a ton of surprise factor and assuming you don't draw into them, Bellringer Sentry is insanely strong and it wouldn't surprise me if they were to pop up a bit more.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Odd Dragon Warrior - just like Odd Warrior but now with fewer bad cards. Big Spell Mage - Ragnaros is an effective finisher. Malacrass is so much gas. Blast Wave doesn't seem good.
No idea. All I've been queueing into on ladder is Boomsday even shaman and odd paladin. Those decks are still very good at killing you quickly and are pretty unforgiving to experimenting with new cards.
Maybe this expansion will be good in a few days when the netdecks become more available and people start trying new stuff.
So... so far I'm loving it playing with the Whizbang decks. I had a shitty pull from 80 packs so stuck to my original plan of playing arena and Whiz the first month until the arena settles.
First impressions:
Hunter with Zul'jin is amazing. I mean truly overpowered. And the other Midrange build is effective as hell, reminds me a lot of Odd pally, in the sense that you can get an insanely buffed token board and a huge hyena very quickly. Really good. 9/10
Druid was meant to be crap? It's effective, the Gonk effect with the cheap attack buffs are better than Sul'thraze, and it's basically a slower, stronger version of token Druid. I can't see how Druid isn't still going to be relevant. 8/10
Odd mage isn't all that. It's fun to play, but doesn't have legs in its current state, Someone will crack it and make something better, but it's by far the most overhyped one I've played. 5/10
The less said about Shaman, the better. Clunky as fuck. 2/10
Priest is alright, still hasn't regained any form of ladder viability from what I've seen. 5/10
Literally 0 games with Rogue, so no comment. N/A
Pally is good, but too slow to be effective. I played against one who pulled 4 Shirvallahs against me as Zul'jin, + the 25 Holy Wrath combo, and still didn't beat me. It's not the archetype that will be around in a month. 5/10
Warlock is fun, intuitive, and will be refined to be a nightmare. Outside the Whizbang decks, I played a well-built discolock and got annihilated. 8/10
Dragon Warrior is super fun, but again, I feel it was too slow off the mark to be effective. 4/10
Can't wait to see what the talented deckbuilders brew up, this set feels super fresh, and I'm loving it.
Not at a competitive rank but pleased that new pirates introduced won't be producing anything as crazy as pirate warrior but still help support the tribe.
Spirit of the Bat is a lot less awful than it appears. Hi'reek is not...Unfortunately I haven'T found a deck where he is anything more than a surprise meme, but I'm still looking
Quest Hunter...is actually able to win games now. There are so many tools and I'm struggling to figure out what works best. By no means a real meta deck but still better than the shitshow we had before.
Control Paladin looks pretty neat actually, but I still need to figure out an optimal spread of 1-attack minions for Crystology.
Also, Spirit of the Dragonhawk is RIDICULOUS with Frostlich Jaina. I just beat a warrior with 6 water elementals on the board...i used my Hero power twice.
My healadin has gone 6 - 1 so far. It just hard counters aggro unless they get a god draw. Even beat an odd mage and combo priest. 2 mana 6/6 and 4 mana 8/8's are easy to squeeze in after a board clear. can get some really strong tempo turns.

My first impressions is that flarks boomzooka + Oondasta + Revenge of the wild = some good fun

Big druid seems very broken haha

I've have done some extremely ridiculous things with Zul'jin already. I expect him to be a pretty controversial card, certainly until the rotation.
i love odd dragon warrior

I wasn't planning on going for a run today. But those cops came out of nowhere.
I'm having fun :)

Odd Mage seems consistently strong, and I am 11-2 with Paladin atm :)

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
oh yeah, also Zul'jin is lit.

Hah, I still can't even on because of failed update messages. Lol

Pirate Paladin with 2x2 1 mana weapons is quite fun but obviously weak. 2-3 on rank 10...
This is my first reaction.
I decided to craft disco lock because it's always been my favourite concept in game and got a little too excited
unsurprisingly can't make it work no matter what im trying, not sure what i expected really
just waiting for a cool bwonsamdi deck now
