When I first started I had a difficult time finding the “concede” option and didn’t know it was there. Further, with the ability to play from our phones, who’s to say your opponent didn’t get an important call that precluded his ability to concede. I don’t think it’s worth caring about. It’s only a game.
This reminds of those types of threads where somebody gets frustrated for their opponent concedes before they are killed. Maybe for a few people it could be annoying, but really just why?
Serious players grind ladder on their PC, I do quest/brawls/friendly matches on my phone, not grinding.
Your'e not really playing the children's card game unless its on an epic pro gamer pc to get that sweet sweet 60 FPS in a game where it doesn't matter.
Hey! I need good FPS to hit the enemy face with a spell, instead of hitting my own minion while its attack animation plays!
HS is a very skillshot reliant game.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
Yep, I'm afraid I'll use it as a measure of payback for something really over the top, like being a jerk with emotes or playing a perfectly tuned netdeck at rank 25 (my other account).
It warms my heart thinking that some of the jerkoffs I quit on get as pissy as the OP.
If you play a Tier 1 deck in casual and I'm getting kind of bored or maybe I just have something better to do right then, I'll leave your ass to play with the rope for a bit. (I bet you're used to playing with "the rope", aren't you?)
I don't do this on ladder or if you're playing an interesting deck.
73.5% of people that voted tend to leave matches they are losing.... 🤔🤔🤔
No. What 80.6% of people who voted (currently) are saying is that this is not an issue that bothers them because you were going to win, you do still win, even if it takes a little longer because your opponent rage quits.
The only times I've left a game instead of clicking Concede is actually when I click Quit on accident. If I'm moving fast I have accidentally clicked the wrong one and exit the game/leave the match without conceding. So while most people that do it are truly being annoying, there are likely some people like me who occasionally leave on accident.
And don't forget players who actually just DC and can't get back in quickly for one reason or another. So adding a penalty for a situation that is not always in a player's control would be ridiculous. That is what most people are voting for.

You’re like Batman but instead of being a cool guy fighting crimes outside of the law you are lame and sit behind your PC with your own set of rules for what is good behavior and what isn’t.
I also recommend having the rope do 1damage a sec. Damaged applied after turn is passed :P
That would actually be an amazing idea :) - finally people would be forced to play faster - Lifecoach would consistently kill himself in every tournament xD
It’s like people conceding before I can kill them. Or worse those who still play cards on their turn knowing they already lose. Or those who dare to kill me before I can kill them. And I don’t speak about those who dare to be second and take MY coin.
I get that sometimes there are DC issues, and those should be the exceptions, not the rule. I could take a hit on my rank points once in a while if I DC and get more than one star removed for it because it happens so infrequently that it wouldn't be a big deal.
Pfft! It's bad enough having disconnection issues when you know you are likely to win. To then get penalised for it even further would be enough to make even the sanest player quit playing the game.
This is quite the barmy thread to be fair! Haha! Has to be a troll - if it's serious then.... well,... I think we can all tell what that would imply.... :-D
Uh, I play on tablet and when I know I'm not gonna play anymore I just close the app. I could indeed concede but, mmmmm, I don't know, I guess I'm too lazy for that.
It's not out of spite or anything. Just easier I guess. Now if it makes the person salty even better :p
I read almost all of this thread trying to find a reasonable justification for punishment of ragequit or roping. But then it hit me. I had the vision and understood why the OP didn't write anything more than the original post. He was playing his favorite card game in the best time of the day! Poopy time! He was almost ready to get his satisfying win and let loose of the final and biggest "child" of his when the opponent just left. "What a disappointment" he thought, "I have to protest about this on hearthpwn.com!". So he did, but then he finished his job and went back to his life not caring about his ingenious post's fate.
Other than that, it's incredible how someone can just puke words out of their mouth without considering that this game has a billion other bugs and problems that would be affected by those bright ideas, and a semi decent "pro thing" going on with thousands of dolans in promotions, sponsorships and winnings.

Even better, don't close your hearthstone client, just minimize it. Eventually it will log you off. The "winner" can keep on playing the rope. /evil

That's not true at all. I prefer the experience on phone/tablet so I choose to play all my games that way instead of use my PC.

Tldr. Need to know what a 'ding' is suposed to mean.
Dank Yew!
I enjoy.

I'd be okay with this on the one condition that every time you repeat an emote, you take fatigue damage.
But why punish someone for a dropped connection? Is it not enough that they lose the game?
I've never been bothered by having to wait ONE TURN. People who stall the game are a different beast, though.
Fully agree with OP.

phone users probably tend to leave the app when they lose it's a common practice in most apps.
everything annoys everyone nowadays huh...
You do know the internet isn't perfect, and people lose connections, and would probably quit the game if they lost 2 stars because of it.

It's just an extra few seconds to get your victory, i can't see a problem with it, much less so something that requires an extra punishment.
Ropers are much worse than that. Luckily it's quite rare.
