If blizz added classic mode with ranked to hearthstone in wich u could only pick classic cards that were available before naxx would you play it? It would be a nice #tb for us older players
As for the mode, I think it would be interesting to have a mode that was like tavern brawl, but instead of swapping game modes, it swaps seasons. For example maybe like a Naxx pre-nerf season or LoE season. If it would just be classic, I don't think there would be enough of a continuous draw to it as standard and wild currently have.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
If you check online there are groups that dedicate to setting up tournaments using only Classic cards. I know for awhile Hotform hosted those tournaments on his channel, and there was a good deal of popularity behind it.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
I want a mode that changes monthly, and only allows use of a small amount of card sets from both standard and wild. With the allowed sets changing each month, and maybe not always including the Basic/Classic cards.
But I also want all Classic cards to go to Wild, and replaced with a "Core Set" which would include a variety of cards from Wild that are available for Standard play. So basically no set is forever in Standard, but any card can be brought into Standard via the Core set when they feel it's right for the current meta game. Also, with this change they should replace "Classic Packs" in the in game store, and through in game rewards with "Core Packs". The Core cards could be rotated once a year, with potential tweaks for a specific expansion release if needed.
I would play it for sure, oldschool plays so different compared to what the game is now. It would be pretty refreshing.
But as someone mentioned, there are ppl dedicated to setting up classic mode tourneys. I don't think blizzard would want to split the players even further.

Your classic cards going to wild is way too much work for blizzard and would destroy standard as we know it. I like the idea of having a separate ladder that includes a small amount of wild and standard sets that changes every month. That would keep the game fresh

Zoo, midrange shaman, handlock and miracle rogue everywhere xD
Classic HS play like chess, count every threat, evey removal every boardclear. Thats what made HS reach its peak.
Games today all about who draw their wincondition first or who rush other guy dead before he draws his wincon. Lolz
I'd try it, but not because I miss the past. In fact, I could do another 5 years without that old meta.
But it won't be that won't it? Midrange Hunter was mutilated with nerfs, Miracle Rogue can exist but will have a harder time, Combo Druid is dead.
I'd take a brawl about it. It would be interesting to see what decks pick up with the combination of those nerfs and our better knowledge of the game.
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
