Since Turkish Lira is strongly devalued against USD especially since August and sadly Blizzard reflected that to their prices, It has become very hard to buy any USD based stuff in Turkey :(
I have bought $50 Standart bundle of Boomsday Project pre-puchase in 1st of August for ₺190 and then USD/TRY rate was 4.91 (if converted from $50 pack should have costed $50x4.91=₺245). Today Blizzard wants ₺250 for a 50$ pack and USD/TRY rate is now 5.35 (if converted, $50x5.35=₺267.5). Blizzard conversion ratio change between expansions is 5.35/4.91 = 1.09; 250/190 = 1.32. As you can see both USD/TRY ratio and Blizzard conversion ratio is increased since last expansion and now new expansion costs 250/190=1.32 higher which is +33% more!
Another thing is USD/TRY saw a mind-blowing ratio of 7.08 on 13th of August. This means that in the coming expansions we can see that ratio and beyond!
With the light of the information I have given, I am really struggling what to do for this expansion and the next ones :(
I have been buying pre-purchase packs for last 6 expansions. Also bought dozens of packs in the past, but now i am very sorry that i cannot afford buying Rastakhan's rumble expansion's pre-purchase packs.
After the devaluation of our Turkish money, minimum monthly labor wage in the country dropped below $300/month and most people are earning around $300-$500/month here. So spending $50 for a game expansion is extreme :(
My fear is that, if I am not able to buy any packs in the future, after a couple of expansions I won't keep up with the meta and i know this will make me bored of the game. I invested a lot (according to me) in this game and i feel like if i stop investing and eventually quit playing the game, my previous investments had been done for nothing.
I know there are some fellow Hearthstone Turkish players out there which might be in the same situation as me. I want to hear your suggestions and discussions about this topic. Also, I dream of Blizzard reducing the ratio and making the new expansion available for us again :D
Yeah that sucks. Global economy and politics quite often affect the 'little guy' and this is one of those examples.
There is nothing you can do except decide for yourself if you wish to buy it or not. You know what you are paying and what you are getting so the decision is 100 % up to you.
What I did was preorder once, and then save 7-8k gold from launch to launch of each expansion. And i have 5k dust spare. Always do the brawl and never let 3 quest accumulate. Do the 80 golds here to get 160, always roll the 50 quest. With this you will be able to play 3 to 4 classes very good. Stop complaining it won't get you anything, save gold for 4 months or pay. Amzon coins sometimes are cheaper. Just plan ahead. I play like 4 or 5 matches each day just to do quest, and I barely rank As I like to play strange decks.
If I were a Turk I'd have an account in dollars/ Euros. MANY problems, solved. Trust me, I'm an italian that lived at the time when italian Lira was worthless.
Just read an article today, that inflation in Turkey is 25% this year, so everything there went up by a quarter.... that's a lot!!! I hope you can buy packs for gold and the turkish economy will get stronger.
i don't think you should bother about buying every pre-purchase
i buy pre-purchases only once a year, and i still keep with the meta, also i can play pretty much everything i want
even thou i missed the last expansion pre-purchased because i didnt want to buy (which was way better deal than rastakhan one) im going to buy this time
just enjoy the game and do your dailies, also, putting some effort into it every expansion you will be able to open around 100 packs with gold only , which is more than enough in my opinion
So you are telling me I can save 10 bucks by just buying packs in Korean currency? In which case I could have already saved a ton of cash if I weren't buying in bloody euros all the time. What the fuck is even this shit? How can that be possible, doesn't your specific bank just convert it to their own currency?
PS: Sorry for my language, but this is honestly just such a bloody rip-off.

Why are you guys trying to work around it and giving advises? It's not the point, we already know...
What op trying to say is it's fukin expensive. Period..
50 packs 250tl. Least wage is 1600tl
the TRY/USD (actually TRY/everything) exchange rate has significantly changed. You should blame Erdogan, not Blizzard. Maybe give another coup a try?
Nope you can set the region

how do I buy in turkish or other currencies?
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
Time to retake Constantinople I guess.
