don't spend a dime dude, like people said wait for a promo, next expansion you can get maybe 50packs with a hero or something and this is coming from someone who dropped more than 1200$ on this stupid game already
Like most people said, it is usually best to buy special bundles. Right now there is the new welcome bundle (with free legendary dragon) for $5, a value of $0.50 per pack, better than anything else you can spend money on in HS.
If you have that already, the next best thing is going to be the next pre-order bundle, which is probably coming in at $50 for 50 packs, but still cheaper than all the regular bundles (which range from 1.17 per pack to 1.50 per pack). Likewise, the current Hallow bundle comes in at $1 per pack, and your collection suggests that you might need some of those cards, at least I didn't see Genn or Baku in there.
But if I were you I would keep it with Spiritsinger Umbra, the greatest virtue is patience, so I'd probably wait until the next expansion.
Also, there is the Amazon coin option to consider, which might give you up to 20% extra value on your purchase.

Thank you for this answer it is very helpful! I will pre-order the next expansion for the $50. Looks like the best value and then just wait for any specials to show up.
At this point I would follow other peoples’ suggestions of waiting until the new set preorder. Third set of the year is usually the strongest set.
If you want something now, the Annoy-O bundle isn’t aterrible deal. I personally didn’t get that bundle, but I also have pretty much everything I want from WW, except Azalina. Which I can just craft if I ever really want her.
I second buying promotional bundles only. They usually do two per expansion, one pre-purchase and one random thing in between. They should total to well over $50 so you shouldn't be wasting money on regular pack purchases unless you plan on spending more than that
By the way, you can also save by changing your google pay account to a country where stuff is cheaper like Brazil. I don't know if it's a better deal than Amazon coins but the paladin skin bundle was 13.25 USD with this method
As for whether to spend money at all, it should only depend on if you like the game enough for that. The people tell you not to clearly don't but that doesn't have anything to do with you. Arena is a way to get tons of gold and packs, but a lot of people find it boring or aren't good enough at the mode to make gains. If that's something you're into, then good on you. Otherwise, don't do things you don't enjoy
I've got to be around 1k over the past 4 years or so. To me that isn't too bad considering that money has been spread out over that time and i've gotten countless hours of entertainment. Lots of salt here from people unfortunately, and those people really shouldn't be giving newer players buying advice.
Arena is slow for your collection, and if youre looking for competitive play, you've got to go with bundles like already stated above. Spending money is always worth it imo as you waste zero time getting the essentials you need. You don't need to spend much to get those essentials for any one deck which is whats great with HS.
One thing to note is that its a mistake dusting 1/2 your collection for 1-2 decks. Meta does change, despite popular belief and it will eventually burn you so never do that no matter how tempting.
1. Welcome bundle - 10 packs for #5 2. Twitch promotion. If you have not ever bougth bit, you get 1000 for $10 and 1500 for $19.95 ($29.95 total) - you receive 14 classic packs, 6 Witchwood, 4 Boomsday, 2 Kobolds, 2 Frozen Knights, 2 Ungoro packs, one golden classic pack and a card back (30 + 1 packs in total) 3. The Halloween pack - $20 for 20 packs and a hero 4. Preorder of next expansion
My advice is to not spend any money on this game, it's really not worth it. Do not make the same mistake as me. :(
Please ignore the Magic: Arena shill. LOL.
As he mentioned, this is his advice. I've been playing HS for 4 years and still thoroughly enjoy it. I would give it some time considering you just started. A bunch of people are jumping on the Magic and/or Artifact "bandwagon". In their opinion, these games will replace HS, just like Shadowverse and Gwent and The Elder Scrolls and...
FYI: The next expansion for HS will be released in December (and should be announced in a week or two). Magic: Arena's next expansion is scheduled to be released in January. Artifact will be become available for the public at the end of November.

Aaah there it is. And here ladies and gentlemen you see a fanboy in his natural habitat. As you can see for a fanboy, it's irresistable to not to personally insult someone who criticize his favourite game/company etc...
I am always wondering why you guys have to (not so) indirectly insult someone who disagrees with you. If his/her opinions are so terrible then it would be easy to contructivly refute them instead of resulting to insults and slurs.
Anyway op, before deciding be sure that you like the game (play at least 2 months before spending). If you do then spend your money as you see fit as in the end, no matter what anyone says, it's your choice.
Don't forget that the HD remake of FF7 and all new Kingdom Hearts 3 will be coming out in less than 3 months. Both will be a vastly better value than Hearthstone (if you have a PS4, I guess)

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
As a person who spent a decent amount of money on this game (about $100 per expansion, plus the money spent for all of the past adventures), I'd suggest you to wait until the final reveal of the cards to pre-purchase the new expansion. If, for example, the expansion doesn't feel good enough for you, you avoid spending money on worthless cards.
Personally, I wasn't so excited for the Boom's Day Project expansion after the final reveal, so I ended up in spending only gold (about 8k) and crafting the cards that I really wanted to try out (Dr. Boom, Mecha'thun combo pieces, and other small things like the shuffling elekk). I'm happy with my choice this time and I will probably do the same in the future :)
(By the way, not a pro player here so don't get my words as the universal truth!)
Honestly I wouldn't spend the money if I were you for the reasons listed below:
1) all your decks will be outdated as soon as the next expansion hits. You would get stuck in endless circle full of regrets where you would pay for 3 months of fun or get incredibly outmatched by better decks
2) cards rotate out and at that point you will have a feeling of wasting your money
3) you can buy a full AAA games for that money - seriously, you can buy Witcher 3, Doom and have 10 bucks left instead of going for the rng fiesta here
4) It sounds like a lot of packs but the most likely result is 3-4 legendaries which are most likely going to be for classes you won't even play
5) The game seems to get worse with every expansion - the netdecking is faster (hence the period when I enjoy the game is much shorter) and the new cards seems to be several levels above the old ones every time. Because of that whatever you would get would probably not see much play in a month.
Man so much salt from ppl in this forum! Seems like 50/50 every time I post.
MyGuy that's all this forum is. If you want to spend money, honestly I'd say wait for the expansion pre-order. It's usually $50 for 50 packs + something extra (maybe a skin or some extra packs). I would warn about spending money on regular packs, it's not worth the money you're putting down. Only ever spend money on this game if it's a bundle (like the Hallow! Hallow! bundle) or the pre-order, everything ells is a waste of money.

Thanks for the response! My twitch account is linked but I can't see anywhere to purchase the promo?

Looks like good advice. I will also suggest you disenchant the extra Mana Wyrms, you have 4. They were just nerfed and you will get full crafting value for them.

Buyer's remorse does that to people. Some guys here have spend hundrends or even thousands of dollars.

Spending money is not worth it in hearthstone. Being an arena player and farming there seems like a better idea if you have time.

50 bucks will get you 90% cards you allready have,a few epics that might be slightly usefull and maybe 2 new legendaries, of which one probably sucks.
Better wait for the next pre order.

Exactly that.
Dude, srsly, check the history and the state of this game, the meta-flaws (each year), the powercreep, the behavior on nerfs...
I've spent less than 40$ on this game and I regret it... every time I see a new expansion-bait... or bundle or what else
Compare it to your goals with this game...
And, if they shut down the servers your whole collection is gone...

Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
