If they bring a new hero card, it could be for Paladin. Others saw enough play, and the ones that didn't got their replacements anyway. Paladin DK saw some play in control paladin (never high tier), and wacky OTK. Card seems fun to play around with a good weapon and a nice hero power, but it just didn't work.
I wonder if they bring new weapons or quests too, like hero cards. they will rotate out too, and some of them are influential as well. I certainly hope no new quests, but some weapons can be nice. Maybe for classes whose weapons suck, like priest and shaman, and maybe warrior.
Also, and please don't take this as a salty response, as long as JtU, KFT and K&C are in standard, I don't expect much in terms of changing the meta. Which is a good think if you think about it.
I hope they make an old gods or Gadgetzan style expansion. I hope they either make it so that some new decks surrounding one legendary comes out or that they add cards that are available for multiple classes.
Vol'dun was once the jewel of the troll empire, and is currently inhabited by Zandalari troll vagabonds (troll's a common guess based on tribal/face artwork)
Redrock harbor contains pirates and a Naga (other common guesses)
Tfw people actually want a murloc-based expansion.
Jesus, we had Un'Goro, right after Gadgetzan, and even KoFT brought some more into the mix. Let the buggers rotate out for a while. Murlocs offer about as much gameplay variety as the hunter hero power (Anyfin is the only exception). It will be a huge mistake if you make a whole expansion based on them. Even 33% is already too much.
I am begging, begging! For anything that is not devolved amphibians. Trolls would be much appreciated.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
Well not excited by the announcement of the name... until they strengthen the power level of other classes as of druid in the upcoming expansion.
TBH not many Boomsday Project cards are being played.... So based on the last experience, I can assume the next expansion will have a similar impact on the meta.

Basic has 4 murloc Classic has 3 murloc Un'Goro has 4 murlocs + 1 murloc support card + murloc generating totem+murloc quest KFT has 2 murlocs + 1 murloc support card. Witchwood has 1 murloc.
This means that current standard has 14 murloc cards and 4 murloc related cards. This is a very low count comparing to anything but pirates. They are even less present with 9 total.
Expansion that focuses on murlocs and pirates is logical in situation like this.

Quality > Quantity, my friend. There are countless beasts in every expansion and despite that, they've never been oppressive. Meanwhile, you give murlocs the slightest thing that is close to focused support, and you end up with another Gadgetzan-tier fiasco on your hands.
Let's not forget that mechs were also extinct in standard ever since 2016 and nobody batted an eye, mainly because everyone remembered what having them around meant. Murlocs don't go extinct mainly because their core set is permanently in classic.
I'd also point out that this is the third expansion, usually the one Blizzard gives less of a damn about balance-wise because it rotates out sooner. Words cannot stress how badly these third expansions have ruined tribes like pirates and dragons (and murlocs, but those have always been the same).
Lastly, and this is not even an argument, just an after-thought, I wonder how anyone could even make an expansion based on murlocs. The more interesting murlocs are the ones whose effects have nothing to do with their tribe (Sir Finley Mrrgglton and Coldlight Oracle). Their identity is too aggro-focused to actually make them usable primarily in an expansion.

IWell, I was among guys who was disappointed by mech tribe being nothing in standard.
Also, I am quite unhappy that beast tag is meaningless outside of hunter. Even druids have only one beast related card in standard. I badly want at least few neutral beast synergy cards. (obliviously they should be worse than what hunter has)
Demons are in a similar spot but them being concentrated in one class is kinda thematic and there are far too few neutral demons around
As for your fear for a new good aggressive deck... Look at three last printed murlocs BrrrlocGhost Light AnglerDeadscale Knight. That isn't aggressive minions. Blizzard share you fear. Even if we'll get an expansion with a decent amount of murlocs then we'll get at most 1 or 2 good murloc that will go into aggressive decks.
On the other hand, Kobolds & Catacombs had nothing to do with mammoths, so my whole theory might be rubbish. Whatever it is I hope Priest gets some love and Druid gets nothing useful.
This is a bad mentality. I want druid to get good and interesting cards that don't fit into existing meta archretypes.
There are nothing fun in KFT shaman cards-like situation
Tbh, if anything I think this is gonna be themed around the Razorfen Downs, or just about the Quilboar in general.
If you look closely into the well thingy, you can see many vines, which seems like they're Prickly. Also, the teeth marks are identical to the ones of the Quilboar, when you look at them from below.

Probably it's "The Moonwell": https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/9r8amk/i_think_i_just_found_the_theme_of_the_next/
OK, I've never played WOW, but this theory took about 5 minutes on google.
Red Rock Harbor (teaser picture looks like red rocks surrounding blue water (a harbor))
https://wow.gamepedia.com/Redrock_Harbor
is located on the southwest edge of Vol'dun (opening in red rocks in teaser picture is to to the southwest in a map sense)
https://wow.gamepedia.com/Vol'dun

Redrock harbor contains pirates and a Naga (other common guesses)
What do you think?
next exp might have a dragon theme like this one had with Mechs.
Why? well simply cause the new welcome bundle offers a free neutral classic dragon.

Red rocks surrounding blue water, opening to the southwest, pirate ship...

I'm just hoping Druid sees some support, like a board clear, and perhaps some more healing for Shaman.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

They made goblins vs gnomes 2.0 so if you see something don't be surprised.
