Another issue is games feeling the same. You can have variety, and I'll concede that 'variety' has to mean that at most you get two archetypes in a class, but what I don't like feeling is when a matchup comes down to running a pre-programmed game plan. "I'm Druid vs Warrior? Ok I know exactly what my next 10 turns should look like." "I'm Hunter vs Priest, if i draw Rexxar I win." "I'm Odd Rogue vs Heal Zoo, I just play the same crap on curve and turn board control into my advantage." I like when games feel different, instead of posing the same question over and over. I think that's why I (and a lot of players) enjoy playing steal classes like Rogue and Priest so much. The questions presented might be the same or very similar, but the way they're answered is often very different. It's fresh, it's different, it's a different challenge, even if the opponent is the same. I don't like, "Oh I'm Priest vs Healzoo, the formula for winning is XYZ, if I don't do that I lose."

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I think the only thing we can agree on is that no META will ever satisfy every player.
I for example am in the extreme minority that actually enjoys playing in a meta dominated by an OP deck.
And some people just like to play rock paper scissors.
So maybe the only reasonable solution is to rotate the META state from time to time.
Right now we are an extremely diverse and polarized meta. How about next meta we get some good mid range decks with good match ups across the board, even if that means we would end up with a little less diversity ? Then switch back and so on...
Thanks OP for sharing this article. It really summarizes why HS sucks right now. I've found myself for the first time since playing this game 4 years ago not wanting to play. Barely finishing dailies and have even fallen to rank 12 mostly because of not even playing!
