To be fair I hadn't noticed where they were from but it wouldn't have made any difference as I'm not in the habit of assuming everyone from a particular country is the same. I have met plenty of Ukrainians who have very different views from the poster, so their response to me suggesting that where they're from is any excuse is just pish.
Enlighten me, in what way does me being offended and calling out someone for being openly sexist show that I have some "deep emotional shit" going on and what exactly do you think I need to sort out? If you think that just blindly accepting people being racist/homophobic/sexist demonstrates some kind of emotional issue because well they're only words then you're a pretty shit human being / Trump supporter
DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER HAHA. First of all I'm not american so I can't say anything about trump as I don't know him nor do I care to look up what he's doing to your country, nobody cares what my government is doing to ours so I feel less inclined to give a rats ass about others. Secondly since you blindly assumed I was a trump supporter in a negative way I assume your a donkey and well, I don't think I need to list out all the things that the donkeys are currently up to in order to paint you in any negative light as well.
btw we ALL have emotional issues, you think a bad word or phrases is justification enough to berate people online (pretty ironic I know) and well my issues can only be explained to a professional. You also say that where he's from makes no difference on your view of him or what he said, did you stop to think about what culture he's from? As somebody ells has stated, gender rolls are pretty different in eastern Europe, hell even in my shithole country their still prevalent. The "I've met some that were good, so now their all good" is just wow, pretty backwoods if you ask me, I've met quite a lot of Americans and Brits would it be fair if I were to assume all of them were asshats and self imposed moral gods?
I also like the fact that again you're doing exactly whats in your signature again, pretty great, I'm having the time of my life. What I find really disturbing is the fact that you think I'm saying we shouldn't do anything about people with backwoods views, when you didn't even try to I don't know explain how his statement might make somebody feel self conscious or loose self worth? Maybe try that next time. Instead of calling people names and assuming some shit like their political views because some rando asshat on the internet told you to grow a pair.
The takeaway from my post is this for you. Nicely summed up. STOP assuming people are racist/ sexist/ homophobic because they said a no no word. STOP assuming people who have an opinion or view that you don't agree with as a Trump supporter (pretty tame tbh). STOP assuming that because you met a few that were good that all of them are, you'd be surprised how many cultures and people are rotten in the core. STOP ASSUMING, IT MAKES AN "ASS" OUT OF "U" AND "ME". Talk to people try and let them see your side, don't just slam on the "EVIL FUCKER ALERT, WE NEED TO ANNIHILATE" pedal.
Sorry OP, I think this thread took a turn to the abysmal political hell as always when politics or no no words are involved. I'll leave the thread and let the actual discussion take place. I also really hope that Sir Annoy-O will have little robots for his hero power, gonna be the lit'est shit ever.
This kind of whining makes me think about stupid movie reviews, where a reviewer is shocked that a Transformers movie isn't as deep as Almodovar's films. Or metalheads complaining that a Chris Brown concert didn't sound like Iron Maiden. Neither Brown meant to throw a metal act, nor Michael Bay attempted to do anything else than an action flick. So why get angry?
If you don't dig something, because it wasn't tailored to suit your particular interests, then like, you know, maybe find something else?
So basically criticism is not allowed for anything? If you watch a film and it sucks, you cannot say anything, because it was your fault for chosing a film that was not meant for you? Ok...
The way you missed the missed the point made me reread my post (English is not my mother language), but it was ok. I'm not saying you can't criticize a film for being bad - don't criticize it because you chose a sitcom, but expected a thriller, lol. That was my point.
As for HS - if you want a game that's different than a CCG, then perhaps you should play something else. All CCGs are roughly the same and saying that their signature features is like saying Civilization is bad, because you wanted to play an RTS.
How is a Hearthstone pack different from a loot box? You can buy it for real money and it contains random in-game items of highly varying value. I think those are the essential characteristics of a loot box.
It's been years since I played MtG, but back in the day, while packs were extremely expensive, you would at least get the same number of commons, uncommons and rares from each booster. In Hearthstone, a pack can contain anything from multiple legendaries to 40 dust. Even the worst legendary will give you enough dust to craft an epic of your choice, so getting a legendary is always at least as good as getting any card of a lower rarity level.
Again, are real life card packs considered loot boxes? No. They're not. Hearthstone card packs aren't considered 'loot boxes' because you're guaranteed at least 1 rare in each pack, and at least 1 legendary in about 40 packs. And now, even more so, you don't get repeat legendary cards. So not necessarily 'random'. Loot boxes do not guarantee your odds. You can get trash and not get any item of the highest tier level in that loot box while spending 100$+ dollars, or in some people's cases, 500$+. I've been on the receiving end of loot boxes. Hearthstone packs, just like actual card game packs like Yugioh Or MtG, are not, nor will they ever be, 'loot boxes'.
A rare costs 100 dust to craft, while a legendary costs 1600 dust to craft. Also, because you'll open rares much more often, after a while you're likely to receive duplicates and disenchant value of a rare is only 20 dust. So effectively a legendary is 16 to 80 times more valuable than a rare. This big difference in value means that opening a pack has a significant luck factor.
The fact that a card pack has a minimal value (1 rare + 4 commons, aka 40 dust) is irrelevant. I've never seen a loot box that can give you literally nothing: they give you something that is worth very little most of the time and something really valuable occasionally.
Note that Blizzard doesn't guarantee there is one legendary in 40 packs. The pity timer was discovered by people in the community doing statistics on large amounts of pack openings and while Blizzard have more or less admitted it exists, as far as I know they have never documented it or made any promises about it. They do state that on average, you'll get one legendary per 20 packs and one epic per 5 packs.
But even if the exact drop rates of all rarity levels were shown in the client for each pack that you buy, that doesn't change the fact that each individual pack has a huge variance in value. It's that variance that makes it a loot box, not whether the odds are known. If you play roulette in a casino, you know exactly what the odds are, but it's still gambling.
While I agree that there are worse loot box economies than Hearthstone, that doesn't change the fact that Hearthstone packs are still loot boxes, because of how they work.
You can't be a F2P player and get pissed that you don't have what others pay for. I can't stand those post where people say, "I'm F2P and I made Legend with no problem", then those same people start crying when they don't have things that others pay for. Pick a side, or figure out what ya wanna spend money on!
Ya wanna be F2P, good for you. Ya want extra stuff, STFU and pay for it!!

I THINK FOR MYSELF, THEREFORE.... I'M AN ATHEIST !!!
I agree with the author but holy shit, as others have mentioned, you can literally make your post much more readable by putting your mouse cursor after any period in the middle and tapping Enter key twice. Even a paragraph that ends in the wrong place is better than a wall of text.
And to those claiming that that's the typical format of a book, it's not. Books still break down ideas into paragraphs, most of the time your paragraph has no reason to be longer than 5 sentences, you learn that in 6th grade English class.
Back on topic, people will always complain, don't take it seriously. The fact that there are hundreds of people on these forums complaining daily is itself an indicator of the game's popularity. Moreover, half of the audience for the game is kids who just reached puberty, they need something to whine about. Just look at the content of the forums, one thread whines about too much RNG, the next thread whines about meta being too stale (not enough RNG).

1. I totally agree with OP.
2. I think Blizzard should make all past skins $10 in the store. Even the ones that were free but difficult due to locations.
3. I want more cosmetics that are free (Let it be shown that you have played 1.000.000 Murlocs) and more cosmetics that are $$$.
4. I want a rotating core set to replace Classic.
= GG

I've no clue what I'm doing...
