I just lost a game because I magnetised a Zilliax onto an annoy-o-tron and the opponent's mossy horror somehow took off the divine shield as part of its battlecry. I can only assume the divine shield is somehow tied to the 1/2 annoy-o-tron and the 1/2 part of the mech "dying" somehow also killed the divine shield
Meanwhile, I'm still reading all over reddit about how people are getting screwed over when magnetised mechs returned to hand, replayed and remagnetised somehow gain the original magnetised stats/effects that were destroyed
Seriously, Blizzard? Magnetic is the mechanic this entire expansion is showcasing and built around. Why is it buggy and why hasn't someone done something about it yet? Zilliax, annoy-o-trons, mossy horrors and vanish aren't rare cards in this meta. These aren't fringe cases
Magnetic, psh. Cry me a river. You do realize you are playing a game that doesn't even have a dedicated tournament client yet despite Blizzard themselves actively pushing a pro scene, for years! Blizzard is lazy because they are allowed to be by players who would rather complain than walk away. End of discussion.
It was just too ambitious of a technical feat. What do you expect from developers who need a crutch like Unity? I imagine that spaghetti code is a polite way of describing the current code base for the game.

It's not just that - there is no viable competition. Blizzard has a total monopoly. What we need is legitimate competition, which drives Blizzard to do better, either from Artifact or from something else.
I do agree is sad thy still have released this supposed tournament mode of even mentioned it in the last 6 months. I’m guessing they won’t at all release it and just wanted to keep people playing like usual.

Are you serious? You think people are only playing HS because they are expecting a tournament mode? Seriously?

Magnetic being broken effects tournaments too. Like I said, all the cards involved are popular enough in meta decks. Sooner or later someone is going to lose a series to these bugs. I'm surprised this has not happened already. Maybe that would force Blizzard to get their shit together
They just didn't think it through... Do the magnetic minions turn into buff spells? Or are they double minions? Or are they inseparable from the first minion?
Logically, the minions should be split apart when silenced, and it would be a nice buff to the mechanic too. Transform effects is a different matter.
It should be fixed, I hope, but I haven't had any personal problems with this yet.
I am aware of the bugged interactions related to Magnetic returning to hand, but I've never see what you are referring to OP. You could have provided us with some screen or something. Not that I don't want to believe you, but the amount of times people post here about supposed bugged when they were simply oversights, like you trading into something, or the opponent doing so.
Yup, mossy could have killed something like Spawn of N'Zoth that triggered aoe and that took the divine shield off. I always try to give ppl who post stuff like this benefit of doubt, but without any evidence, its just their word we can go on, and no offense, but that aint much, since majority of these situations end up being ppl just overlooking something.
I will agree tho that Magnetic is broken when returning magnetized mechs in hand, that is a shame they didnt address that yet.
What I am writing is kinda OT, but I think that, despite the bug status of many interactions, Magnetic could turn oppressive if you buffed it so that the magnetized minions could split if countered by silence or others: it would be too versatile, and a magnetized minion would have much less of a drawback - that is, magnetizing would be the correct usage too easily and too mindlessly.
I mean, Mechs are balanced stat-wise and keyword-wise also according to their anti-Magnetic interactions. It is what keeps them in check. Otherwise, on the (very) long run, Mechs would become the best minions possible, simply because they have an extra keyword that is an option that gives them huge benefit, with minimal drawback if it fails.
Ofc consistency should come above all, with interactions, and if something appears as a bug in front of the expected behavior (according to the explanations given by Blizz), then it should definitely be fixed ASAP.
Its a such powerhouse and fucking annoying if you dont have a quick remove of it. It can snowboll so fucking hard by one damn turn.
How is a 3 mana 1/5 taunt a "powerhouse"?
Havent you played against it? It can be upgraded each turn with other mechs. it can be pretty insane fast
I have played with and against it and it's a fair card. It only punishes aggro when put on eggs and resurrecting them later. But it looses to control and combo most of the time, so there is no need for hate.
I've played around 300 matches with Mechs this expansion, and seen 0 unexpected interactions so far. I've overlooked things a couple of times, and screwed myself up by miscounting # of mechs and Kagor res stats by consequence, but everything I've seen so far makes absolute sense. Does anyone have screens or HSreplays of examples? Highly surprised by this topic.

I wasn't planning on going for a run today. But those cops came out of nowhere.
Wow... Ya'll been on the wrong side of the magnetic keyword, then. I have never had any of the issues posted above, and I personally enjoy it; it's an interesting mechanic that gets you to think, it makes for a different playstyle altogether (in the sense that you have to choose if you want to make a huge dude or a bunch of little dudes). I have encountered a whopping 0 unexpected interactions, and I've even run into the Annoy-o-Tron and Zilliax incident, but his Mossy worked as planned: it killed off my 1/2s, but kept the magnetised 4/3 mech alive. If you could show footage of this happening, or a screenshot or something, then we'd have a proper issue going on. Right now you're just salty about one clumsy interaction without any proof.

Is this another one of those “small, indie company” moments?

Bronze Gatekeeper is my number one hate mech.
