when i'm watching HCT i'm like "this must be a joke, right?" "PRO PLAYERS" spam odd rogue and zoo
This sentence is a pitty. I also can´t enjoy decks that don´t need much thinking. Both decktyps, aggro that just tries to get a T5-7 kill or loose and decks that basically try to draw their library to OTK with a single preset combo are absolutely booring. That has nothing to do with pro feeling...
Honestly, not anymore. Problem sets rotate out too slow. It's been years of Death Knights and Druids and just oppressive anti-fun garbage. I do my quests and play Artifact. That's it.
I love this game, and I love my girlfriend even more for introducing me to it (though she's long stopped playing now, boo).
This doesn't mean I don't get triggered, though. What mostly triggers me is when I'm playing Ranked and I get disconnected, or when an aggro opponent has such a good hand that he can kill me by turn 4, or losing against stupid, uninteractive combo decks. I don't mind losing games, especially the long, drawn-out ones. It's part of the fun.
Having less and less fun, I mostly do some dailies every now and then, try to play those 5 games each season to get a card back. Think I've missed several card backs because I couldn't be bothered to even log in, but oh well.
Though to be fair, it isn't just because of the state of the game, but also due to personal reasons.
If only Blizzard could make balance changes more often, then maybe things would be more enjoyable.
I only play casual wild mode and aggression level is same as ranked mode. Every opponent i faced trying to win on turn 5-6. I would not complain if i could see turn 8 but it is casual wild mode..
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If you are facing tier 1 netdecks in casual, it's your own fault your casual MMR is so high. Your casual opponent is always your equal in wins. Either you're playing netdecks in casual too or your meme decks are not as memey as you think. You can easily fix this by going into casual and conceding a bunch to dumpster your MMR
I almost never play casual mode and my MMR is low. I went in casual last week to test out some game mechanics and found it was full of players who are probably rank 20, throwing games left and right
Interesting observation, do you think your own rank may also have something to do with it? I rarely play casual on standard, for the same reason you mention, because I often face netdecks, but I don't really use netdecks in casual either (afaik). I find casual in Standard (where I'm rank 5) to be very challenging. On the other hand in wild, where I'm above rank 20, I find casual mode fun and that's where I play all my dexperiments, even the standard decks I tinker with I prefer to adjust in wild because it's not as polarized.
I find my enjoyment relative to what I'm doing. I don't have the time in life currently for the legend grind so tend to amuse myself in other ways. If I'm trying to ladder to a decent rank and fail, of course I'll get frustrated, to which I'm liable to say no, I don't.
My other recent trend is to take T1 decks into whatever mode takes my fancy and ruin them as much as I can. Cubing Millstorm Manahouse or LoreWalker Cho in Spell Hunter for instance, or trying to build a Charge Priest. Stuff like that. On occasion, I'll go full Randuin Wrynn.

MMR is a confirmed mechanic of the game, not just my observation. Also, I'm at rank 3 in wild and standard right now so it's not tied to ladder rank
Actually, I worded my post quite poorly. Only losing games lowers your MMR. Playing less games in casual doesn't lower your MMR, it should stay the same as the last time your played. The last time I played it extensively was when I was literally a f2p noob so I assume I was losing often (I do dailies on ladder)
Wild casual can be a different story though. Depending on what server you're on and when you play, there might be only 1 or 2 people queuing at the given length of time so your MMR is often irrelevant
I love playing this game. It's challenging to both my skill and my mental state (for when my opponents simply draw better of have better rng).
That being said, there's always room to be frustrated with things you enjoy. That's perfectly fine. What isn't fine is not finding a way to change the situation. Maybe you need to rework your decks or try a new approach altogether. I have cards in HS that I love, but almost never get to play because others simply rush me down or disrupt my combos. That's just part of the game.
try to adapt and try to keep having fun!

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Started enjoying the game again after switching to wild. Second season in wild, rank 8 currently. Have never seen a single pirat warrior. And dude Paladin is more popular than Baku Paladin here. I see many warlocks (Reno, zoo, control), but they are ok. Hate playing against mages (flamewakers drive me crazy) and control warriors. Overall wild looks much more healthier than standard.
I honestly do still have fun. Some of the games can be a bit frustrating (mainly when I feel like testing out Mecha'thun for fun and queue into a bunch of odd paladins and rogues in a row lol), but I feel like all games are winnable. There are still no games I play where I think "Well, here we go again". Some odd warrior matches go on a bit longer than I would like, but they still feel like good matches where either side could win.
I didn't read too many of the posts in here, so maybe my post is a bit more rational than it should be on such a topic lol, but whatever.

Feel lucky - being a control player main its often where you face a combo deck and feel like its a insta loose.
Class disparity is so big nowadays, and I am enjoying meme decks, with which I unexpectedly reached legend quite early this month.
Yes, having lots of fun! Tess Rogue, Control Mage, Togwaggle Druid, Mech Warrior, Shudderwock elemental Shaman are just some decks that can keep it fun and competitive at the same time. The moment I realized I want to have fun and not just play some cancerous aggro deck, I went up in ranking.

No, not really. Still doing the dailies and collecting cards for some perverted reason.
Yes, but I also main Warlock and I agree with Conan as to what is best in life.

If the answer is no, stop playing, you can find tons of games where you can have fun.

Lately, no i havent been having fun. Druids, druids everywhere with their stupid ass combos and retarded armor gain, and spreading plague bullshit.
I was expecting a yes/no poll.

Yes, I just had a great moment with HS. Priest played Hemet on turn 6 vs my control deck.
These joyous moments keep me coming back. Love you HS <3
