Hello guys, do you think it would be cool to have a kind of deranking ability, so you can start over climbing again? Like from legend to rank 20 or something like that? I am missing the old ladder system to be honest. I reach rank5 every season on the first day and everything from there feels like a grind already. In the old system the start of the season was so chill, no need to rush towards any goal, pick a deck you like and just play it before entering any tryhard mode. Now i have to play meta decks from day1, since you will get crushed otherwise and losing all the time is just not fun. What do you think?
But then you'll create hundreds of people posting about their casual experience being ruined!
Yeah, i don't like casual too much, since you either get ppl farming gold with meta decks or ppl with really shitty decks that just started playing. I feel like a douche when you go vs someone that just made a deck with the first legendary he opened and i come arround with some otk deck :/
Play wild for 3 months and let standard naturally derank, then repeat the other way and let wild derank.
Or just chill in casual.
Chill in casual? Are you mad man? You'll find more meta decks there then on ladder :p

I am currently in dumpster legend, playing quest druid. But i ve only faced one guy with some funny eureka shaman deck. On rank 14000 it was togwaggle druid, two zoolock, two deathrattle hunts... I am at the very end of legend and still this :(
The whole notion that you have to play competitive decks at the rank 5 floor is just absurd to me. For me the best thing to do in ranked and at a floor is trying to find a meme deck that still is able to function well against most of the current meta. Whenever I make a meme deck, I always try to make sure it's still viable to play (Unless it's a very rare situation) because I don't like playing in casual.
Basically what I'm getting at is just play whatever mess of a deck you want in ranked. Nobody cares if you play some jank and they win off of you but if you win, you get to enjoy salt occasionally.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Either you are facing a terrible player who has just been playing so long and almost always with that one class to grind out enough wins to get the hero portrait. Or someone who hasn't played in a while and has fallen to bottom rank. They could also be someone who plays a lot of Wild and now they are trying Standard, or vice versa if you're seeing it in Wild.
The last option is maybe it's not a golden hero portrait but just a special hero skin like Mecha-Jaraxxus. Golden or not the cosmetic alternate heroes all animate like golden hero portraits do. I've seen streamers be like "This guy's horrible! How does he have the golden warlock?" or whatever, and really they don't, it's just the alt skin animating.
If you could derank to 20, you could farm gold more efficiently, all the while making players who belong at low rank lose games when they could have been matched against someone else who belongs there.
Shudderwock means driving a clown car in circles around your opponent while he swings his sword at you. Half the time he chops you and your car to pieces. The other half you park on his legs and 40 clowns come out one by one, trampling him to death.
OP I feel you on that. I would rather derank and have the ability to win some games at lower ranks (with a variety of decks) than lose at rank 5. Everyone's like "oh it's cool don't worry just reach the rank floor, lose all day and you don't have to worry about ranking down!" It's kinda funny - some people care about losing rank and other people care about losing games. The viewpoints are inversed. Not saying one is better than the other. When you rank down you play easier opponents and it's not hard to make your way back up. Also you can rank up using some of the worst decks. Who doesn't want to beat aggro paladin with some tier 5 deck? No one's expecting that.

so you like cheating on the weaknesses of others?
stand your man and play actually worthy opponents or meme at casual.. sigh
2017: I hate that I have to tryhard to get a good rank at the end of the season.
2018: I hate that I don't have to tryhard to get a good rank at the end of the season.
Like seriously, what do you want?
I want the old system, I liked it. Also it was not that hard to reach rank5 at that time. Legend is the same as then i guess, I've only made it there after the new system came down. But tell me, do feel any sense of accomplishment, when you reach rank5 on the first day, knowing you won't have the time for the legend grind? It's like no game has any meaning, you are not working towards anything, so you try to have fun with meme decks and get rekt by all the tryhards. But everyone has their own opinion on that ofc :)
New players will love being greeted by a bunch of legend players. This idea just defeats the purpose of a ladder system. Imagine having to defeat 20 legend players to get to rank 19, especially if you are a new or casual player.
Welcome to the wonderful world of casual and wild OP.
Yeah, ofc the idea would need more regulations. I didn't mean just to go to 20 without anything else changing. There would need to be other changes, but i am not sure about how to implement that. Well I guess i just want the old system back.
You dont have to try hard at rank 5 at all. I had a lot of fun and even reached legend playing recruit hunter, quest rogue, mech hunter and quest/deathrattle priest.
These arent bad decks, but by no means youre obliged to play tier 1 decks in order to win games from rank 5 to legend.
I created a second account for this buddy, but because I can play, I reach legend even there, despite the account being f2p and 2 months old, LUL. Odd Rogue, easy.

No worries because the safety net won't let you fall.

Maybe i'll invade wild with some cancer decks :D
Star Aligner Druid or Big priest incoming.
Edit: Not that there are enough of those already, haha

So yeah, that’s not going to happen.
