Sure it’s something to do but the only reward after solving 100 puzzles is a card back...really?! Not worth my time scratching my brain to solve these. Maybe if the reward was better I wouldn’t look up all the solutions. Also having to hit ok on the error message 20 times after each boss is super annoying.
It's free, and a new way to experience the game, and they gave us 3 free packs just to celebrate the launch, not sure what else you think you deserve here.
There was a reward essentially, it just wasn't locked behind doing the content.
I don't know why people complain about that so much. They say they don't want to do the puzzles but they want a reward. They got the reward upfront and don't have to do the puzzle, so you should be happy it isn't locked behind content. I remember people complaining that they had to do monster hunt for the free packs and that it took up quest slots, so they tried to fix that but still complaints.
I think they're fun, and that is why ive been doing them.
I don't see how you could complete the puzzle labs and not come out of it having learned several new combos and facts about cards in both wild and standard that you didn't know before. Being a stronger player at the end is a reward. It's also fun if you get some satisfaction from solving puzzles. This might only apply to older generation players where you aren't conditioned to believe you deserve a reward and a gold star for just showing up.
Yesterday, I took the time to fill out a sudoku on the back of a newspaper. And guess what? There was no reward either!! Why on earth would ANYBODY use their prescious time on sudokus if there is not reward?! For FUN!? I NEVER do things for fun, I want to be properly rewarded! /s
I like he's being genuine. He's a new player to HS (Looking at his achievements), and he probably can't play many meta decks, so he hoped the new solo adventure will help him earn cards. But then he got dissapointed from the rewards. It makes sense.
I liked both dungeon runs more but it's pretty cool go through all of Hearthstone's cool interactions. Like damaging minions into negative numbers, Reincarnate on Leeroy Jenkins or killing your own Savannah Highmane for lethal. Thanks Reynad!

Free thing not worth it. Cool man. Just don't do it. No one cares.

So it's a lesson for him that Blizzard won't give him more 18 card packs per year.

I believe it's a fallacy to insinuate older players enjoy more strategic endeavours. Perhaps OP falls on the side of the "entitled", but this new content continues the trend of atrophy for the solo content many of us predicted. They came out guns blazing with Dungeon Run which is fantastic...then they remade dungeon run with less content which was still decent. My primary issue with this new content is its replayability is abysmal; at least with the original Adventures you could take on harder versions of all the trials. With puzzles, very rarely will you find a person who enjoys re-doing old puzzles. Seems to me it's pretty obvious the quality and worth of solo content for Hearthstone will continue to degrade unless a) you make it roguelike, or b) add another element or level of play to keep the average person playing more than twice.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
I’m getting a lot of negative comments on this so I guess I’d like to clarify my statement. I understand that upon login they gave us free packs. I guess in my opinion it would have felt better to me if the card packs they gave us were locked behind the puzzle adventure.
Okay stay with me on this one, it was free to you and cost you absolutely nothing to play or kill time with. And as a reward for logging in you were given 3 packs plus the card back upon completion. The hearthstone community is such a joke when it comes to new content. Everyone says how easy it will be before release then upon release day 80 forum posts are made begging for solutions or how it wasn't worth the time. It's free content, enjoy it.
You basically got 3 free packs. What else you could ask for?
If there were an end-reward like that, then most people would rush through it and use cheat guides, rather than trying to enjoy it by solving it themselves
By not promoting a reward after, it allows players to play it whenever they feel like it and not incentivizing them to use a cheat sheet
It's not terrible imo, but still kinda weaker Elder Scrolls Legends puzzle rip-off. I enjoyed dungeon run and monster hunt much more, but hey, I guess we can't have everything. The problem is that puzzles unfortunately have no replay-ability whatsoever once it's done.
Try switching the game to another language and give them another go, pretty hilarious :D

They're more for the fun of it, than the card back. I had a ton of fun figuring them out, but puzzles aren't for everyone.

Playing it is its own reward.
3 pack at the begging, 100 puzzles to have fun with, 1 card back.. all this for free.
To me, the OP looks more like a spoiled brat.
What else you would want? Dungeons were no different.
There was a reward essentially, it just wasn't locked behind doing the content.

Ok but why are you trying to justify yourself here?
When the weak court death, they find it.

I'm not sure I quite get that you are going to look up the solutions -because- the reward isn't worth it. What is your rush to get a worthless reward?
