I don't know what's wrong... I'm sadly stuck at rank 15. I do not netdeck so I don't play best performing deck's in current meta but it's ridiculus how strong control deck's are rn. I'm playing Shaman all the time and I can't find a good performing deck. When I play malygos deck, zoo kick my azz, when I play token, control walock, odd warrior and control priests kick my azz. When I play overload, control and combo deck kick my azz as well. I can't win against any deathrate hunters, it's overwhelming how easily they create board full of 7/7 dragons. When I play control shaman with elementals, other control decks just doing it better. When I play evolution deck, aggro and control kick my azz. I lose one match, win one, sometimes I win 2 but lose 3 another. My highest win streak was up to max star 14 rank and then I droped to 15 rank 0 stars. I don't know how to counter this meta. It's full of everything and I think game just want to match me with deck who is counter for me. I haven't play a fair match-up since Boomsday came up, everything is messed and so unpredicteable. As f2p player I cann't switch deck's as I want because I lack of many cards. Druid is way expensive to afford, warlock is way too easy and unfun, warrior is twice as much expensive than druid. Odd rogue is cancerous and I don't like to make ppl mad, odd pally is not good rn because of control meta. What should I play to be fun and cheap and in most of cases effective in current meta? I'm talking about alot of control, high sustain, combo meta.
I kinda like hunter but I don't have his DK/Flark and Cube which is main win condition.
Mill Druid should be the best performing deck against all current meta decks. I switched to Wild because the Standard meta isn´t really fun so i can´t tell you which deck performs best at Rank 15-10.
If you have the cards for it, the tempo Shudderwock shaman that Zalae and some other pros are running is great fun and pretty powerful as long as you can take some tilting bad evolves from time to time.
Hunter without Rexxar rn is a wash, and Flark isn't a must.
I ran into this while playing the tempo shaman and it was frustrating, but play through it and you'll get by the hump. Rank 15 is full of strange decks and try hards looking to clear the rank floor, so it's going to be a bit unpredictable.
Also, if you have any friends that can spectate and possibly coach during stranger board states, that's always helpful. Having someone there can be huge when you're running into bad draw or tilting RNG from your opponent, because you can both vent about it and move on.
I play on NA server and am on the east coast, but I'm always willing to spectate and help if you'd like to add me. I'm not always on (got a wife and new baby) but if it helps and I'm available, I try to do my best.
I'd recommend sharing your battle.net tag here for people to add you if that's something you'd be willing to do. you can always block the trolls if they add just to grief you.
I hope this helps, and best of luck!

K... im gunna stop you right there. You make a post lamenting your rank, yet the first thing to come out and say that you don't use the most optimized decks in the meta. The price of being a free spirit is that you will likely not reach high ranks. Unless you're a pro, best leave the decksperiments to others and play what works best with the cards you have and your play style.

youre complaining about being beat and yet you refuse to use good cards.
You really solved your own problem and set a barrier on yourself from accomplishing it.
If you want to play jank decks just don’t be surprised if your ladder climb comes to a halt, rank 15+ is going to be full of players with at least an average sized collection.
I’ve stalled out at 9, but climbed from 14-9 with a Bloodlust Shaman build. Had almost 70% win rate until 9(***) when I started facing more control decks. I loke the deck and have been determined to make it work but will likely make a change.
I found a popular Bloodlust list and swapped some stuff out to have more spells to both control the board and activate overload effects of Unbound Elemental and Thunderhead.
I can share the deck code when I’m at my computer again (on mobile), however, I was facing mostly aggro when I made that climb so if that’s not what you’re seeing most it may not help.
If you are facing a ton of “cancerous” odd rogue though, I almost always beat them with my list. Similar to what was mentioned about odd pally above, it’s kind of a win quick/lose quick deck.
Find decks you're commonly queueing into, then look at what performs well against most or all of them. Play that deck. If you don't have cards for a full decklist. look at replacing them yourself or ask for advice so you can make budget versions until you're able to afford a full list.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Around rank 15, I would recomend aggro mage. It’s fairly cheap and fast. Especially around rank 15, where people don’t always know what to play around or how the matchup works.
Here is the code for the Bloodlust deck I mentioned earlier. AAECAaoIBvUEhgbAB7P3Ao/7Apn7Agy9AfkDgQTwB5MJkcEC68ICsPAC9vAC4vgC6voCioADAA==#
Again, it probably won't do well against control/combo, but it'll do well against almost any aggro. The deck is itself an aggro deck with some tools to help control the board and keep minion advantage for the big burst turn later on.
Most Bloodlust lists I've seen had little to no card draw or board clears, so that's the main difference you'll find in the list from that code. I included 2x Mana Tide, only a single Lightning Storm, and made sure to have 2x of both Zap! and Lightning Bolt. Use spells to control the board and activate specific overload synergies. Don't be afraid to use a Bloodlust to help get through a big taunt or make favorable trades if you won't clear your own board, or if you can easily refill the board. Stormsurge + Bloodlust will get you your +6 attack to all minions later on.
I only had one copy of Thunderhead when I got from 14-9 but have since opened a second. If you have two an easy swap in my list would be -1 Storm Chaser +1 Thunderhead.

I also don't netdeck or disenchant cards and i chose shaman as a primary class when I was ftp (long time ago now).
Right now, you can build a competitive tempo/zoo/midrange deck with any class with the mechs. Bloodlust is a great finisher for shaman, but shaman's biggest weakness right now is lack of draw. I like the 4 Mana 3/4 minion, draw your bloodlust (storm chaser?)
A card that hasn't seen play in a long time but can be a real winner in shaman is doomhammer. We have a neutral 2 Mana weapon buff minion, and phantom freebooter is an amazing turn 6 play after turn 5 doomhammer (4 Mana 5/9). If u play doomhammer you also want rockbiter. You can often bait out weapon removal with stormforged axe, which is also great against aggro/odd decks.
Midrange decks are really strong right now if you have enough reach to close out the game before gul'dan turns crazy, and most combo decks are too slow. Mossy horror is the tech of choice right now that wins games. Lightning storm or beakered lightning are good to deal with zoolock.
"help, I don't want to play good decks but I want to climb!!"
You are always going to have bad match ups no matter what deck you play. The worst your deck, the more bad match ups you will have. If you want more good match ups, you need to play a good deck. No one has ever reached legend without making some of their opponents mad. Being concerned about some one else's enjoyment and wanting to climb does not compute. Even if you are just memeing, you will annoy certain folks. Just play a strong deck that climbs like zoo or odd rogue, or get over it and accept your rank.
Thanks yall for tips. I forgot about doomhammer and few cards of shaman that are quite good but forgotten and also I will try budget mage/spell hunter decks to see how it goes in current meta. Thanks for builds and deck, for sure I'll do some changed in my current decks as well. For those who was wondering why I do not netdeck is, I want to become a good deck maker. I just learn whats good and whats isn't so in future when I become an experienced player I can tell tips and maybe guide someone to become more successful in deck&decision making.
I'm just struggling in current meta, before Boomsdays came in, I was pretty successful at rank climbing on my second account but things changed when meta become soo random and unpredicteable. Unfortunetly one deck can't be able to beat everyother, maybe Odd warrior can but thats another piece of dust pile.
I climbed rather easily with spell hunter if you do enjoy hunter.
I managed to get to rank 12 using a f2p budget midrange hunter deck, but that was last season.
I would say that odd paladin is the most enjoyable and fast deck to play for climbing. If you lose, at least you lose quickly and can move on to the next game.
Rank 12 is what you call climbing rather easily ?
