I generally applaud people's courage to publicly associate themselves with the probably ugliest card back in Hearthstone, but other than that ... I don't really care at all. xD
This. It’s got to be the ugliest, and pride... really? You grinded in an RNG game, bravo. The adventure card backs are way cooler imo.
Given that they reached Legend at least once and knowing the kind of grind you need to do to achieve it, I think they earned the right to wear that card back whenever they want. I don't do it myself but I'm just saying those guys have all the right to do it.
I understand that, but imagine a guy proudly wearing his Legend card back beaten by a rank 18 (or actually being stuck near that rank) I'd be ashamed.
Don't care, you can play that card back at any rank, I care whether you use that card back and play your game correctly or not, that is what I take some attention to.
I personally use the Legend card back with specific decks, regardless of Rank. If I'm going with a deck I personally see as a deck that is worthy of that card back, I'll use it, otherwise no. I also use it when I'm with a 35 Legendaries deck, for obvious reasons, and also the fact that I don't own the Golden Celebration card back.
(Decks I use it with include normal Burn Freeze and Infinite Burn Mage, Miracle and Oil Rogue, most Malygos Combo decks, Patron Warrior, and a few others.)
I personally think it looks best with a golden warrior and maybe rogue too.
There is no difference between rank 15, 10 ,5 or Legend except the time put in. So if they have earned the card back then show it off! I do.
So you're one of those who thinks that there are absolutely no skills involved in Hearthstone and everyone is good enough to be Legend rank ?

Skill in childly game where people netdecking even for PvE brawl where you can get pack for losing? Even laboratory hamster can play these zoo lock or Baku rogue.
Legend card back in low rank are almost always tier 1 aggro decks with autoplays and dumb decisions. In wild a golden warrior hero is always pirate. So I know, I have to mulligan for my board clears.

But what makes someone a rank 20 player and a rank 5 player or even Legend ? You do realise that saying there's no difference between them is like saying a Platinum level player at SC2 or LoL is equivalent to a Master player and the only difference between them is the time played, that's absurd.
Also as you said, the fact that people are all ''netdecking'' just makes it even harder for better players to stand out from the bad players that are just netdecking, which means that there's a difference in skill since some people are able to get higher ranks even though most people are playing the same premade decks.
Legend card back in low rank are almost always tier 1 aggro decks with autoplays and dumb decisions. In wild a golden warrior hero is always pirate. So I know, I have to mulligan for my board clears.
Anyway they are not so good players. Today at 20 rank I did meet Mecha'thun druid with legend card back. I had 1 minion on board - 2/4 Acolyte of pain, that druid did cast Naturalize on him and then got beaten by Lich king, because he couldn't remove him, lol.
Legend rank is nothing special anymore the game has been out for years and most get the rank with some bs netdeck, it’s just a matter of putting in the time. There is loads of horrible players that have hit legend.

Man, people are losing only 4 ranks at the start of season, even bad people can get legend at the end of season for only that reason.
nothing there have been literal no brainer decks you could take to legend in the history of the game, for example as much as i enjoyed secret paladin back in tgt a friend of mine did program a bot to run the deck that actually reached legend with the deck (he also got his account banned and that got him really annoyed) but it proved his point, so legend is more of a measure of time wasted rather than skill.
I don't use it, I use Pandaria cardback mostly, to show off I was here from the beginning. And there are a number of better looking cardbacks then Legend, imo (Dalaran being the prettiest, even though it's pink :D).
Also, I feel the need to respond to people who claim the only difference from Legend and rank 15-10 or 5 players is time; that may be true, for people who have managed to achieve Legend before but didn't play in a while or something - their rank dropped artificially but their skill is still good. This is all the more evident in tournament play, where there are other factors to consider, recognizing the meta, desireable tech cards etc... If you're playing a decent number of hours every month (with the intent of climbing; I know there are people who just take rank 5 - or Legend, and then chill and play memes or test stuff - I do it too sometimes), and can't climb higher than rank 5, than, no, the invested time is not the only factor keeping you at lower ranks.
In a cardgame like HS, the best player in the world might lose to a very low ranked player due to highrolls, bad draws etc., but he'll not lose consistently.

Yeah, right. Even with such bad plays he did reach legend.

Yeah, right. Even with such bad plays he did reach legend.
Maybe he did it 2 years ago with aggro shaman or pirate warrior while being bad at the game.
Maybe he bought his account or got someone to boost it for him.
Just because you met someone that's shit with the Legend card back, that doesn't mean the average level player of those currently in Legend are bad.
The fact that you're able to reconise that he made some obvious mistakes PROVES that there are skills involved in the game. The difference between a good and bad play is made by skills.

I did not say that there's no skill at all, I mean to achieve that legend no skill is required.

Are you talking about the current Tavern Brawl? If so, PvE stands for Player Versus Environment, the programmed AIs the developer puts for players to face. In Hearthston, that is Practice and Adventures, and the rare Tavern Brawl. Brawlisseum is a PvP mode. Would a Lab Hamster know this?

I play either Patron and Control, should be fun to face you.

I don't think it's fair to say that it doesn't take skills whatsoever, however, it's true that even bad players can achieve it by just brainlessly aiming face with their stupid baku rogue even ignoring obvious better plays.

I will never use mine. It is extremely bland looking, like if I was told that's the basic cardback everyone starts with I wouldn't be surprised, it's that ugly.
I like seeing the cardback at low ranks because it's so much more satisfying when you beat them. They are only using it to show off, yet they are stuck at low ranks and can't even win. What's better than that?

I am interested in knowing the opinion of others.
So you're one of those who thinks that there are absolutely no skills involved in Hearthstone and everyone is good enough to be Legend rank ?
Let them show it, they've earned it after all.
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
They obviously got the card back a while ago if they are now at rank 20-10. Might have been Secret Paladin or pre-Warsong Commander.
