Aluneth for the simple reason that you can make more decks with the mage weapons. It fits in top tier decks, at least in Wild and it will have application in every future aggressive mage deck.
When it comes to Rhok'delar, while it is a good weapon for spell hunter it's not mandatory so you can easily get away with not crafting it.

I wouldn't craft either tbh. Neither one is for a T1 deck and Aluneth isn't even really seeing play right now at all.
I have been playing with my own version of Tempo Mage (I run Aluneth, but not Pyroblast for example, too expensive for my taste) and I have been smashing almost all opposition (including Spell Hunters). I'm at rank 4 with 5 stars now, and it's only a matter of time till I hit legend, Running two Vex Crows helped me a lot in many matches.
I own the hunter weapon but I haven't played a lot of games with it. Imo, the hunter weapon has a high impact for the archetype . It is a unique finisher and I don't think hunter will get any good/cheap replacement for that weapon. Also spell hunter will always get better with every expansion as blizzard increases his spell pool.
As for Aluneth mage, I have won more than 300 games with it and I don't think it's that important. But I love the weapon! With the list I'm playing, most of the times I win by turns 6-8 where I don't have serious draw issues. You can also find some cheap replacements.
I vote for Aluneth simply because I like spell mage more than spell hunter haha. There are obviously arguments for both.
I've been playing a spellpower tempo mage, and it's a lot of fun. Burn mage always seemed to rely on drawing Aluneth around turn 8 or so, and if you didn't, classes could stabilize and start beating you. However, with the likes of Stargazer Luna now, there are other ways to draw cards. It's a lot more fun than before (and I liked it before, even though lots of people hated me for it lol).

Rhok'delar has won me countless games on its own and the hand refill on turn 7 or 8 is insane value.
Every time I play against someone with Aluneth they always draw too many cards and burn combo pieces or just great removal. Its a weapon you want removed or you will eat your deck too fast. Basically the exact opposite of the hunter weapon.
Both decks are average in this meta, but both weapons are powerful in their decks.
While there is a vocal community that really hates tempo mage, and even though the Rexxar DK is incredibly fun, let's not kid ourselves. Looking over to wild (which is where the decks are going in 8 months), the power level of Aluneth mage is absolutely insane. Spell hunter is inconsistent, relying on Barnes into Y'shaarj to be competitive which is arguably even more disgusting than Fireballs to face.

Never had that combo in my versions, still used to stomp that version though

Of course, I recommend OP to craft Aluneth.
Aluneth talks to you. Done deal.
I wouldn't craft either. The deathrattle hunter decks are more flexible in build, more fun, and more powerful.
Edit: Just saw stats that Spell Hunter is very powerful. But I have doubts it will stay this way throughout the boom meta.

agreed youd be better off in the long run crafting edwin vancleef or one of the tier 1 legendaries
