Without grumble you could only try things like buffing shudderwork with battlecrys like corpsetaker (with alkair or something that have windfury) and the card with the battlecry of gaining 10 atack or wathever that improve stats and saronites to try to get some big shudderwork and push for damage in the next turn, or the battlecries that improve the stats for other minions like fungalmancer and bonemare to push for lettal with the board you have, or something like improving your board for example with the battlecry of DK thrall or something. I don't know if one of these ideas could be really viable but you can try to experiment with what you have.
Maybe a little late but the most probable thing is that your opponent had played Tess Graymane at some point in the game, so when he plays Shudder it also activates the battlecry of tess replaying all the shaman spells and summoning the minions that he played from your class, so every unstable evolution he casted before is casted again.
the only time to never play grumble in a match is when a control warrior is attempting to azalina lockout on you
if you don’t play grumble then the shudderwocks getting Zola’d back to hand are always 9 mana making their intended lockout too expensive to handle a constant wave of 6/3’s that drained them per turn
Shudderwock is still so strong with only 1 new card added i beat most decks, but i have a question is Shudderwock bugged or anything? i'm playing against a rogue in ranked with Shudderwock Shaman. He plays unstable elemental and spams it on hes minions a few turns later i had everything under control he plays murmering elemental then shudderwock from the card that copies 10 cards from opponents deck, which then spams unstable evolution till he has 7 minions and all 10 mana. How is this even possible since its not a battlecry card? So confused never happend before, can someone explain?
Sorry for this unrelated question, i'm just really curious.
Did they play Tess Greymane first? Shudderwock would play Tess' battlecry, which would play non-rogue spells played during the game.
Edit: Oops, didn't see it already mentioned above.
He's pretty sweet in quest shaman without grumble, in case you need to refill a second time and freeze a bunch of stuff in the process. Only downside is the games rarely last long enough for this backup plan to be relevant.
Just keep Zola in hand, make sure u play a Coppertail Imposter, ur saronites and a banker or 2 b4 u play shudderwock. At least one of your wocks get stealth until end of turn. Next turn zola the one u stealthed. This is a good workaround and also this way they can't kill all Shudderwocks most of the time. It's slower than regular and i dont know if it fits well in current agro meta, but there u go, you now have two chances to complete the combo.

Or something like this if you want to go full meme with the bombers. You can potentially shuffle up to around 20+ bombs into your opponents deck.
The combo of elek, murmuring, seaforium shuffles 4 bombs in. If you discount an elek, murmuring elemental or shudderwock with far sight you can play combo it to double his bomb shuffles. Baleful banker and zola can get you even more bombers and/or shudders so you can potentially go infinite too.
nope he is way too important

Grumble should be in the deck 100%
