The real issue why aggro thrives and control flounders is a lack of early game board clears. Razakus priest was only viable because of dragon fire potion and shadow word horror. Mage lost a board clear as well. These cards kept aggro in check, and without them we are left with a meta where control decks need to clear a board and can’t. Mage is falling back on flamestrike, which is extremely overcosted. Priest has duskbreaker which requires a deck built around it. The best board clears ironically belong to the worst aggro offenders, Paladin and Warlock.
For me, I enjoy the game, heartstone is like another card game , if you do not like the meta, then do not play the game. When I play modern on MTG, I see the same deck over and over.
To everyone saying I'm wrong, I respect and appreciate the opinions, but I don't feel as though I am completely wrong. Murloc paladin, Odd paladin, even paladin, OTK paladin, Jade druid, Taunt druid, Malygos druid, token druid, handlock, cubelock, zoolock, etc. These decks (or similar) have been problematic for a very, very long time.

Give me a class and I'll tell you an archetype that was very problematic.
Pirate Warrior, Patron Warrior, Aggro Shaman, Jade Shaman, Tempo Rogue with Keleseth and Patches, Quest Rogue, Face, midrange and undertaker Hunter, Freeze Mage & Reno Mage, burn mage, Raza highlander priest, dragon priest, etc.
The issue is that for the majority of classes, it's not nearly EVERY expansion that they're Tier 1. For example, in K&C, EVERY warlock card besides Cataclysm saw immense competitive use, that's like 13 cards in 1 set that were auto-includes in the majority of warlock lists. I highly doubt any other class has had it as good as warlock (for example) in recent memory. The most I can remember are the other 2 I mentioned. Druids were god-tier after MSoG, and Paladins have had great aggro for a long time now as well. The other classes, yes, have their OP bullshit metas, but I don't see them appearing nearly as often as the 3 listed in the OP. Compare the number of insane warlock or druid decks to say warrior decks, it's like 5 or 6 to 2 or 3 in either case I'd wager. This is only my opinion, but they definitely need to look at what's happening better. Specific cards like Raza, Patches, Jades, and now things like Branching Paths offer so much in a single card, and they don't get fixed until it's far too late.
