First I would like to say that this is not a "nerf this!" or "this is op" thread but an attempt to objectively discuss the new magnetic mechanic in the light of historic buff mechanics in Hearthstone.
I would like to gather some views/opinions on the magnetic mechanic and some associated questions.
Playing a lot of Buff spells in your deck was never that viable because of the main constraint that you had to have a target on board. Therefore buff decks were constrained in a way because they had to fit in minions and spells what limited the number you could have of both. The main disadvantage is still that without a minion on board you have dead cards in your hand. Even if your able to buff up a card there was a good chance for your opponent to trade 1 single minion removal card or silence or minion on board for the 2 cards you spend.
On the other hand we have buffs through minions. As with spells you need a target on board as well, while you are still able to just play the minion on an empty board for tempo. When a buff happened though, the targeted minion was only able to use the buff effect on the same turn, while the buffing minions stats remained sidelined until the turn after.
Now we have the magnetic mechanic, which provides extreme flexibility. The main disadvantage of buff spells is not present because you are able to put the minions on board at any time you want. In cases in which you have an active buff target though ALL effects and stats of the magnetic minion come into play at once. In my opinion this makes the mechanic in general way more flexible and therefore better than both spell or minion buff cards, because the opposing player has to decide constantly, whether he wants to spent removal on fairly small targets to avoid taking huge damage the next turn. If he does remove the minion though through trades or spells, it is not that big of a deal because you can simply play the next minion, remain present on board and re-start the decision process.
To sum it up, I feel the new mechanic is at least potentially very potent and probably a little stronger than historic buff mechanics but only time will tell, how strong it will actually affect the meta and how well it was balanced.
I am really interested in how this mechanic will affect HS in the Upcoming month and over the next 1,5 years in standard and wild and would love to hear some oppinions on the matter.
And if you silence a mech that had been magnetitised(how ever you spell it) it loses the effect but not the stats but with buff cards it does loses it stats :D I can be wrong about this but I am pretty sure
It seems like silence works as it should
If the card gets Silenced, the extra stats and all of the effects disappear. You just get the base, Silenced Mech. It works exactly like you would Silence a regular buff, such as Spikeridged Steed.

I acutally did not silence one yet but that would make it very strong.

To me, Magnetic feels like it's gonna replace buff spells whenever possible (i.e. enough good mechs to go in a deck).
btw, I don't think silence works like that, I'm pretty sure it removes the stats and effect both, can't test it rn tho.
You can't stop the signal.
I've played Spellbreaker on one, works normally (stats are removed)
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"
-"In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming"
Everything else would have blown my mind XD
