1. They have nonsensical alphanumeric names (4TQ89XZ or PGL01JX). 2. Their deck is almost always a collection of basic cards. They will use the highest value basic cards of each mana cost -- such as Chillwind Yeti, Boulderfist Ogre, etc. 3. Their deck will always contain the most useful basic spells of that class (Frostbolt, Power Word: Shield, Execute) 4. They hover over cards in your hand, making them light up red. No human player can do that. 5. They never rope, but always take about the same amount of time each turn (roughly 10-15 seconds, it's slightly faster than a human). When they attack with a minion, there is a 2 second delay for each attack.
I think the bots are there to grind the basic game, get some cards, and then sell to buyers on illegal third-party sites.

Yep and a bot's moves are very mechanical indeed. You can tell when you are playing against a bot, and I figured it was to sell accounts.
It use to happen to me ALL the time (Warlock and Warrior) a few months back. It never happened since, I figured Blizzard stop some of them... Wishful thinking?
In wild casual there are a lot of bots. They play pirate warrior and even shaman. They are awefully slow, each attack has the exact delay and they make awefull mistakes.

Why are there so many bots being played in the casual mode? What's the point to having a bot running basic only cards have in this game?
Do they sell accounts with a ton of gold so people can get a good start?
Yes.
How do you know they're bots ?

I think I played against 4 yesterday in ranked...

It’s more impressive that people lose to them enough for them to consider it a viable way to make gold.

I NEVER see bots. It's always top tier 1/2 ranked decks in both ranked and casual.
