Hey guys, there have been numerous opinions in the recent past stating that we are having the most balanced meta in a while (maybe ever). And I agreed with that, since I was seeing a whole bunch of different decks on the ladder, from aggro through combo to control. But lately, I once again have to disagree. In the past few days, big majority of the decks I encountered were aggro. Zoolock, odd paladin, tempo mage and even odd hunter. (And of course, they all emote at least three times before they kill you, but that fits more in the salt thread than here). I know that people are predicting that Boomsday meta will be very aggresive, but I feel like it's already happening.
So my question is - how is your experience on ladder (standard) now? Are you still encountering control and combo decks and am I only getting unlucky or has meta really shifted towards "I will kill you by turn 5" decks?
In that case, can someone recommend good anti-aggro deck? Big spell mage doesn't really work. Should I try quest priest?
big spell mage, ctrl paladin, warlocks, quest priest and quest warrior works good against aggro. but dont worry to much if u loose against them (sometimes they overrun you even if u picked a "aggro-counter") and adapt ur mulligan against aggro. they punish bad hands very harsh.
You say that a majority of ladder is " zoolock, odd paladin, tempo mage and even odd hunter." I have to disagree. At least what I'm seeing, at rank 4 currently, is a lot of malygos, taunt, and token druid, zoolock, evenlock, odd rogue, odd pally, the occasionall deathrattle or spell hunter, and a suprising amount of control mage (not a lot, but more than I would expect). So, at least for me, my laddering has consisted of many slower matchups. Maybe you're more salient towards those aggressive decks you mentioned because you matchup badly against them?
Also, even if the meta shifts towards aggression in the last week, you have to admit that overall, the Witchwood meta has been pretty dynamic and diverse in the last three months, particularly after the spiteful nerfs.
The meta is very balanced at the moment and I'm loving that fact. The only problem I see with the meta right now is the largest "coin differential" in hearthstone history. People going first are winning at a higher % than ever before :\. If you look at culprits it's clear the Odd/Even(Glen/Baku) mechanics are to blame.

thats actually a point i was wondering about too. i have a ridiculous winrate difference of 21% (69% going first and 48% with coin) last season

Meta is way to balanced and I don't like it.
Why ? Because it takes forever to climb with 51 percent win rate.
I want OP decks so that I can win more consistently.
its not unusual to see a lot of aggro at the start of the season. as soon as they rank up u will see a greater variety of decks
Don't worry, someone will find something ever so you can copy - paste it.
Yeah.
It's a good thing a new expansion comes soon.
Maybe new powerful decks will appear.

I think warlocks are good against aggro.
last season i used 16 different decks and ranked up from 9 to legend with 59% wr. so i think its more on you if ur winrate is that low

Why would you change now? Save your dust 2 days, everything will change after that.

Our Druid overlord will arrive in roughly 2 days, it is futile to discuss any meta now
Who said anything about crafting? I have all the decks, I'm just asking which one would be good.

For those who don't know what he's talking about, this is a great read: https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/the-witchwood-coin-differential-a-silent-problem/
It's a pretty real problem that even/odd decks directly exacerbate.
I use my Even Warlock deck when aggros' got me down.
thats actually a point i was wondering about too. i have a ridiculous winrate difference of 21% (69% going first and 48% with coin) last season
Just play warlock.
Defile stomps aggro.
Very well balanced...
Dead but dreaming
Please tell me it was a joke. It was a joke right?
