I wish they offered a Mini-Bundle for people who wanted Mecha-Jaraxxus but can't or won't shell out that much money.
Mini-Bundle would include the Hero skin and ten packs for $10.
For me, the Mega-Bundle is a good option, representing about how many packs I'd want to buy anyway, but I respect the differences across the community and the fact that a lot of people would like the hero skin without spending such a large amount.
What do you guys think? Especially for those who want the skin, but don't want to pay $80. Would this be a good solution? Would it devalue the Mega-Bundle for those who buy it?
Yeah he's there to entice you to get the big boy. I like the idea of mini bundles though of say 10 packs like you say at a discounted rated. Can sometimes help fill up those last few cards you need or JUST ENOUGH dust to get that ONE legendary your missing.
It's all a matter of supply and demand. They are making a mint of money this way, they are not interested in the people who are f2p, they are interested in those who invest their money in HS. Long story short: Blizzard is a company and acts that way.
I think in this particular release Blizzard, Activision, Team 5 whoever is to blame for the lack of CONSISTENCY, blew it big time. I understand the business perspective including the fact that they report to bosses who sadly, report to shareholders.
What we have been hearing forever now is about how Hearthstone players feel it lacks consistency, and the company acknowledging it with promises to fix. The card design process has lost it's consistency over the years, and very clearly now even the platform of selling in game product is now lacking the same consistency. We went from Adventures and Expansions with the same regular expectation of launch time and price, to just expansions with inconsistent preorder offerings. The only thing that has been consistent about the new expansion cycle was the time frame for launches, the preorder card back, and a new free to unlock item, (Maiev - Un'Goro, Arthas - Frozen Throne, Marin the Fox - Kobolds, Lunara - Witchwood). Now, in addition to the preorder pack count changing again, we no longer get the free hero which is now hidden behind the paywall as well.
At this point it's 100% not about the money, it's about a consistent message and expectation for the players.
PS: I bought the Mega Bundle already because I do not normally spend any money on this game or really any games, so it wasn't hard to justify. However, this cannot be the regular expectation of players.
I wouldn't mind a mini bundle like $20 you get 20 packs and card back maybe? I think that would appeal to a lot of people, but giving the skin in a mini bundle would make a lot of people not want the mega bundle.
I'm not sure how big the Mini-Bundle would be, but the one dollar a pack discount should be extended to those who can't justify $50, in my humble opinion.
A separate but related issue is the Mecha-Jaraxxus being locked behind an $80 paywall. If he was available for the same price as the other heroes, that would be nice. I get that it's bad business to sell the skin cheap: they'll sell quite a few people on the Mega-Bundle who really only wanted to pay $50, but see the hero skin as just enough reason to spend the extra $30. That said, it would be more fun if people who wanted the skin could get it for a more reasonable price.
Full disclosure: I bought the Mega-Bundle, so I don't really have a dog in this fight. I'm not complaining about a larger bundle, I'm buying it. I just wish there were more options for the huge number of players who like cool things and have a tighter budget.
People paid 80 dollars for the hero skin making it avaible for 10 dollars would make them angry and would not be good for blizzard
That is the other aspect to consider.
I think they could make all of the Hero Skins, including the "exclusives" available in the shop for $10. In my view, someone else buying a skin that's fun for them doesn't impact my ability to have fun with it. But I can see how someone who spent $80 just to get the skin from the Mega-Bundle would feel tricked or cheated.
The cheaper the bundle, the fewer things can be made a part of it in order for it to make financial sense. Bear in mind, at the start of an expansion, packs will sell regardless of bundles. Blizzard can be more generous later on in a set, after the sales have plateaued, in order to spur a brief period of spending that would not have otherwise been there.
A $10 bundle at the beginning of an expansion is probably a bad idea from a sales point of view. Keep in mind, packs cost @ $1.50. So $10 is only getting you 6.6 packs. Let's say it's rounded up for the bundle: 7 packs.
What is the point of paying $10 real dollars for 7 packs when you can very easily use 700 free gold?

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.
Makes little sense. People would just buy the regular preorder AND The mini bundle. Better off just offering say 3 or 4 packs and the hero
Or just the hero to go along Magni and Medivh...
Another idea for a mini-bundle: $0, I get all the cards from the new set, and all the hero skins, and the legend card back.

You are not funny bro. Do you work for Blizzard or what?
Not gonna happen.

You didn't answer my question, bro.
Because it wasn't a question, bro. It was an accusation, bro.
I agree on that.
It was a sincere question, bro. Answer it please: do you work for Blizzard or what, bro?

i play cubelock and lose 5 games in a row then i play odd paladin and get my stars back wash rinse repeat

The current pre-order bundles are too expensive for me, so a cheaper option would be nice.
I would happily buy a $25 (usd) 30-Pack bundle (no golden legendary, no skin).

The entire point of the skin being part of the Mega-Bundle is obviously to get ppl to spend money. Nothing more, nothing less.
