Answer one simple question. What should a man do when he wants to buy a larger number of packages at a good price, but he does not want this "thing", what is this Mecha-Jarraxus portrait?
This ugly portrait exaggerates the price of the Mega Bundle. I wanted to buy 60-80 packages at a good price, but certainly not at a price that was inflated by the Mecha-Jarraxus portrait. I will not spend 20% of my monthly salary on such a "thing"...

If $80 is 20% of your monthly salary, I feel super bad for your employment currently. That's not even minimum wage.
BUT ON TOPIC... I'll do what I want with my money. So there's that...
I'll do what I want with my money. So there's that...
And your signature indicates youre a docsub lol. so theres that....
sure you can do what you want with your money, however that business practice is bad. it is especially for the customers but also for the industry as a whole.

20% of his monthly salary is $15 higher than minimum monthly wage in my country ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I titally don’t understand what’s all the rage about.
nowadays almost all AAA games come with a ‘limited’ or ‘collector’ version which give exclusive in game cosmetic things. It doesn’t give the pay player any advantage.
I actually hope blizzard do this more often.it is the same as the card back. If blizzard can make this a regular thing, I might be more tempted to spend Money on this game.
I used to budget myself to buy the pre-order bundle for every expansion. However, after getting not much value from the money that I spend, I decided not to spend any money unless Blizzard give us more value. Most legendary and epic cards in each expansion sucks. If we are not lucky to open one that is useful, we just have to craft it. After opening 50-60 free packs, I basically have most of the common and rare cards. I am currently sitting at 20K dust. There are probably only 2-3 legendary cards are use in a tier one deck. The dust that I have can probably last me at least another 3-4 expansions without spending any money to play comfortably. Blizzards is probably losing more costumer like me than others. Since Blizzard is unwilling to lower down the price of the packs, it has to try to give the us more value somewhere else to buy the bundle.
I agreed that Blizzard shouldn’t make any strong cards just for paying customers, the only way to give us more value is by giving us an esclusive hero portrait. The exclusive card back is such a joke because only the opponent can see it! Not the player itself. If the card back is really pretty, I feel that I just pay for the card back so that my opponent can enjoy it. But this hero portrait is different. At least I can see it and enjoy the cosmetic as a paying customer. I hope that blizzard can make a hero portrait bundle with each pre purchase in every future expansion.
Blizzard can make all these hero portrait available for 10 dollars in the future, probably 1 year after the release of expansion. This can give the collector to collect it, and also let the paying customers enjoy using the hero portrait in game first.

I would ask myself "How can I invest in myself and find more ways to earn money until buying packs with real money becomes cheaper than buying packs with gold?"

Where the hell do you live man? 80$ do not even cover my electricity expenses, lol
I used to live in a 3rd world country. I can understand the pain of buying things pricing in USD. My only advice is don’t play the game. You are simply not the company target group. My first job only earned me 200USD full time a month as a factory worker, and the average salary in my country is about 600-700 USD a month. You just have to play games that are more f2p friendly than hearthstone if you can’t afford it.
I hard agree with the OP so much and this is one of the reasons why I quit playing Hearthstone. I could go on a giant rant about how much this game sucks but I won't.
Bottom line: Hearthstone is a rapidly dying game. Blizzard realizes this and this is why they're trying to milk whatever they can out of it.
Nobody wants to invest money into this game anymore when: A. The expansions people are spending ludicrous amounts of money on are constantly being cycled into an alternative/non-competitive mode and B. Blizzard has done next to nothing to reduce the tedium of going the free-to-play route for casual players. Then on top of that, they've repeatedly nerfed the one playstyle that casual players forgo because it's cheap and quick which is aggro decks. So they pretty much force you to invest a lot of time or money into this pay2win abomination.

I don't think the game is pay2win per se and I also don't see any signs of the game dying.
As a new player you can pay with money, or you can pay with time, buying and crafting packs via daily quests, etc.
Hearthstone is following the collectable card game model. Which has always been loot box style packs. It's no different to MtG which also allows people to preorder packs on the cheap and get game mats with them. If you thought a digital card game would be different then I don't know what to say to you.
lol im guessing someone has never played other card games before, the fact that you are complaining about buying packs of cards in a collectable card game is ridiculous, thats like complaining about having to learn combos in a fighting game.
Millennials in a nutshell. They grew up in a safe and "effortless" environment where everything is pretty much given to them thanks to advanced technology. So it's pretty common for them to take the easy patch and complain instead of working hard.
When I was a kid, if i wanted to eat milk and cereal for breakfast, i had to go milk the cow and harvest grains. And we only had one bathroom which was outside the house. Imagine sharing that with 6 family members.

In Poland (Europe). 80$ and in the shop in HS this prise is 350 PLN. My net salary is 1705 PLN and minimum monthly wage in my country is 1550 PLN.

You had a cow and grains? LUXURY!
When I were a kid, if I wanted to eat breakfast I'd have to get up at 4am, two hours after I'd gone to bed, fashion a shiv from an old spoon before entering the daily breakfast thunderdome with the other kids in the village. All for the chance to watch someone else eat breakfast and maybe, MAYBE be allowed to lick the bowl when they were done...

Nope. Hearthstone has never been more popular and they have never had more paying players.
Can you prove me wrong?

I don’t get this thread either.
Why are people complaining about the price, when they never buy a bundle anyway?
Shouldnt they be happy some ppl are buying those bundles and keep HS alive/f2p?

You will be surprised but a big part of the world get wages like that. 200$ or 300$. Minimal wages in our country is 140$, average is like 250-300$.

I agree. €50,- for 50 packs and a golden legendary? Okay.
But they really should offer more for €80 than just hero.
It's a crap deal. It's like:
"1 hotdooooooog for 2 eurooos! 5 hotdogs for 5 euros! And you won't believe this deal: 80 hotdogs for 80 euros!!!"
...how long can this (useless) thread go on ?!? :(
...the only thing that is made worse than previous deals for f2p players is cosmetic hero skin...
...and you do play this game thx to paying users... don't have to be grateful... just don't whine...
I don't think the game is pay2win per se and I also don't see any signs of the game dying.
