What punishments do you suggest for simply using features in the game, perhaps in a poor manner and who's to judge what's allowed or not since it's merely features in the game used in a certain way.
A rather stupid suggestion.
You know, abusive chat is “just using features in the game”. Doesnt make it acceptable. :-)
I dont agree that being a bad winner is reportable of course, but the old game features adage doesnt always work.
If it’s any consolation, I had someone try and take the piss the other day and I healed with Alexstraza and beat their arse the following turn. Very satisfying and taught them a lesson!
Timmy likes to win big. He doesn’t want to eke out a last minute victory. Timmy wants to smash his opponents. He likes his cards to be impressive, and he enjoys playing big creatures and big spells.
Just saw Alpha Investments video though, it freaking funny :)
There could be another explanation to why people play more cards then they should: quests.
If I have the "Play X Priest cards" I always try to play as many as I can before I win. Though it may seem like a douche move, I solely do it to complete the quest.
It should be reportable, but unfortunately people here will defend to the death these idiots’ rights to abuse the mechanics. They will defend their right to rope and waste your time, because they believe these asshats are entitled to do so.
I’d suggest posting this on a Blizzard forum so at least there’s a .1% chance it could be taken seriously.
im with you though. The argument of “just squelch them” is a cop-out. Or “just concede and move on” suggestion is stupid as well. Sure, let’s give the dumb asshole a free win for being and asshole.
Well I'm a Johny. No surprise there. Interesting read though as far as WoTC goes! :p

I like to show my hand to my opponent, for example, if he has 6 health left, I have a fireball in hand and topdeck another, I'll kill one of his minions with one, and him with the other - the example maybe isn't the best, but I just wanna show that I didn't win because of a lucky topdeck and he couldn't save himself with a small heal etc.
I do hate it when I am at 12 health and the opponent hovers over his cards for a good while, before playing 2x fireball, leeroy shadowstep etc. Just get on with it, why bm and waste everybody's time?
Hearthstone has by far one of the worst communities, and it's quite ironic really because of the lack of a chat function.
Correct.
Who knows why. Maybe the game attracts a lot of kids who don't know any better. Maybe people overestimate the amount of skill required to play the game and so think if they are winning they must be superior geniuses. Maybe people who choose to take a silly game with funny voices and cartoon animations so seriously are inept at civilised human interaction.
However, you can't control how other people behave. You can control your reactions. Accept that there are a lot of douchenozzles out there and don't let 'em get to you.
People like OP are the true toxic players. If someone wants to mess around and draw out their kill let them. They have won the right. The only true toxic way to play is to rope, every damn turn.
Well i'm a really nice guy in games. I always emote greeting at the start of the game. But if someone is trolling me and i can change the game around to my favor i troll them back big time. Soo yeah i hate it when people do that but you're even happier if you beat them...

Me play control deck,me rope so people think me smart.

LOL, this people... The problem are not the toxic players, the problem is that Hearthstone attracts a lot of weak minded adults that can't stand the toxicity. Also, all adults (women and men alike) should always be there to protect, educate and defend the children, and not complain about some of them like cry babies in an internet forum all the f...king time.
I am lucky in that I can keep my cool during games and I just squelch someone that spams emotes at me. as for dragging out games, if you can work out that you have lost, just leave the game... it's what I do at least.
As someone who is quite emotional though, I get you totally and some advice I'd like to impart.
Don't be salty in the forums or trolls will target you... It's happened to me and honestly, you don't want it.
I wish you luck in avoiding scum-tier players in the future young padawan.
Honestly since i always squelch i don care and the messing around with lethal trolling etc i dont care either cause it doesnt messes with my focus.
NOW what does messes with my focus and triggers me to the MOON is the fact that some ppl while waiting for opponents turn just hover their mouse nonstop across their cards in hand and card on the battlefield. that throws my focus away specially when im doing math on plays on future turns possible outcomes depending on what opponent is running etc.
I see streamers doing that a lot cause they are speaking with chat and explaining stuff so they hover the mouse around the cards but cmon its like 40% of players do this stupid shit to the point i need to block with my hand their side of the match so that i can think without being focused on their highlighted cards in hand
PLS THERE MUST BE A WAY TO BLOCK WHAT OPPONENTS MOUSE IS HOVERING ON!!!!!!

You can't stop the signal.
More emotes is the answer.
No, you are sensing a term defined by Mark Roosewater from Wizards about player types. More info here https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/timmy-johnny-and-spike-2013-12-03
