Most of these players don't even understand the game. They copy/paste a deck and watch a few videos on how to play it. If they lose the card that lets them get off those MLG montages they see on Youtube, they just give up because they don't realize they have outs. On the other hand, they may realize that a long, drawn-out game with a 50/50 chance at winning is pointless when they can que up two more quick games in that time with hopefully easy wins.
There is no such thing called "skill" in hearthstone.
The first steps to mastering anything is to accept that there are those who are better than you. And to accept this you must also concede that this is due to skill rather than that they happened to be lucky or some other poor excuse.
To reject the notion that Hearthstone requires skill is to reject the notion that you will ever get any better. Because you wont. “First change your mindset; second, change your fortune.”
You make your own RnG in this game. The most consistent players who win more are the ones who have the skill to know when tontest their luck against RnG and when to play safely.
It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to know that if your key Win Condition is disrupted, that your chances of winning have dramatically lowered, more likely than not you will save yourself some time by conceding.
Some people who play only to win will understandably stick it out, but it all depends on whether you enjoy playing out a match you are almost guaranteed to lose, I happen to not care enough about winning to play a game out after some bullshit like that happens, even if I have a chance of winning still
Why did the thread title change? It completely changes the question we all answered. Wasn't the original "does skill matter in the current meta" or something similar?
Yes, it was, but the new title actually reflects the content of the OP. We also had plenty of "does skill matter" threads, and the dubious %-posts were already pouring in.

Their is both Luck and Skill in Hearthstone. More luck than skill but both play a big factor in who wins or loses. You can't control whether a Burn Mage player gets an 8 Mana Pyroblast from Primordial Glyph or not.
It's wrong to claim that Skill doesn't matter and even more wrong to claim that RNG doesn't matter in Hearthstone.

Fucking hell, I'm currently at work and I just have to risk it to log in and say that this just brightened my day. Thank you.

Didn't you answer your own question here...?
