First of all, this is not a salty thread, I just want to make an observation about the current status of druids and how this could lead to a really big trouble in the future, specially in wild.
Due to the nature of druid cards, “choose one” and “ramp”, the class has been developing a big variety of archeotypes; the flexibility of them is something all the other classes lack. If you plus to this that Druid has the most amazing cards to create combos, Aviana and Kun the Forgotten King, we can say without a doubt that this class covers every type of deck with a couple of them being the top one of the archeotype.
If blizzard keeps printing cards like these for the class leaving all the other with the lack of flexibility this could lead to people to abandon the other classes. I have started to change my rogue combo focus for druid little by little :(
Welp, gotta remember there's 7 other balanced classes in the game.
*awkward cough* I think you mean 8 other classes :P ...unless you're considering one unbalanced, but surely you must be mistaken lel
As for the Druid itself, I don't think we have to worry just yet about the strength of their flexibility. In general, Choose One effects are usually combined with a loss of stats or higher mana costs, so there are a couple levers to pull to rein in the Keyword. Something else to consider is how easily having a plethora of archetypes can backfire: just look at the Shaman's cards from last year. A bunch of half-realized ideas that don't necessarily work together; I wouldn't be surprised if Freeze Shaman remains forever lacking :/
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
as "yousaybooyah" said, there are other 7 classes. Also i dont even play wild and the druid decks in standard are quite predictable now.talking about wild, every class there have thousand cards and combinations that are quite hard to predict, not only druid.
Druid might be dumpster rank once KFT/KnC rotates next year while the nerfed innervate is here to stay. Those two expansions have drastically changed the druid class and how you play it (You'd almost never nourish for ramp if not for the existence of UI and good "big" cards; letting yourself fall behind is great when you have spreading plague). It's true that druid is OP in wild though, and will probably continue to be for a long time
That said, all the druids, wild and standard are pretty much the same. There is no aggro druid anymore, even in wild as they are outclassed. You ramp up, draw cards, armor up, mostly with the same cards across all archetypes. The differences are the win conditions... Actually, the fact that we have such powerful support cards and weak win conditions is why there are so many "kinds" of druids out there. I'm calling the current druid win conditions weak because they all lose absolutely to a copy of the right card, be it an ooze, a transform effect, defile or even geist or dirty rat in wild. None of them can be truly dominant because once that happens, the counters will come out to push them back
As a Consistent Top 10 Wild Player. I understand where you’re coming from here. Druids Ramp And Draw constantly being given. Making its combo potential more Consistent and Endless Ramp. Can become very problematic especially if more cards are printed to further the archetypes more. But, after reading the commments here. I do also agree that there is 8 other classes with other Strenghths and weaknesses which over time will be pushed further due to additional power creeps each expansion. But, I am sure Blizzard do our these things into consideration. Certainly not as much as they would towards standard. But will put thought in what each card would do towards the Wild Format. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Interesting post By The Way and like your thought process thinking for the future of the game

As the other people said, there are 9 other classes with strong decks, but imo more importantly: the 9 other classes (including the neutral) have counters to the big plans of druid. Totally agree though, the druid is getting out of hand if they don’t watch out / dont print new tech options. Espessially in wild...
Thanks a lot for all your comments and insights! I just hope devs are taking all this into consideration, I think they are, and give more options to other classes as well.
As other hearthpwners mentioned, Druid is not a problem as long as other classes receive powerfull tools too. I think the biggest problem for the Wild is... Kingsbane. If Blizzard won't print some tech against that weapon, I might consider playing other CCG games. (I really got into MTG durring my free time besides books, friends, parties and stuff xD). Kingsbane is the biggest offender right now. I'm totally ok with getting destroyed by Aviana+Kun decks or Shudderwock decks as long as I keep in mind that I can tech against them( Reno decks are the most flexible one for that). I can't say the same about Kingsbane. Blizzard pushed Mill Rogue archetype so hard that apparently in Wild you autolose against Mill Rogues even with a shitton of techs as a Control deck. I would really appreciate if Blizzard made some Ooze that would silence or even silence and destroy the weapon. Not only it would bring skill back to the Mill Rogue ( Honestly this archetype is one of the easiest to pilot if you are not playing against hyper aggresive decks), but it would also give the Control or Even Combo players a chance to put up a fight.
I only know one thing for certain, and that's that I'm right lol :P
1 Druid, 2 Hunter, 3 Mage, 4 Paladin, 5 Priest, 6 Rogue, 7 Shaman, 8 Warlock, 9 Warrior; nine total classes, 9 - 1 = 8 others. Thus are my counting skills presented, I declare that victory has been achieved: I plant my flag and busy myself with establishing a new kingdom on the ruins of Wrong-Town.

Druid in wild will probably run free for a long time because the audience simply doesn't care about wild. Frankly, it's meant to be the place where broken shit happens. Trying to balance wild would be like Team 5 cutting off their fingers just to save their thumb. The entirety of standard will suffer and hearthstone will suffer because of fearful devs releasing boring safe cards with wild in mind. Balancing wild makes no sense and it takes away resources, it's also the entire reason standard exists. If you hate wild, then play standard. This isn't team 5 trying to bully you into buying new expansions. This is just what happens when there are so many cards in a format.
Now on the flipside, if druid is completely broken this expansion in standard, you should expect nerfs at the end of the month.
Before witchwood was released, everyone was saying this about warlock. If it's too powerful, it will be nerfed. Otherwise, there will be another enemy that people will begin whining about.

Pray Lord team5 wont give Druid any good board wipe. Otherwise Druid will be the best class for Control, Midrange, Aggro and Combo archtype lol

Well, seems like druid will still be the most versatile and powerful class this expansion.
