i have a ps4, switch, 3ds, so it's a little hard i spent soo much time in hearthstone, i hate auto decks and agroo, i like have fun and challenge my self with more elaborate decks, in this way it's realy annoyng takes legends.
Take it from someone who has reached legend a couple of times- it isn't worth the time and effort unless you're playing a really fun deck.
Some of my clims were fun, because I used cool and fun original decks like Dead mans Hand warrior in KOFT... But I have to admit other climbs were just for the rank using aggro or netdecks, and that was a waste of my free time that nowadays, when looking backwards, I truly regret.
I play the game for almost 4 years. I spent at least 3 years reaching rank 5 then chilling.
Last year I started to grind a little more and managed to reach legend almost every season.
The past 4 months I started a new job and I can't hit legend consistently, but every now and then I still get it.
I'd say that, before the rank floors, hitting legend was a bit harder than simply having 'enough time to grind'. Nowadays it's way more reachable for everyone.
I reached legend this month playing the egg hunter thing And recruit warrior rn rank 2551 my highest and only other time in legend was with quest priest rank like 130 ish before the spiteful summoner nerf
I've hit Legend every time i've played ladder since finding out about Hearthstone in May, 2017. I usually reach legend in 2-3 days, and with the new ladder rules it's very possible to hit it in a day. I'm F2P, with the only disclaimer being that I bought that $5 welcome package.
If anyone wants to try to hit Legend for their first time or needs some advice on getting back, I am more than willing to help you! We can play any class you want and we can play some fun yet strong decks. :D
Hit it once with tryharding. But now i'm into wacky and funny decks which obviously dont bring me to legend but most time to rank 5 so i can grab my dust :D
Yes, this past March. I have a bunch of kids, so I'll likely never get it again. But I had a vasectomy and had some time off my feet, so I got to grind tempo mage to the top. And as far as card back, I choose to rock the Pandaria card back to feel a false sense of superiority.
Never have, probably never will. I like playing weird decks, not ones that have the highest win rate. On top of that, I am short on time. My one solid attempt when I didn't have much to do that month (relatively) was a rank 5 month. I normally float in the 10-15's.
Nope. I can't even reach rank 10 (farthest I ever got was 12). I mostly play tier 2 or 3 decks since I hate playing aggro, which is a problem since aggro decks make it easy to climb the ladder. The last aggro decks I played were Zoolock before the Witchwood expansion, and Even Paladin before it got nerfed. Since then I've been fucking around with control decks, a play style I find more satisfying. Reaching legend remains a goal at the back of my mind, though.
Nope... I've got to rank 13 before, I'm not a fan of grinding up the ladder. If I never lost a star, then I might but then ladder would just be a joke. I'm happy in constructed.
I never have enough time I usually finish between Rank 5 and 1.
The grind from 5 to Legend is even longer than the grind to Rank 5.
Blizzard doesn't care about me reaching Legend, so I don't really care either, im not gonna get rewarded properly for all that time spent. Maybe a Gold Legendary and a Gold pack would be nice.
nope. Hit rank 2 several times but then always get stuck.
I switch decks too much. After 10 games with one deck i get bored
This is the whole point of reaching Legend. This sums it up. I read all of these posts and I hear all of the people saying they don't have the time, it's too much of a grind. If you stick with that 1 deck that gets you up to Rank 1 you usually can go all the way. Just like any other Tier rank, you're going to face Legendary players at some point, and they will play those gimmick decks. It really sucks up to that point. It's hard to stick with that 1 deck, since you start to face those bad match ups and think that switching is going to help. But you need to just keep on grinding. Since they changed it so that you only go back 4 ranks, anyone can now do it by starting at Rank 5. It's much easier. Just grab that 1 deck that you're good with and grind up to 1. Then wait until you start getting those legend players. And mulligan hard for those 1 drops. I recommend playing aggro, with wide boards. The only thing that can stop you is Control, and they will get bad draws more than you.
i cant reach rank 5...
i will never reach legend ;-;
Favorite Cards: 1. Lord Jaraxxus | 2. Malygos| 3. Edwin VanCleef | 4. Zephrys the Great| 5. Deathwing
Reached legend 3 times. Most of the time I just go for dad legend though.

Wish i could push legend my highest rank was 10 during ungoro, kft meta ruined all my fun and have only reached 15 and under since then

The third option that you haven't listed. No and I don't care to.
Legend is pretty meaningless in this game it often comes down to time available to play outside of card back once off there is no real reward.
Hit it just now with a fun off meta deck so the grind wasn't bad. Rank 5 to legend in roughly 70 games. Feels good man.

Love everyone saying they could they just don't because of 'the grind'. Lol most classic excuse someone uses when they just aren't good enough.
Believe it or not, some people just play for fun.
