This is sort of a “salt” in some narrow minded way, but more of a feeling of frustration. Why do people ignore friend requests so much? For example, if you LOSE a match, and your opponent sends you a request, why ignore it? I doubt people take the effort to add you just to say “haha you lost”! I add after winning if the opponent played an actual creative deck or the match was close or something. I used to get adds all the time, but lately, since this expansion, it’s like 1/20. Even if I lose, same applies: cool deck, close game, add.
In my case, contact list is already full. In most cases, people just try to prevent having the classical ''F*#k you!'' or the infamous ''Kys for playing X, Y, Z''
I do. I actu?lly Nevers experienced babyrage-add-friend-insult-your-mom-unfriend players. Most often happened when I play deck with weird/wacky/meme card in it (win or lose). We often rematch and that's it.
I've had far more crappy experiences adding people than positive ones (even in games where both me and my opponent were playing "bad" meme decks). Even when people aren't raging assholes it's not like I form lasting friendships with them because of one game of Hearthstone.
I've found Twitch chat on some of the smaller HS streams a much better way to find people to add.
Trying to figure out, by the "excepts" in the title ,if you mean "expects" or " accepts" ,but I guess both apply either way .
I would argue that it would mean the exact opposite. If you were excepting a friend request, that would mean you weren't including it, implying a rejection. So the sentence would say that nobody rejects friend requests.
On the topic, I don't blame them. I get too many ragers. So unless someone played a hilarious game against me or was playing a unique deck, I'm unwilling to add them. Sometimes people add me because I play off-meta decks and they like to talk about it, but more often they're just salty because their T1 deck didn't win.
I accept them now. If they are salt friend requests I start copy and pasting lyrics to a salt parody I made to Single Ladies. If they aren't salty I can chat people up.
On the topic ,I accepted a friend request once, for the first time ,just to be spammed with verbal harrassement ,because they lost the game ,and ever since I spare myself that pleasure. My friends list only contains rl friends ,sort list, but essential
I doubt people take the effort to add you just to say “haha you lost”!
That actually happens a lot unfortunately. It's usually the emote spammers that do it, so I ignore their friend requests now unless I want a good laugh.

This. I've never had a normal reply. After 25+ of these kind of messages, I stopped accepting friend requests. Some of them kept on spamming me with every shit word you can think of.
Speaking from experience who sadly sent some friend requests and who accepted friend requests. Those conversations rarley go well. So i try to avoid them.
Having friends in HS can be sometimes useful. You can practice some decks against each others, you can play some fun decks and also there is the 80g quest.
People just ignore friend requests because they don't want to receive insults in msgs.
I dont think its a issue if they except the friend request, its if they accept it or not.
Ill only accept it if it was actually a well played game by both players and not playing a degenerate deck and emote spamming. Those players are always the ones that want to talk shit and waste your time.
Someone must be accepting them, I've got a full boat - no real chat happens, but it's good for 80g now and then, and I usually have someone to spectate. I admit though, I rage-add a lot, so most of my list comes from delayed accepters, after I've forgotten who they are and why I was irritated, haha.
I accept everyone. At worst you get some kid screaming at you for 10 seconds. It only happens to me about 1/4 of the time. You can get rewarded by 80g and other things. Just yesterday I accepted an odd paladin who counter queued me with face mage in wild. He offered to concede me up to legend (I respectfully declined) and we had a nice chat about druid lists and the wild VS report
I accept people who weren't spamming emotes and doing other rude things during the game. I do want to be close to 200 mostly active friends on all three servers, as it just boosts your gold opportunities, and I want to reciprocate that (I add those who quest me to favorites with a friend note that I owe them one or more, and when I get the rare friend quest, favor those folks first). But I deliberately avoid rewarding those types of rude/spammy/potential trolls as my minor sort of 'natural selection' pressure on the environment.
But I tend not to send invites when I am going to continue to play (unless it was an extraordinary game, regardless who won). This is because I dont want the distraction of intros. etc. during my next game. So I usually wait to send an invite right before logging off, or taking a break, or switching servers.
But definitely, I delay accepting requests if I am playing, and outright reject anyone who fits the profile above. I only want to collaborate with good sports and mature players.

Whats the deal?

"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"Is your friendlist full?
Otherwise, yes, it happens rarely to me too, and when they do accept, it is often too late.

I checked. I do house keeping every month and remove fr Ends who have been inactive for a few months.

I’m waiting for Lyra Silvertongue to chime in.
On a side note, why limit us to 200 friends? Come on, Blizzard...
