100% on board with this. I can go 10 matches in a row without seeing an early Taunt. But as soon as I try a new deck of my own based around minions.. BAM, here's a few Tar Creepers for you.
Well if I were to make a guess, I would first need to guess what would be involved with the next expansion. Based on the image we had I would guess it has to do with the Ethereal.
The clue Blizzard gave:
Anyway because of that it would have to be something based on arcane artifacts or/as well as treasure hunting. So if I was to guess it would be:
Recharge (X) - If you have any X reminding mana at the end of your turn, active this keyword. (Example: Recharge (1) - Draw a card)
Last time I predicted some good cards for Warrior, esp Taunt Warrior. Great taunt cards for Taunt Warrior arrived (plus excellent Warrior cards.) But the taunt cards weren't Warrior cards. I predict great Warrior cards this time, and a meteoric rise for Warrior - not nec control Warrior, though.
Kicker in HS would be quite interesting, but it's kind of a variation of the Choose One mechanic for Druid. It could be kind of confusing to have it added to other classes.
Well, I'm grateful we got Witchwood, don't get me wrong. But after showing us a glimpse of what was planned before they decided on whichwood, Murder on the Gilneas Express, I wish we got THAT set first. I love those type of themed stories especially in gaming. Nothing like a good murder mystery.
That said, I can hope we get that expansion sometime down the line. We may not get Gilneas Express this year, but anything's a possibility for next year.
As for next expansion, I'm still saying Pirates are do for an expansion. Brotherhood of Booty Bay was tossed around as an idea a while back and I wouldn't mind if this was a thing. I love pirates as a theme as well, just for Pete's sake, don't make them aggro. Don't think that's too much to ask for.
I don't know if they will put a new mechanic because the 2nd expansions are, usually, more "relaxed" than the first and the last.
Now... I'd like to see some 'table requirement' mechanic. And yes, this alredy exists in the game (Lone Champion or Druid of the Fang), but, in my imagination, this would go to more than just Battlecries. Deathrattles, ends and starts of turns, after attack... The nearest example of this is Anima Golem, but it's terrible. With battlecries we can add sacrifices to do something big (Yugi-oh way of life).
More mechanics that we will never see in Hearthstone because they are to hard to balance: 'Give your hero X'. Basically, passives for you. They could be for the rest of the game or temporary. Example: Mage legendary: Next turn, give your hero +1 spell damage. (Yup, I know Valeera the Hollow exists.)
And something similar... Locations? Fields? Well... The aura that effects everything until it's changed or neutralized and it's not from a minion. No need to explain.
Last one: The return of Inspire. Because something like Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater are now in the game and this time they could see some play.
(Sorry if I made an error in the text. English is not my native language.)
Something with Battlecry: Silence your opponent's weapon. I am sick and tired of seeing Kingsbane stink up the game, and I am more than happy with seeing a card that punishes players for overcommiting to a strategy.
I sacrifice my 2 drop and 3 drop, then special summon my 5 drop ultra legendary (black rarity) from the deck in the attack position. And i also activate the special effect of this minion!

Do I dare predict that a new mechanic in the next expansion will be the ability to control what you put on top of your deck?
What do you think might be coming next?
and last but not least xyz
Assembling contraptions
A new keyword that allows minions to ignore taunt (I'll call it Infiltrate).
No basis on this, just something I want bwahaha.
Nature is the Day.
Man is the Sun.
Woman is the Moon.
The Stone is the Sky.
The Art is the Way.

XYZ Summon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Achieved Legend: S49-Even Paladin, S58 (Wild)- Odd Rouge + Even Shaman

A keyword like Kicker in MTG
Kicker X: Spend X extra mana when playing this to gain a certain effect
or something like Warp in Eternal
Warp: you can see this card and play it as if it were in your hand while on top of your deck
I would also love both mechanics in HS

Flying might be cool.
I'm not sure what to call this keyword, but it's a really cool one
"When you draw this, add another copy to your hand"Cards with this keyword would typically be understatted or have a downside such as a 5/5/4 or 2 mana deal 2 damageEdit: hold on there's more potential here
"When you draw this, do something"
The example above would be "Keyword: add a copy of this card to your hand"
Critical mechanic chance to do boosted effect or maybe do negative effect (critical fail).

Always look on the random side of life.
Frozen Throne expansion was announced in July 6, 2017 which was on Thursday, so I presume the next expasion will be announced on July 5 this year.
Something with Battlecry: Silence your opponent's weapon. I am sick and tired of seeing Kingsbane stink up the game, and I am more than happy with seeing a card that punishes players for overcommiting to a strategy.
Next expansion will be Dalaran or something like that. Probably "cast a random spell" will become a keyword, because LULZ.
Ibn Fahd.
I just hope it's an adventure so I can easily and cheaply collect all the cards and not have to play catch up after it launches
