I built Shudderwock and started to have fun with the usual deck built around him. I lost my first few games while trying to master the deck (I was at ranking 5, so not caring too much about losing). Then I started to win ... and something strange was happening several times, while approaching the big bangs turns the opponent simply conceded ... I one case I was even still missing Shudderwock ... is this something that happens also to you? do you concede when the game starts to be long and the enemy is playing such deck? Just curious
Notes: Edited title to match the content of the OP
If you have all the key battlecries played and you play shudderwock I resign. I don't have time for that shit, take your jaws and claws and bite and catch somebody else.
That card is one of the worst designed cards ever. Close to Yogg-Saron level. I concede to it too. It hurts that a silly mechanic like this counters the control decks.
The reason is that standard doesnt have Dirty Rat, in wild there is more fun, but still control decks as you say are "loosing to something silly" as Kingsbane Rogue
Shudderwock is just the "play removal until I draw win condition" deck of the witchwood meta. It was Exodia Mage last time. These decks are the main reasons people play aggro; If your'e playing a deck against shudderwok and aren't in a position to win by the time he comes out. theres no point in sticking around.
It's not right that the Shudderwock keeps going independent of the rope timer. That being said, my Priest control deck has a 50% win rate against it if I can psychic scream a bunch of garbage back into the opponents deck so he can never draw it.
I just concede to shudderwock cause I mostly play slower decks that can't beat it. Not worth wasting 10 minutes of your time imo.
This. I'm not naive enough to think that my Big Spell Mage is ever going to get home against it, even if it's buried at the very bottom of your deck. I generally concede against Shaman as soon as I don't see Genn pop up to discount the hero power.
Because we don't have time to waste in your endless cards effects or your constant spamming when we dont play a smorc deck. Oh yeah you don't do such a thing, is only the other 99.99% of the playerbase :P
I'm not playing much these days but back when Jade Druid was most popular deck in the meta i would concede as soon as realizing what deck it was. Playing against same deck game after game is boring in usually dynamic game, so i just figured out a way to get around it. Perhaps someone is doing the same thing now.
I play slow decks and not only do I not concede, I be sure to use every bit of rope every single turn for you Shudderwock players for playing such an idiotic deck.
Why play the game when you’re only hope of winning is the opponent disconnecting? Any control deck has next to nothing win rate against it. It’s not a rage-quit. It’s just a simple realization that you can’t win. No different than aggro insta conceding when Reno was played and the game is hopeless.
Sorry to ruin your fun of watching shudder do his thing.

The LAST thing I'm going to allow is a free win to someone playing a dbag deck. I'd rather lose after a 20 minute match than give them a win for nothing.
I would only concede once they've played shudder (assuming they've played the combo as well). Unless they get memeshit like Prince Keleseth on turn 2 the deck isn't hard to beat. It's practically a free win when i'm playing combo priest.
When i'm playing casual for fun with a memeish deck I might concede to something like shudder or big spell mage because it's brainless to play and play against. Just stall and removal every turn until you draw your win condition. It's fine to ladder against with decks prepared for it but holy shit why would you play that in casual.

ALL OTK decks are meant to counter control decks in general. I have no clue why so many people try to pin it on one or two decks in particular or act like the archtype is breaking the game.

HS addicted
NO, because the win condition is dependent on RNG, I stopped playing this deck due to the uncertainty.

The goal of all life is death.

People realy overrated shuderwock ....
its a hard Deck to play and win with it and has 0 Chance against Recruit Hunters .
But has auto win against slow Controls deck .
I wish this meta was less rock paper scissors

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

Life is too short for Shudderwock (& bad beer, bad wine, cheap scotch etc.)
Oblivion!

I concede just because Shudderwock is boring to play against. I don't think this deck is OP or cancer.
