So, i did just log in to the Americas server in the first time - i'm playing since tgt, on Eu - to open another golden pack (i know, i know...).
While i was here i thought the free arena would also be nice and stuff, so i gave it a try, and i've got 12 wins in the first time, since i'm playing (not a huge arena player - obviously). The run was soooo easy, i cant even compare. Misplays over obvious misplays, 30-0 health wins, no brainers all over the run.
On the 11th, i had a player, who had the board leverage, and instead of trading, went to my face, with REALLY far from giving the final blow, and let me in the obvious lethal range. And i won. After the 10th win. I was a bit drunk then, and just couldnt find my jaw.
So the point, is there this much of a skill difference between Americas and EU? Is it just new players who had a free ticket? (and somehow made it to, like 10 and 11 wins??) I had the impresson before that the EU server is harder (forums, streamers, etc.), but didnt expected it at this level.
I think people will think whatever their preconceived notions of which region has "better" players are. I promise you, the misplays you noticed on NA happen on EU too, and you got 12 wins because you had a good deck and were fortunate, just like any 12 win run. The only difference between regions is number of players. There might be MORE skilled players on one server by number, but the top NA and top EU players are basically indistinguishable in terms of skill, and the rest will vary between awful players, decent players, and good players.
I can tell you from personal experience that EU is harder than NA. I used to play on the NA server a few months ago and even at rank 1-2 they make huge misplays. I'm not biased because I'm from EU, this is the truth. You can't compare rank 1-2 EU with rank 1-2 NA and tbh most people think the more "skilled" players are on EU server. It shouldn't be called skill in a RNG game tho, it's about the obvious misplays most of the NA players make.
"For players on their first few Arena runs, matchmaking is intentionally altered to provide an easier transition into the game mode.[18] For matchmaking purposes, the player's win/loss ratio is considered to have one more loss than it actually does, thus matching them against what should on average be easier opponents.[18]The system will also prefer to match such players against each other.[18]
The exact number of games required to be eligible for this adjustment is something that the developers are "still tweaking a little", but as of April 2016 is "in the realm of 2 or 3 runs."[18] Once the player has exceeded this number of runs, they are matched purely on their win/loss ratio, with their number of previous runs no longer affecting their matchmaking.[18]"
In one of his recent videos, Kripp said that arena in EU is the easiest, followed by NA and the hardest should be on Asia. I am not an arena player, so can't either confirm or deny that statement.

After 10 arena runs on EU and 5 on both Americas and Asia my experience has been the same as the OPs. I understand the sample size is not that big, but on Americas players tend to do some weird plays even after 8+ wins.
You can't tell what's the easiest/hardest unless you have a ton of data from thousands of players. Everyone's experience will be biased. I can tell you if I had more success in one region or the other but that won't answer your question.
You could have the perfect deck or the perfect counter for the opponent's deck, maybe you just draw better, maybe your opponent is drunk or he is sleepy etc etc
The other day I lost a really good arena at 7-3 cause I started a League of Legends game meanwhile and completely forgot about the arena game lul
Just to say... You never know what's happening to the other side of the screen xD
Catn say for Arena but for ladder apparently EU is harder. Personal experience and opinions of pros. Recently Fr0zen said so himself due to EU having many tryhard players
If you honestly believe there's this big gap between EU and Americas, that is so cute.
This is so true. We are not more skilled than our American brothers, just better looking XD
First. I hate when people make threads like this, because they tend to divide this awesome community, and that isn't a good thing for this forum. And second, no jainaishot, you aren't. Do you know why? Because even the 72 years old all-mighty 45th President of the United States, Mr. Donald J. Trump, is probably much better looking than most people from Europe. Jesus Christ, he is so handsome...

I mean, that is also an unfair comparison. You can't just compare the best looking american to an average looking European.

Hehe, yeah, it is unfair. :P
Sorry to every Trump fan out there, I'm one too, but couldn't resist to make that post. :P :P :P
Back to the topic, again, this kind of threads are not good for Hearthpwn, so I think it would be better if they weren't allowed, although that is just my opinion and I'm not a mod. :P
Well, I'll just say my first run on Asia (EU main), was an easy 12 win run as well, even though I never got one on EU or NA. I started the Asia server later than the others, and I didn't have the kind of luck I got on that Asia run ever on the other servers, so it might be some boost you get for like your first run ever...

Experiences?
In my admittedly limited arena experience, I always do better on NA than EU, and better on EU than Asia. The same for ladder.
But I only play free arena (which means everyone else is), and R10 - R20 on ladder so can't comment on higher ranks nor settled arena.
.
I think new players are matched against other new players in their first arena runs, so maybe this is the reason it was so easy.

DiamondDM13, take a look at tomduh7777 post:
From my experience, I do better at Arena in EU than NA. Could have a bit to do with the cards offered being better, hence better decks built.
You might have just been matched up with bad players/players after 2 losses that no longer care if they win?
I feel like I've slipped back into WoW.
Are we debating over whether the Alliance or Horde is better?
