I couldn't care less about actual deck archetypes and cards. What I want is a super flavorful set. Make ethereals their own tribe, gives us Kael'thas as a card, and add some nether drakes into the mix! So many good memories from netherstorm. (yes it wild be netherstorm related)
I would love to see a "pierce" mechanic. For example attacker has a 5/5 minion with "pierce", kills the 3/4 taunt minion and the remaining damage goes to opponents face. - that would be probably too broken though and hard to balance around
I'd like to see a meta with less taunt and more end of turn effects for all classes.
A couple of new heroes, like Hagatha would be well received.
Another thing i'd like to see would be a hero/weapon silence. On heroes it would remove armor, extra health (priest amara battlecry for example), maybe a "can't use hero power for next 1-2 turns". On weapons it would just negate the weapon's extra mechanic without destroying it.
As far as themes are concerned, I'd love a zandalari/amani/gurubashi troll theme, or something inspired from WoW's battlegrounds/arenas (would match BfA 100%)
I think pierce mechanic would be too strong in this game as there is no penalty for going face. Also, aggro/midrange decks are strong enough.
Knuckles is a essentially an implementation of this except better albeit with meh stats. Hitting a minion and then dealing that same damage to face stronger than just putting overkill damage on face. If he saw no play whatsoever, I can't imagine that the minion that OP posted would be a problem.
I would love to see something troll and beast themed. We are also in sore need of revisiting mechs. The mechs we have no are mostly aggro oriented and limited to Mech Mage in wild.
Other things I'd love to see:
Rogue, druid, or hunter to get an actual board clear.
Rogue or hunter to get an actual heal.
Neither lock, priest, or mage to get board clears OR heals. Seriously they don't need anymore.
Mage to NOT get more burn. In wild they already deal over 40 damage from spells alone.
Rogue to actually get cohesive late game control threats and tools instead of having to go tempo/combo all of the time.
Pally to be given better midrange or control tools to steer them away from always having a top tier aggro deck.
Some form of soft-counter for combo/otk (so that it can be countered some of the time, but doesn't instantly lose them the game 100% of the time).
An anti armor card. We already have Alexstraza that counters health gain essentially, id like to see something that can stop the ridiculous armor gain some classes can get.
Card draw for Hunter so that Dragon Hunter (or control Hunter in general) can become a thing.
NO. Card draw for hunter regarding Dragon cards into your hand. Or "draw from your deck a dragon". Because creating general drawing cards could make face hunter too powerful.
There needs to be more value oriented cards to make decks like Odd Warrior competitive in the meta. Azalina Soulthief, Elise, Zola, Ysera etc are just not good enough anymore on their own.
