Based on the graphic, it looks to take place in the Netherstorm. So I'm guessing the set might be Tempest Keep themed, and I'm 99% sure Kael'thas will be in the set if so. Kinda like how Greymane was also such an iconic character, yet he hadn't shown up in Hearthstone until there was a Gilneas set. All the opportunities in the world to make Kael'thas a legendary so far, so they gotta be saving him for something special like this, yknow
I'd love if if the set were like "Escape from the Arcatraz", or something. That'd be really cool. A theme like that would give them the ability to design some cool prisoners for minions, especially the legendaries. I LOVE when they have a story idea like that and come up with cool characters to fit it, while also mixing in some memorable bosses. It'd work well with the single player content they've done so far too.
As for actual cards I hope for:
Some cool class-specific 1 or 2 drops that aren't stupidly broken. I'd like to see new Rogue, Priest, and Shaman 1-drops.
A new spell to freshen up Spell Hunter, or a secret with a new trigger like Dart Trap or Cat Trick to make the attack-triggered ones less obvious.
Good 2 or 4 cost cards for Hunter, especially if they synergize with secrets, for Genn Hunter.
An "Arcane Intellect" version of Tracking (3 Mana "Look at the top 3 cards of your deck, discard 1 and draw the other 2")
Dragon Paladin support?
Some sort of card that might make Archmage Arugal or Dollmaster Dorian more consistent, like putting specific cards on top of the deck.
Early game Odd-cost cards that'd work well with Baku Priest? Like a 1 mana minion with "Next turn your healing effects/hero power do damage instead" card?
A counter to armor of some sort (Control/Combo Druids are my least favorite thing in the game at the moment. Especially in wild.)
Seriously NO ARMOR GAIN FOR DRUIDS PLEASE. Druid got nearly 40-50 armor gain in just the past 2 sets, with Ferocious Howl (usually ~7 x 2), Branching Paths (usually 6 or 12 x 2), and Oaken Summons (6 x 2). Not to mention another 10 minimum from Malfurion and a single UI, and all those cards do other things in ADDITION to healing, and they don't even have to be hurt to get value.
The Nexus Storm! This is the Year of the Raven. Let's have the Ravenlord mix some stuff up.
How cool would it be to have a bunch of folks from all the other Blizzard games in a Hearthstone Expansion? New DK/Hero-Cards! Johanna as a Paladin, Li-Ming as Mage, Nazeebo as Shaman, perhaps Tassadar as the new Priest. The new Warrior could be Reinhardt, and Genji-Rogue. Xul as a new Warlock DK/Hero, and he'd replace all your demons (in hand, deck, and play) with random Necromancer summons of the same mana cost: Skeleton Warriors (taunt), Skeleton Mages (spell power), Blood Golems (lifesteal), and Fire Golems (when it attacks, it'd deal damage to adjacent minions) with stats which scale based on mana cost, but perhaps not necessarily X/X for X.
Let's say Tracer is a minion: 4-Mana 4/4 Rush, Inspire: return this card to your hand. Perhaps Zeratul gains stealth at the end of each turn. Sergeant Hammer is like a Demolisher, but bigger and better. Diablo would be a 10-drop with a massive battlecry, a new Old God, so that 10-mana random minions can miss.
Something that destroys armor. Druid might not be OP but seeing them get up to 70+ health just feels so bad. And could possibly be broken at some point.
I agrre that druid makes way too much armour - even more than warrior witch really pisses me off as a warriorplayer - but if there will be some kind of armourdestroyer then warrior will be in a even worse spot than it is ready...
just as a comparison. Warrior can make around 35 Armour in a single turn with a lot of downside because of bring it on.
Druid can make 32 armour without any downside at all in a single turn.
now the problem is simply druid here.
I hope as mentioned, that warrior will finally get some good cards. Cards that bring warrior back not only in standart but mostly in wild. Warrior got nerfed in the basic set the most of all classes and they need some good tools to shine again witch i really hope they will...
if it is tempo or control i don't care too much but both would be fine for me.
New crazy stuff ,like raising your mana crystal cap above 10 if your deck has more cards that cost 6+ ,or raising your deck size if your cards cost 4 or less ,things like that to excite new ways of deckbuilding, like even-odd did .
If they were going to do this it would have to be a whole new game mode. However, I think it would be cool to have something where you build a deck of about 45 cards, maybe have 1 or 2 smaller card sets a year for this mode only. Make them purchasable in a one-time purchase, similar to adventures, and then change up some mechanics for this mode as well. Example: allow for blocking attacking minions with your own minions, similar to MtG, etc. It would just be interesting in my opinion, and could make for a whole new type of competitive play as well. The special card sets for this mode would have the tools necessary for each class to play with the adapted mechanics while also trying to control the board and wear down their opponent. They could also ban some cards from normal sets as well to try and balance this new mode. Could be fun!
Even/Odd support cards for the classes that suck...
I.e. Shaman got the Eel and that deck is great. Let's get some support cards for Odd Warlock, Even Hunt, etc.
If warlock not had a busted hero power it would be possible.
No one will want to do a odd deck just to not take damage from the hero power and the deck is not weak. It is just weaker than other warlock variants because the actual upgrade sucks and draw 2 cards as HP would be busted.

A new card that makes an old card playable, like how Witching Hour made Hadronox playable

- Space Theme (based of the Year of the Raven image)
- More support for Tess
- Paladin to go in a more control-style way
- More interestiing deck building with tons of possibilities (like odd and even)
- More lore cards
- New interesting archetypes and card designs
-Unnerf YoggIf warlock not had a busted hero power it would be possible.

these threads always pop up prematurely, theres still a while to go yet but the front page is mobbed with them
