Just hit rank 5 from rank 16 in two days and I'm not even salty about the deck since it's just as OP as any other deck that gets to its win condition, but basically everyone who decides to play non-aggro decks is punished for keeping board control. Drop a couple Saronite's and Lifedrinker's, copy the Lifedrinker with Zola and play Shudderwock, GG, even if your hero is still at 30 health. Oh and Grumble somewhere in between. You cannot do a single thing against it due to the healing from the LD battlecry; even if you survive the first time they drop the Wock, it's literally infinite and just ridiculously stupid. I'm sure that's not how that interaction is supposed to be; it's not even RNG, just a 9 mana "win-the-game-if-you-used-battlecry-minions-this-game". Shame that this just goes overlooked.
Been playing from the Un’Goro and this deck is the worst to play against so far. Not interesting and hard to counter, though my win rate is not bad, at 50% approximately. The best counter play was to play Death Grip on turn 9 so far and still the Shudder.
mind posting your deck link? I've been playing a shudderwock shaman with middling success and I'd like to compare (you're probably just better at this than I am.)
And like B Kibler stated on Raaza AnduinDK : The only way to interact with those decks is aggro wich is also not something I am particularly happy about ( or something like that) .
The same old problem over and over again..... If Blizzard makes an OTK deck viable and right now the meta is slow enough for Shudderwock to be even very good, we have a problem.

Sorry you might have misunderstood my post, but I've been climbing with Recruit Hunter and been seeing many of them. It just baffles me how you can play around some things in the deck so well and still lose as soon as they drop the Shudderwock.
Yeah, it really sucks that in HS you are punished by playing control decks, and right now we don't even have tools to counter this type of decks. That's why we need strong aggro/midrange decks defining the meta, and why I hated that they nerfed Call to Arms.
Slower meta always means greedy combo decks raising, and I hate that shit.
The only problem is the lack of a dirty rat type card.
Shudderwock isnt really that good, just tier 3 by HSReplay and 48,7 win rate, but any control deck loses to combo decks. If you want to play a slower deck you must also be able to get punished, its just somethings that happens. Quest rogue should still do just the same against control and crushes Shudderwock. If no combo decks keeps control in check it wil just result in even more greede in control decks.
Also the Razakus priest was just way better because its combo was like get raza get anduin, ping until you win and raza on 5 was just so much heal

I definitely agree with you on combo decks keeping control decks in check, except a combo like Shudderwock is so anti-fun that it requires no thought rather than just letting the Lifedrinker battlecry trigger over and over again with absolutely zero counterplay. They should limit the chain interaction to a certain amount of triggers or something.
Ive never lost to shudderwok shaman by otk combo using malygos druid, druid is just way faster drawing the combo than shudderwok, with all the card draw it has.

Well, I think their main complaint is that a control deck has a very limited chance against Shudderwock, But I agree that it's not even the most powerful combo deck out there and most combo decks are pretty strong against a classic control deck.

This is what I mean. I actually had a Kingsbane Rogue game against Shudderwock and had the game won for like 6-7 turns, but it has neverending healing. I don't think it needs to be nerfed, a simple tune would be enough. Never played Malygos Druid, but I can assure you that it at least requires a bit more of skill, it definitely should not be as rewarding to play a 9 mana (could be 6 due to farsight) that heals you, deals face damage, and summons x amount of copies of Shudderwock and later being able to repeat it for 1 mana every turn thereafter.
I would like to add a third point - shaman doesn't have the nice arsenal of tools in dealing with minions, which (highlander) priest had back in the days.

Mind sharing your deck? I've lost the last 3 times against shudder with malygos druid, they inevitably draw their "combo" before mine. Using hemet means they guaranteed to get there faster.
Shudder is as bad as pre-nerf quest rogue in terms of lacking interactivity and polarizing match-ups. Unlike combo decks, they can just play cards necessary for shudderwock whenever they want. Combo decks have to make difficult choices on what pieces to keep and what to use to stay alive. Also, if a combo deck deals a lot of damage, but misses lethal- usually it's over for them. Shudderwock, in constrast, ensures the game is over for the opponent unless they can OTK them after they play shudderwock. It's basically a 9 mana card that gives you a one turn limit on the game, very stupid design.
lol all decks have a way to close the game before the wock right now just spam charge minions like Charged Devilsaur or Doomguard and unless the shamman just highrolled to heavens he's dead, DED. and even decks that don't rely on charge minions have better ways to close out the game because shamman has like 0 draw power and can't afford to run draw power in their battlecries (at least nothing thats not Sandbinder) because if they did, their on shudderwock would kill them by fatigue, and you can always try to burn their shudderwock which is actually easy.
Never undersand why everyone calls it OTK Shudderwock. This combo deck will mostly never kill you in one turn. It takes 2. (TTK)
To answer the OTK druid players saying they never lost to it: yeah obviously a Malygos OTK druid fyring before Shudderwock second turn combo will win xD OTK Vs TTK deck
And like B Kibler stated on Raaza AnduinDK : The only way to interact with those decks is aggro wich is also not something I am particularly happy about ( or something like that) .

Lol. The only aggro deck Odd Rogue either loses out the board to endless Volcano,Lightning Storm and Hagatha or cant pass through Taunts and Glacial Shard. Hahahahahhaha

Shamans only have 2x Lightning Storm, 2x Volcano, 2x Hex and Hagatha the Witch, while (highlander) priest had Potion of Madness, Pint-Size Potion + Shadow Word: Horror, Dragonfire Potion.
+ the standard Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing Shadow Word: Pain, Shadow Word: Death, Spirit Lash, Shadow Visions (tutor for spells), Twilight Acolyte and Duskbreaker (more synergy with Netherspite Historian), Holy Nova (weak, but still worth a mention), Psychic Scream, Shadowreaper Anduin.
And yeah - imho shudder shaman isn't that problematic. It's pretty easy to counter.

I do not think so.
No. Because there needs to be more single player content in hearthstone. Before Shudderwock we just had Missions/Adventures.
