So is the first gold leg guaranteed after 10 or after 40 gold packs?
Maybe one, maybe the other, maybe never. We don’t know anything other than they don’t use the classic pack pity timer. They probably function identically to any other packs (ie first legendary in ten) but we have no way to know since nobody has opened two of them, let alone ten.
Golden packs have their own pity timer, so it's not shared with the Classic's one or others.
I never opened a golden pack. How oftenal are they released?
This is literally the second one ever. First was only for twitch prime. I'm sure someone tested for pity timer with the first, though!
Wow so i have a 10% chance in getting a legendary? Cause of pity timer for first 10 packs? Idk im bad at math
Again, we really don’t know how the pity timer works (if it does at all) for these.
Even if it works like normal, no you probably don’t have a ten percent chance. I believe the most commonwealth idea is that the odds are different based on how many packs of the type you opened since the last legendary. So each pack you open will have increased odds until you get a legendary. But I do not believe this is certain and even if it is true, how the odds increase over time is another matter to be determined.
No pitty timer. It is its own pack type. The only way to get them in the past was high level tourniment finishes rarely and a twitch prime promo last year, those had no pitty timer rules what so ever.

Huh, you got them for tournament finishes, too? That's sweet.
Only reason i know that is Hotform got one from winning a blizzcon tourniment ( not sure what year it was)
With Free Pack Day coming up next week, does anyone know if the golden pack shares pity timer with regular classic packs?
I wouldnt think so, but I could also see that it would since they share the same card pool and golden packs are only given out for promos.
Any insight on this?

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

I am pretty sure "their own" means "no" in this case.
