As some of you may already know, patch 11.2 brought us a plethora of new bugs.
Facelessed demons no longer resurrect with Gul'Dan. Hotfixed by blizzard
Minions with can't be targeted by spells or hero power can no longer be adapted via battlecry, active effects, etc. Hotfixed by blizzard
Cards generated by minions who have been transformed now state "generated by (new minion)" when played. Eg, "generated by sheep"
Glinda doesn't give echo to choose one cards
Shudderwok skips battlecries of silenced minions if they are still on the battlefield
Transforming all elementals played last turn disables elemental synergy
Transforming a non-elemental played last turn into an elemental enables elemental synergy (only works if transformed the turn after it's played)
Some of these are fringe interactions that will never show up at HCT or are purely aesthetic but others are fairly consequential. Namely, Cubelocks might find themselves 5 off lethal in otherwise won games; Any hunters running Rexxar or other decks that run fledgling will miss adapts; Shudderwok shamans might be forced to waste turns killing off a silenced minion before unleashing their combo; any elemental decks such as some even or shudderwok shaman can have their synergy turned off with a polymorph investment
If participants of the tournament had know about these issues, there's a good chance they would not have submitted these decks in the first place. For those of you who do not know, participants need to submit their lineup prior to patch 11.2 and are not allowed to change them. According to this tweet, Blizzard has announced that they will not make any exceptions due to patch 11.2 and players will be forced to play their previously submitted decks, no matter how the patch may have affected them
But wait, there's more! One of the competitors, Fr0zen, has submitted a quest druid with Faceless Manipulators. As part of the "consistency changes" in 11.2, Faceless manipulator no longer procs the druid quest when copying a 5 or more attack minion. This is a straight up nerf to the deck yet Fr0zen is still going to be forced to play it for HCT Seoul. If he had known about this totally unannounced change, he may have brought the Twig variant of Malygos druid or a quest build that doesn't rely heavily on facelesses. He may have brought a completely different lineup altogether
This tournament is no small deal either. You need to gather HCT points, often by participating in tournaments all around the world with your own money or grinding hours on ladder for high legend finishes. Only if you have enough points you've earned a spot in the big events like HCT Seoul... only to get screwed over by a single buggy patch. What a massive waste of time and money for all players involved. This is NOT okay

These changes make no sense.
These are not "changes", but bugs. And yes, it sucks for Frozen and everyone who submitted a "nerfed" deck.

Frozen (and anyone else who has a faceless manipulator in their deck for that matter) should be able to atleast change that deck, that would be the most fair way of doing it.
The most hilarious thing about it is the fact that they've always held off balance patches because of the tournaments, and now they randomly release a patch that straight up decimates one deck, and they don't allow the competitors to change their line-up. Good job, Blizzard!!
If Blizz let people change their deck, then they get an advantage when picking by knowing what everyone else picked. If they don't, then that guy gets shafted. It's just bad design making people submit decklists before a patch with some balancing changes.
Simple solution, let everyone change their lineup. Fresh decks for everyone means they still won't know what the others picked
Would someone explain the Shudderwock nerf with examples? I don’t think I got it. Thank you
If you played saronite chain gang and the enemy player silences that taunt, the next turn you play shudderwock he doesn't copy saronites battlecry if that silence minion is still on the board
Blizz have now confirmed that players at HCT will play under the new patch rules, and will not get a chance to change their decks. The guys who brought Jungle Giants / Faceless Manipulator just have to suck it up.
Terrible look for Blizzard. The community is going crazy about it, and I'm not surprised.
After considering recent feedback and significant discussion, we felt that Quest Druid decks were most directly affected in terms of viability as a result of the changes that were introduced with Update 11.2. As such, we allowed players that brought Quest Druid an opportunity to resubmit their deck.
Note from blizzard on the quest druids change at HCT Seoul.
I still want my dust. This is not the same Tess I paid for, thus We should all be refunded. It’s like ordering a coke and then getting a Pepsi.
Come on, Coke and Pepsi are basically the same thing ! The difference only matters in less than 1% of cases. You're just being greedy wanting a refund ! Please enjoy your Pepsi and stop whining.
was looking for it.. why is the change in faceless manipulator adds to consistancy? in my opinion it takes consistancy away from it.., also the transformed bug is really stupid, and makes no sense I guess it has to do with the change to "yoggify" tess.
faceless should give a refund or they should revent the change it makes 0 sense.
The fix is to allow effected players to change deckslists. But i'm not sure why that isn't an option. (Obviously too late now, but they had a number of days to allow it.)
So if they're allowing players to change decklists for the tournament (which is kind of a big deal), then we should be getting a refund for jungle giants, since the deck is nerfed. Why else would they allow players in a tournament to change a decklist?

A: Time to roll out the new patch that should fix a few bugs. Think it's gonna turn out well?
B: Of course it will
It didn't turn out well.
