Do you get sometimes wanted or useful golden cards in your chest? When i craft cards for a new deck, i wait for the beginning of the month, hope for a good or wanted card and craft only then new stuff.
Most of the time its golden garbage, but my best ones were 2 Mysterious Challenger in 3 months and after that i joined the contemptuous secret pala train.
My sad list of bad and unplayable rewards: Force of Nature, Bestial Wrath, Feign Death, Gladiators Longbow, Greater Arcane Missiles, 2x Coldarra Drakes, Biteweed, Patient Assassin, Charged Hammer, Tentacles of Arms, 2x Pit Lords.
almost always cards that i neither need (defined as any epic i don't have 2 copies of) nor want (defined as any epic i wouldn't mind having golden regardless of if i have 2 copies or not), but occasionally i get something nice.
my favorite being Dreadsteed when i was really wanting to try a Dreadlock deck, but wasn't sure if i really wanted to craft 2 of them. got the golden and crafted a second (non-golden) right after and went on to have some of the best time i've ever had in hearthstone with probably my favorite deck ever.
also have gotten 2 golden Shield Slams from monthly chests which are sweet even if i already had 2 normal copies, because the art and animation are great, and i love me some control warrior. not as precious to me, but in that vein i also have picked up a golden Brawl from a season chest (again, already had 2 copies, so not needed, but fine)
apart from that i've gotten a few cards i had one or none of, but nothing i really wanted for any reason other than to fill a hole in my collection, including tonight's Nightmare Amalgam (had 1 normal copy). mostly i get something i already have 2 normals of (and somehow, on a couple occasions, something i had 2 goldens of...looking at you, Spellbender) and don't have any real desire for a golden copy of though

My golden epic is always trash. Last two have been pit lord (or whatever that 5/6 that deals 5 damage to you is called) and arcane keysmith (a fine card but I don't like to play mage so trash to me). But hey, 400 dust is 400 dust so i'll take it.
This season I got a golden snowfury giant, and I do play overload shaman, so it's hard to decide whether to dust it. Usually it's something useless like blubber baron.
Keep it! Overload shaman is underrated with a very solid and flexible win condition. Plus, Spellstone onto golden giant means a board of golden giants! But if you already have an idea of how you want to use that 400 dust, dust away. I only keep golden cards if I use them and it's minion, and I know I'd keep snowfury giant.
