Hey so I have been playing hearthstone for many years and lately I have been noticing something. Paladins are everywhere! I find that even and odd paladins are ridiculously strong, anyone agree?
No. Definitely not. Have not been having problems with paladin. Do not think I have lost to odd paladin since the nerfs.
The vs report released today puts odd paladin as tier 1 at low ranks. And high tier 2 at legend so maybe my experience is not the norm. But the deck is so linear.... If you set up a strong board state they have no way to come back.
And just like people said before odd pally has no comebak mechanic if you get a little tempo on them you can easily take the game. Just remember to make sure they have 1 recruit at max on turn 5-6 it should be fine.
The fact that you think even paladin is strong right now really just proves you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Isn't there a forum rule against spam? Because that's exactly what this topic is right now.
So Paladins have been highly popular for a while now and I don’t think so much that it’s necessarily strong but rather it is quick. As Paladin, by turn 4 (usually not always) you can see how the game will go. I think it’s seen in high tier play because it’s so quick that it’s easy to rack in a lot of games and thus achieve a higher win rate overall.
But all it takes is a few strong board control moves and Paladin is toast.
whine whine paladin, whine whine warlock, whine whine ... (insert arbitrary class against which the OP just lost). Why would you even create such thread? Nothing constructive or debate worthy, just whining. There is a specialized thread for saltiness. Please go there the next time.

I wished "Pala is everywhere" for me. Odd Pala is highly overrated imo. Yesterday it was again one of my best matchups (75% winrate says my decktracker). Around the first hour I played against some Odd-Palas and I climbed very easily, but then: About 80% Control-Priest, Control-Warlock, Control-Mage, Control-Druid, Control-Shaman.... CONTROL EVERYWHERE! There are so much heal, amor, removals, aoes and taunts, taunts and even more taunts, that you have nearly to no chance when you play aggro against these decks. x_X
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.

First of all, even pally is not played at all since the nerfs. Secondly, although odd pally is strong, I do not think it causes paladin to be a detrimental force in the current meta. Also, since the nerfs have arrived, odd paladin has slowly become a weaker and weaker force, not by much, but it's certainly not an extremely high power-level deck, like even paladin used to be. I personally believe that the meta after the nerfs is one of the best and most balanced we have had in a very long time. Every class has at least one tier 2+ deck.
Even/Odd Paladins are really good because they can take full board control very quickly. By turn 2 odd paladin for example could have 4 1/1s already. By turn 3 they can buff them, and buff them again turn 4 and 5.
You have to bring the fight to them from the start; that means having a turn 1 play, and a turn 2 and a turn 3 to fully control the board. Odd paladin runs no removal except a couple weapons and Stonehill into Sunkeeper Tarim/Primordial Drake. They aim to make dudes and make more dudes. Even paladin has more removal and board presence with 2 drops including Drygulch Jailors. Same plan, maintain the board.
Since call to arms nerf, paladin has been relatively docile. Odd paladin is still good, but overall other decks have gotten more powerful and can rise to their level.

How is even pally good right now??

I've been playing Wild even Shaman and it annihilates odd paladin. Just play decks that counter it. Warriors have Whirlwind effects. You win.
