I was just playing a standard ranked game, and all of a sudden i see i legend rank 9052 playing against me? I am only rank 7 playing a spiteful druid deck, is it even possible for a rank 7 to meet someone of the legend tier?
With this said i lost to that player (it was a rogue) and lost my win streak :( is this reportable by any chance or is it possible?
That's how it works. The more a dumpster legend player loses the lower they will play against other legend players. If they continue to lose they will start playing non legend players and keep falling down the ladder of who they will be matched up against if they keep losing. A LOT of people once they hit legend just meme so they don't care about wins and losses anymore so this is nothing new or out of the ordinary.
In April I made it to legend just before Witchwood came out. Then Witchwood came out and I played around with a bunch of odd/even decks (in ranked because casual feels pointless to me). Towards the end, yes, I was playing against rank 6-7 players consistently lol. Felt bad for me =P.
There's nothing to report. They're just players that lost a bunch and might be more tilted than you are lol.

I'm usually excited to be paired against a dumpster legends because they're playing janky brews a lot of the time. Anyway you face legend players on ladder all the time, does it really matter if they've already hit legend or they're still at rank 7? You might get paired against Firebat at rank 7 or a dumpster legend messing around with a bad deck, which would you prefer?
thing is ppl cant downrank from Legend if they did those 10k legend players would be at rank 5 cause thats exactly how the game sees them, inspite of the fact they are at Legend, they are just bad players that just grinded 8 hours a day to reach Legend or they just ran fun meme decks after reaching Legend and thus falling so low in rank they start being matched up against their "real" rank as in rank 4 5 or 6 and below

Dumpster legend gets pitted against numbered players a lot. It all depends on how many people are online for the the matchmaking.
Im currently rank ~19000 and mostly play against rank 5.
See you on the other side...
"I am rank 7 and got matched against a legend player. Is it even possible for rank 7 to get matched against a legend player?"
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say yes. Yes it is.
