Also, if you can't deal with 2 words in a game, just press the squelch button on them?
In case you don't know, or you havent played this game before, Bming (saying thank you before winning a game) is done right before winning a game. I never said Greetings was bad, I and many others consider a simple Greetings at the start of the game to be good manners not only that it's simply a gesture of hello. However just when you are about to win a game (remember hearthstone is based around a large portion of luck) and you say "thank you" you are simply being a douche. There is no way around this. You won and yet you choose to BM despite no provocation being given.
Also Whining? Saying that to people simply because they present something that you are clearly looking at with glazed eyes, doesn't make them wrong.
you completely missed my point. If you can't handle 2 words, just squelch them beforehand as a precaution.
I never said you are wrong, but you are exaggerating something that isn't a big deal in any way. it's a game, swallow your delicate sensibilities and move on.
Threads like these make me do more BM than usual. It's very funny to see people go BabyRage over "Thank you.".
Whether or not you agree with OP, taking enjoyment in making people angry (be it online or not) is very sad. I pity you.
Nah, it's actually awesome. Mostly because people who actually get angry at online games in the first place deserve it. More so when they get angry at simple innocent one liners like "well played".
I say "Thank you" at the end of every game to literally thanks my opponent for the play time we shared. I don't like the "Well played" because for me 90% of the time the winner is decided by RNG and not by "good play" (which for me a good thing and a big part of why I play this game).
People (myself including) tend to interpret negatively every emote used in this game.
I BM the hell out of netdeckers after smacking them down with original content. You should feel bad losing with spiteful decks and tardlock. "Thank You" for wasting my time with this boring ass match.
Doesn't really matter though. There is no reason to care.

You do the jobs some of us aren't brave enough to do. Thankyou
While u say might be true i sense something odd here. If u just like me gets triggered this hard by emote BMing then why dont u use the Squelch option at the start of the match ? Thats what i do.
I smell something fishy here. U might have BMed too
My rule is to only bm if the other starts it. And I mean BM! I be roping every turn and spamming well played when they mess up, it's not pretty.
I hate it so much that I rather do it myself to teach them a lesson no matter how twisted and hypocritical it is...
LMAO I do that when they make a trite play (Ex cubelock doomguard or naturalize hydrawhatever) and act as if they done some great BUT I actually have answers in hand and still win. Leave the winning board up for a while and just repeat whatever stupid emote they used until they concede. I actually play this game for fun and make gimmicky decks. If you bm in some way because you played a OP card, you deserve to me made to feel like the idiot you are.
I could not imagine some idiot being that stupid if i appeared to play irl card games.
So lets be real here. You've had an average day, you hop into hearthstone ... maybe just to play some ranked, arena or perhaps you just like playing the solo adventures. So you decide, "hey, I'm going to play some ranked". The deck you have is average, after all you are a FTP and without throwing your wallet at the screen there are gonna be times where you have really good cheap decks and times where you have average expensive decks. TBH it's just how the meta swings.
However you hop into ranked after reset, you are rank 25 - 1 and you gonna start grinding back to 20- 15 - 10 - 5 - 1 and hey, maybe even Legend this week. So you play a game and you lose, sure you drew only your late game cards and sure out of the 10 cards that could help you back into the game (1/3rd of the deck) you didn't draw one of them, but 'hey' rng right.
So you may be wondering where this thread is going. Its simple. The fact is if you say "thank you" after a game, wherein the only thing that has occurred is a Greetings exchange at the start to signal the start of the game.
You are a sad sad person. This is a fact. You choose to be rude simply because statistically over 60% of the games played are decided by rng, but no, you decide "hey i'm going to ignore that fact and simply choose to be a douche". - This is a fact. Bming means you are a douche.
Now of course here come the "omg haha rekt" or "posting this is also sad lol ***" comments. Defending this sort of rude behavior is simply sad. You choose to BM because it makes you feel better that you won? Isn't winning enough? Its like going onto a battlefield wherein both sides have sustained 60% causalities and then walking to a person who is bleeding out (enemy) and then laughing at them while shooting them in the kneecaps. You aren't funny. You aren't gracious. You are not a decent person.
As we know personalities in video games can change, due to the anonymity that the games we play offer. However bming when you have already won, simply shows us your true face and that is that you are a bad person, and it is a reflection of your real life self.
You are the Bully. You are the Stalker. You are the criminal. You are the one that seeks satisfaction from other peoples sorrow, in whatever form that takes, you seek to use that and to harass.
Dear Hearthstone Community,
Don't be a Douche
Sincerely,
- DDA
PS: Just exercising my First Amendment here folks :)
Hey DDA, I want to ask you something? Do you hate yourself? Why do you assume that your opponent is a bully who wants to hurt you? Have you thought that maybe he said "Thank you" because before he met you, he lost all other matches because of RNG and you were probably his first win? And he was grateful for that. Maybe he saw you as a hero. Your bad RNG made him happy. Is it wrong to make people happy? Want to make them cry?
You want to know something? I once met a CubeLock who not only roped me every turn and emoted me. But after he beat me, he added me and started to insult me. You know what I did? I bought some packs and offered them as a gift to him. Why? Because I know he had no bad intentions, he only wanted to feel good because that's why he was playing HS, so i gave him something to feel good about.
Nobody is your enemy. People have better things to do with their life than to hurt you.

Have a good day!
Wow, that takes serious economic and emotional surplus! I don't think your solution is for everyone, but damn, good on you.
ehrr many people do honsestly thank the opponent for a game regardless of the outcome, that's sportsmanship, the real Bm comes with the greetings emote after the game is over.
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Sometimes I'll say "thank you" at the end of a game that I actually enjoyed playing. No "BM" intended.
There's really no psychology to it, I cannot fathom how these threads keep popping up. The squelch option exists for people who cannot cope.
"Greetings" -For greeting your opponent, glhf. Also used semi-bm for powerplays and letha which is fine.
"Well played"-For actually well played turns, but also "get out of my game" if you have a big advantage and lethal.
"Threaten"-"I don't like your deck" or "You got lucky there."
"Squelch"-for emote spammers who use them to distract.
That is usually how I use and interpret them anyway, and I think it is a fine addition to the game.

This game is supposed to be FUN, remember? If you don't have fun playing it, stop.
We live in a world where people can be hurt with positive words ..Strange times

OP, don’t be a snowflake. Problem solved.
Thank you.
