Threads like these make me do more BM than usual. It's very funny to see people go BabyRage over "Thank you.".
Whether or not you agree with OP, taking enjoyment in making people angry (be it online or not) is very sad. I pity you.
Nah, it's actually awesome. Mostly because people who actually get angry at online games in the first place deserve it. More so when they get angry at simple innocent one liners like "well played".
So you deserve to be punished for being more sensitive?
Yep.
Wow, next level bullshit right here. We all should learn how to live our lifes from you, annoying people to make them "stronger".
I always emote "well played" when someone dark pact's a lackey or a cube. Such skills must be acknowledged. Generally, I never BM other than that unless my opponent is doing it a lot and i end up turning it around and winning.
Why do you emote when someone plays a card combo? do you also emote when someone plays the coin to pull out a minion that would have come out the turn after?

...The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude to the problem.
What i noticed recently is, that after your enemy dies (mostly when they concede), the enemy hero gives some kind of last breath line (Rexxar has "Well fought. I concede." for example) to which "Thank you" or "Well played" feels like an appropriate response often times. Problem might be, you didnt hear what your hero said (or you just didnt pay attention to it), but your opponent did and he is "engaging in a conversation" while you hear only one side of it and think it is a BM. It might very well be a BM, but it might very well not.
"Well Played" seems like a more appropriate BM in my honest opinion, but that's only because I rarely play people who spam "Thank You". When it comes to a BM, you are right Sindi and everything you said here is fact.
babyrage the thread. Also I love how you went for the bullshit, "my first amendment" crap at the end of your wahhhhh post. Your freedom of speech is not protected when it comes to moderators or websites. No one has to listen to your crap or legally allow you to post it anywhere on the internet unless you specifically own the website. Let's just clear that up right now. People can emote however the fuck they like when they like. If it hurts your feelings then squelch them. Fuck off with the piss and moan fest. Grow some thicker skin you sensitive pansy. The sun's ultraviolet rays are more harmful to you than some kid emoting you in a card game. I doubt you go outside much though considering the post you made.
If you ever played a card game in real life with an actual live person sitting across from you...let me tell you that can be quite annoying and there is no squelch button because if you do that, you are probably getting arrested.
Some people talk too much and some people BM too much. Take solace that online games give you a mute option. I use it all the time.
Now only if you could right-click squelch your neighbors damned barking dog....hmm.
All other emotes are fine, however it must be noted that it is a situational thing. Depending on the rate of certain emotes like "wow" or "greetings" at the end could be considered as BM, but these cases rarely occur and are mostly only with people who want to spam as many emotes as possible after they secured a win.
And on that day, destoyerdaa7 was declared supreme arbiter of tone and behavior on ladder.

Nah, I actually just do it for the purpose of doing it. Being an Internet sociopath is fun, you should give it a try.

LMFAO
It's not player's fault this game has so much unbalanced garbage in it but it sure is odd when kids emote after standardized plays. I'm still amazed they gave lock literally a second life with 30 heal from 4 cards. I remember when playing warlock had risks lol.
I always thank my opponents after beating them if they were using a high tier net deck, and it feels great :D
Not always but thats typically only time I do. I think that's the proper way to be an asshole. Some people play tcg for fun but most just want to win matches. The method isnt important. Which is why spiteful is played so much.

I just think it's funny and think the combo is silly. Not really meant to insult the other player. I have to do something to entertain myself after playing cubelocks every other game. The different reactions are funny sometimes. I've had people spam emotes for the rest of the game because it must have upset them and i've had players just say 'thanks' and continue the game.
since the nerfs a lot of salty kids started playing the game again cause im seeing a lot but a LOT of ppl emoting something they didnt do before, cause u know only the more hardcore fans older fans stick with the game. kids comeback and start Wow every turn or Well Played from turn 3 onwards.
What OP said is basic description of every priest player ever. It doesn't matter why, but they will rope, they will spam emotes at you, they will heal your face when you are full hp or when they have lethal. For whatever reason priests are assholes. I guess it takes special kind of asshole to pick priest idk...

Well played...
Leeeeerooooyyy jeennnkinnssss
In live tournaments a cheeky stare/wink over to your opponent is not against the rules.
I would love to get to the HS world finals and stand up and shout "Greetings" before I pull a Leeroy out and win the tournament!! #Epic
Not that its ever going to happen :)
