Ok, I took Even pally and won 5 in a row. But as soon I was close to get 4th rank, I've met a Priest who killed me with 4 Mindblasts on turn 10. Isn't this luck?
I play wild and I stumble upon the same problem with my Renolock. I climbed for the first time to 11, then fell back to 13. Ladder is hard : I met a lot of cubelock, a bunch of Even Shamans, Odd Hunter and the likes, and the all mighty King Toggwaggle Druid.
Aggro decks are bad MU, all right, and RNG tricked me into hell more than once (three AOE against Palatokens and still losing). But I learned from my lost match-ups. Some basic plays, and some trickier. Maybe I'll reach ten before end of the month. I'm not in despair yet ;)
It sounds a bit like the meta has adapted to counter your particular choice of deck type whereas you have otherwise refused to do so in response and hence why you are stuck.
I am certain there are still Pirate Warrior players out there wondering just what the hell happened and why they are now stuck at rank 10 or so. Heh!
Yeah, just 'cause you lost it means bad luck, who ever lost a game of HS down to lack of skills themself? It's a card game, always an element of luck. You and 90% of this forum are the real problem with the HS community.
I don't know man, every time I play even paladin and my opponent has both defiles, both hellfires, Godfrey on Curve, and two lackeys with both pacts in the top 14 cards I can do nothing but yield to his incredibly superior play and display of skill and acumen for the game of SkillSto ... sorry, Hearthstone
Its better to take a break, clear your mind and forget all that frustation , after a while you could tech your deck accordingly your most common encounter. The main idea is to enjoy the game, its a game.
I went from rank 5 to legend in less than 50 games with Rush Warrior this season. You don't need to play a top deck to get there, you just have to play a deck that is good against the decks you are facing. I also find playing a tier 3+ deck can give you a real surprise factor because your opponent may not know how to play against you.
Its clearly a problem with you buddy... either you're playing while tilted which is not a good thing since you're not going to be focused completely on the game or you simply are piloting these decks wrong. Also switching decks isn't pointless since the possibility of counter cueing does exist to the rock paper scissors thing works in your favour. For me I just rotated between control warlock, Even paladin and quest rogue to get to legend day 3 this month you have to play it smart and not just complain about how unfair/stupid It is which I agree it is and that's why the nerfs had to happen so now its probably going to be much easier for people to only pilot one deck.
It really comes down to mulligan. Mulligan well in this meta, you win. Mulligan badly, you lose. If you play enough games you can try to string two or three decent mulligans together, and that's how you climb.
New season has started and it's absolutely the same. It's like you win 2-3 matches, then lose 4-5 and start it all over again.
I've achieved 80% WR with Taunt druid at the end of previous season but now it was just 2-8 run for me with same deck. Spent about an hour to win 3 matches with Control mage, to only lose 4 in a row then in like 15 minutes... The whole ladder climbing thing looks pointless.
You've got to stop switching decks. Many of the decks in the meta counter each other pretty well, as you've already stated, but if you get unlucky enough to run into the counter for one deck and then switch to another deck to run into that deck's counter it will be easy for you to become paranoid and think that your temporary losing streak is the new normal.
If you stick to one, maybe two decks, you are bound to run back into favorable match-ups again.
The ladder does take a while to climb now since they changed the system, climbing from 25-10 is a loong journey now compared to before.
Try not to think of legend, aim for the next bracket. Rank 20, Rank 15, Rank 10. It will take a while to get that high especially when you rise and fall. You'll get there, it will just take time.
I actually had a nice round on the weekend, played only a little and sailed up 3 ranks. Dunno but maybe this meta is starting to go easier on my deck. Although my draws were great. Too scared to hit the ladder again for the crushing reversal :)
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

But yeah. It's frustrating.

considering yourself semi-pro and then averaging at 30% W/R followed by this rant OMEGALUL

Yep this meta sucks.

Take a break.

I don't see any other semi pro players complaining?

It’s impossible. That is why NOBODY ever hits legend.

And play your favorite deck! Not just a netdeck!

This is exactly my ladder experience. I've started rank5 this month again and again I'm still there for 6 days already.
