I was just wondering, how do you guys usually play Hearthstone?
Do you guys fully focus on the game? Most of the time i play in windowed mode in a small window, with a stream/movie in the background (pic related), even my TV is on LOL. Also when i watch Thijs i have to mute him and i listen to music instead because he is the definition of cringe and i die a little every time i hear him, no offense tho. :D
I just run the game as it is - full screen. If I feel like it, I turn off the in-game music and let some of my own music play in the background, but that's about it.^^
I have Spotify with my rock/metal music list running in the background. When I play my turn I alt-tab and read Reddit or watch a muted stream HS related too.
Poor Thijs. I laugh so hard with most of his cringe moments like "And we build a wall", "WE HAVE BUILT A WALL", etc.

"Lesser, greater, middling, it's all the same. Proportions are negotiated, boundaries blurred. I'm not a pious hermit, I haven't done only good in my life. But if I'm to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all."
Usually I'll start a game, then my daughter will ask me for some juice or a snack. So I run downstairs real fast to get her a juice and/or snack, and by the time get back, I've missed my mulligan phase, so I'm stuck with a bunch of high-cost cards in my starting hand. As I'm playing, she'll invariably want to sit in my lap, so now I'm trying to do mental calculus to see if my Defile will clear my opponent's board while my daughter is spilling her Cheerios and juice all over my laptop. It's usually at this point that she'll start randomly touching the trackpad on my laptop in the middle of me trying to play Dark Pact on my Possessed Lackey, which causes me to dark pact another minion. I'll swear, she'll laugh, and then I'll concede. This is pretty much how all my games go.
TL, DR: If you want to have hobbies, don't have kids.
I used to play with other stuff alt/tabbed in the background but i kept making horrible plays, so these days just some music if anything. I also play worse on my phone, no doubt about it, but still play on it sometimes for convenience.
when I play on my laptop (which is like 95% of the time) I do the opposite of you and pout the youtube video I watch in a little box in the corner and put hearthstone fullscreen
I like looking at Jimmy Kimmel videos that have Guillermo while playing, relaxes me and makes me laugh. I don't like pushing ranks so I play for fun, like as a hobby

Skidaddle skidoodle your Milhouse manastorm is now a noodle
Usually play it with a stream or youtube on the the other monitor, usually watching day9. I don't watch movies or series because I get distracted by the game when I clearly would rather be watching the episode/ movie.
Fullscreen, mostly with some kind of stream open on my 2nd monitor. I should play more without distraction though, my winrate would go up :D Also play it on my tablet at work breaks.
I play in windowed but a pretty big one, just small enough so I can still see the tabs in my browser in case I get a work related email. On my TV there's always going to be something on, usually netflix to start with, then once I start getting too tired (and/or drunk) to pay attention to both at the same time, I switch to Savjz's stream. I used to have Thijs if I was playing during the day on saturdays but I can't stand him anymore. When he's just talking normally he's fine, but as soon as someone subs (which is once every 30 seconds or so) he does that annoying loud fake "tank you less than three" routine and I'm just like stop yelling at me and hit mute. I really wish streamers didn't feel compelled to do over the top scripted-sounding thank yous to every single sub.
When I'm on my phone I use my index finger to all the work like some kind of deranged 40 year old mother taking a picture on her new iphone for the first time
On PC (fullscreen, usually listening to music or some stream open in the background) or a phone. Occasionally on my slowish laptop which doesn't allow anything to be run at the background while playing or it gets too laggy. Nowadays it's mostly just 1-2 games at a time anyway, before I get so pissed off with the current state of the game that I have to quit.

I have a triple monitor setup and I usually don't focus 100 % on the game 'cause I like to watch videos and streams while I play.
