With the soon to be double nerfing of Quest Rogue I can't but help than to see if I can drive rogue haters out of the word work to just admit they don't like having rogue in any meta. If this wasn't the case we would have had a lot more rogue decks that have managed to avoid nerfs and/or hall of fame rotations, which are honestly very few.
Miracle Rogue saw auctioneer nerfed and Conceal rotated out.
Leeroy/Arcane Golem OTK decks saw Leeroy also nerfed and arcane golem completely overhauled.
Kingsbane Mill Rogue saw oracle rotated out.
Oil Rogue saw Blade Fury nerfed.
Pirate Rogue saw Small Time Buccaneer & Patches nerfed (This one being an indirect nerf).
Tempo Rogue saw Patches nerfed, as well as Bonemare.
Off of the top of my head the only mainstream rogue deck (used somewhat loosely here) that was not nerfed was Water Rogue (which actually still received an indirect nerf due to the warleader nerf) Maly Rogue, and Jade Rogue.
I'd like someone to be able to come up with an actual strong argument that proves anything contrary to the observation that rogue is anything other than a class that constantly gets nerfed out of top tier status, if not dismantled entirely.
Ironically, the wild deck in my sig is also a nerfed rogue deck, following Sonya Shadowdancer's hotfix. :P
first off, Sonya got hotfixed???? also they purposely give rogue no good healing options (other than recent lifesteal weapon strategies that usually require a deck built around them) even tho their hero power probably makes you take the most damage
Rogue is one of my favourite classes (alongside warlock and mage) so I share your pain bro, each time a rogue deck is nerfed, a little part of me dies inside, hehe :P, but I don't think this is the community's fault, it's just Blizzard that obviously dislikes the class (for whatever reason).
Those are all highly combo based decks which had little to no counterplay and just weren’t fun to play against, due to their lack of interactivity. No Blizzard/playerbase doesn’t just hate Rogue.

Yep, for the April 16th hotfix which was; "Resolved an issue where copies of transforming Worgen cards with different mana costs would change those costs when they transformed (Splintergraft copies, Sonya Shadowdancer copies, etc)"
For the vast majority of normal games the hotfix won't affect rogue in any way, but the hotfix for some odd reason did not just make it so that the worgen cards changed costs when they transformed via Sonya Shadowdancer copies it also makes it so any minion cost reducing effect doesn't reduce Sonya copied minions below 1 mana when it should (such as Sonya copied mechs getting reduced to 0 mana when Mech Warper is on the board with Sonya).

That is very true, but then we have to ask why rogue most is just given combo cards to make decks out of (considering they will most likely get nerfed soon after anyway) when they could instead be given big threats and lower mana control cards to fill in the gaps, or even better midrange cards.
If warrior can get changed from a control deck to a hyper aggresive pirate warrior, or mage can go from a tempo/burn/combo class to a control-based class via FL Jaina and Dragon's Fury, then I'd think rogue could be better expanded to be able to do more stuff too. Heck, mage used to also be a class that lacked heals outside of Ice Barrier, but even they can heal a very considerable amount now.

The HS community doesnt like any strong decks. The calls for nerfs will soon start again.
I don't know about the Leeroy Arcane golden deck, and it sounds interesting, can someone please explain?
Back in vanilla and naxx era HS the deck centered around cycling through your deck quickly to get Leeroy or Arcane Golem and using Shadowsteps on them to charge face, with your last attack with that minion getting double buffed with Cold Blood.

(Note: I'm an idiot. A big thank you to Blizzard for nerfing cards to the point where they're forgotten by people who've been playing this game for years. Check your comments/messages before sending them, people!)
Excuse my Azerothian, but what the fuck are you talking about? Arcane Golem wasn't released until Karazhan, which was released so far off from Naxx, what are you even on about? Do you mean Molten? Also, Cold Blood isn't a Warrior card. When you mention using Shadowstep on them to charge face, are you talking about the old version of Warsong Commander? Your comment is so fucking confusing.

It would be less confusing if you knew what you were talking about. Arcane Golem and Arcane Giant are two different cards. timandericmindblown.gif

FUCK, I trolled myself into submission. I forgot it had charge. Hold on, while I link your quote in my signature as a reason to pay attention to shit before you send it off. Fucking nerfs, making me forget about cards. I'm an idiot.
Rogue was my favorite class when I first started playing but as time has went on, my love for it has dropped off a cliff. It's just not fun. Quest rogue is barely even a real deck, it's just an exploitation in the meta that let's you insta win or insta lose based on your que. Miracle is a tired dead horse that is boring as hell after 1000 or so games. Weapon rogue hasn't received any interesting support buffs like oil and Blade Flurry was an awesome card. Thief rogue finally got a cool card with Tess, just as they rotate out most of the thief package. Great job. Tempo rogue? More like neutral rogue. It's quite telling when few nerfs to a few neutral cards basically destroyed the archetype.
It's just not an exciting class to play. If you aren't running a deck half full of classic and basic cards in your rogue deck, your rogue deck is probably going to get nerfed. Just a boring class to play and I truly wish it wasn't. Quest rogue 100 percent needs a nerf though. I don't know how anyone but the most dimwitted individual could argue against that.

Maybe Rogues should stop making oppressive decks? Just my two cents.
The thing about that is what else do rogues have to build that will actually be competitive? Seriously, in all of metas where a top tier rogue deck existed take a moment to mentally delete the cards that built those decks and then try to build the next best deck during that meta that didn't use cards for that better deck. See anything playable? Most likely not.
The class has almost universally lacked board clears and heals. Solid control cards have also been lacking to build up to their hit and miss big threats that they have been thrown now and then. Their aggro and combo decks always get nerfed on top of that.
I feel it is a little naive to simply say the class should stop making oppressive decks considering the limited array of archtypes that are presented to the class each expansion (mostly combo, with some aggro sprinkled in) and left with no fallback alternatives in any of the new expansions that the class can use to fall back on to make a different rogue archtype for the meta that is not an "oppressive deck".
Do what I do and play Mech Rogue. Saltiness over GvG has long since past, to the point where Mechs have become almost quaint by comparison. Iron Sensei is one of my favorite cards from back then, and the deck isn't going to be nerfed anytime soon.
To be more on-topic, I have to agree with some in-that the community wouldn't be so anti-Rogue if the Rogue didn't produce such problematic situations in the first place.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
Come visit my Card Emporium. Strange things, you will find inside...
Come take the test, if you're daring. Feel free to show me your results in a message.
I'd love to see your argument on why Quest Rogue and the leeroy OTK decks were good for the game.
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

The HS community doesn't like any deck that has a win condition.
What about Hunter Class?
I was here since before the game released. But I do not remember a double-nerf on Leeroy or Auctioneer. Can you explain?
